Slightly slower than whip, but not much more so.

Does anyone have a list of which items to take for the quest yet? And how does that new weapon compare to lets say.. a whip?

Well, you can train strength with it.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In general, you will need:

 

 

 

- Blessed Holy Symbol

 

 

 

- Diving Gear

 

 

 

- 4 + 10 + 4 planks.

 

 

 

- 10 bear fur.

 

 

 

- at least 30 nails, but I used about 60.

 

 

 

- Hammer

 

 

 

- Good Melee Armor and Weapon

EDIT #1: Blessed lamp is 5000 xp in skill of your choice (Farming FT99!)

 

 

 

EDIT #2: Zombie pirates drop at least one new item, I got Bandana Eyepatch... interesting.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Bandana isn't new, if you take a bandana and eyepatch to some pirate (i forgot who) near moslee harmless bank (w\e name is) he'll combine them

*Items needed/suggested: 18 Normal Planks, 75 (to be safe) nails, 10 furs, teleport to Yanille (to talk to Murphy for Diving equipment), A few home teleports (Canifis Portal helps), Ring of Charos (a), Ecto, Holy Symbol, Book o'Piracy (at least for the Anchor fixing part), 50k gp if you want the Anchor weapon fixed, Energy Potions won't hurt. Rune armour and good food for the fight, you'll have time to bank before it starts - he hit 20-25's on me and I'm 88 Def.

i don't feel its worth it to raise prayer.. can't be bothered and i don't want to raise it..

You know the prayer book you get during quest, after the quest i used it again and it said "you recite the prayer even though you are unpoisoned" so i if you are poisoned wear a holy symbol and recite the prayer book and it will heal your poison
