Herblore...

I have seen just about every skill cape except herblore

and how does this prove you right?

Herblore

First you got to earn 1billion which is part of the skill process as your obtaining money to train this skill which will take years. Then you got to do the skill which will take months.

cost doesnt make it the hardest, i spent about 4mil on herblore total and on average got 1-60 herblore in under a day

I read a thread about how long, hard and boring it is to train mining. The guy trained during 5 months in order to get from lvl 70 to 85. That's not even for lvl 99 mining, which would really take forever.

Lvl 99 farming would take something like 5 months for someone not overly rich.

Lvl 99 slayer would take like 8-10 months? My friend took around 6 months to gain 85 slaying, and she was online all the time, so I'm assuming the time based on that.

Lvl 99 Rc, maybe around 5-8 months, depending on the way you train it.

Mining wins.

can you come up with accurate stats now? and not something based off of your friends or people youve seen?

not saying your wrong either. but no good backup points

We can't get any backup points, it all depends on how many hours you play, how much you're efficient, etc. If you feel like doing some scientific calculations using the exp tables, the calculators, etc, go on and have fun. Compare and try to find out which one has the slowest exp per hour assuming the people use the fastest methods for each skills. Mining wins by far anyway, I personally feel no need to bore myself doing such things.

Also, I remember reading from 2 or 3 miners that their maximum exp was 40k an hour. But it might be a little higher if you mine granite.

Rc deaths would be around 10k exp an hour, but the exp would be more quick if you use the world 66 law company, etc. Slayer exp depends on which slayer master you use, which assignments you get, etc. Farming, no clue, sounds complicated to calculate. But I'm positive that it would be more than 40k exp an hour by planting magic trees and palm trees (which would cost insanely a lot of money). See, what you're asking for is not as simple. And you also have to take in account farming and Rc can be bought, while slayer and mining cannot. But go on and calculate all that if you want rofl :XD: Haha and this is just a forum thread, it not as if this actually mathered.

Slayer is the hardest 99 to get followed by runecrafting. Farming can't be compared because it costs money not time.
Sorry but I have to disagree. I think agility, mining, fishing, and RC are all harder than slayer.

I'd agree with that, and i think Trix and I would both know considering our skill levels

mining- 30k xp per hour if you have runners, no randoms, no misclicks, also by power mining iron ore, cant do granite anymore, most clicks for 99 in the game

agility- 40k xp per hour without mistakes, less clicking than mining

slayer- tasks based on luck. on average this skill is the lowest xp per hour, roughly it takes 40000 kalphite soldiers to get 85 slayer if anyone gets that lucky to get 400 of those tasks in a row and use a cannon it would be good xp

farming- not that hard of a skill since you can plant and logout

rc- i dont rc much but i know 1k ess crafted per hour is possible which is pretty slow xp, but runners makes it so much faster.

con- fastest xp per hour in the game

also for statistics

358 people with 99 mining - 90.000.000 exp - autoers lived on

205 people with 99 agility - 61.535.940 exp

188 people with 99 slayer - 33.370.722 exp

123 people with 99 farming - 50.790.098 exp

164 people with 99 runecrafting - 157.034.220 exp

88 people with 99 construction - 21.813.432 exp

You can't simply base it upon the time that your mates took to complete levels.. They play different amounts of hours per day and almost certainly use different methods. The only true way to compare is to work out the max xp per hour using the most effective method (regardless of cost).

With that in mind:

Runecrafting using w66 laws = 35k xp per hour

Farming = 9.6k per hour unattended(4 magics - 8hrs to grow, and 4 palms 14.6hrs to grow). However, this is not a true reflection on effort since this is a unique skill that has a set timeline. Realistically, to plant and harvest these 8 trees would probably take an hour. Thus you would get the full xp of 95.5k xp for an hours effort... You can do something else whilst they're growing!

Slayer = ? xp per hour (Axe man jack maybe you could help?) Hard to calculate due to the luck of tasks, but assuming cannoning all tasks where it is possible.

Mining = 45k xp per hour(?) powermining granite, not sure, don't mine much anyone who knows please confirm/update

Agility = ? Most effective probably ape atoll after lvl 73, but wildy is pretty quick too. Again, anyone who knows the xp per hour please update.

^ when the gaps in the data above are known then you'll have a view on which is the "hardest" in terms of most time-consuming for the effort put in. To my mind, farming is not comparable to any of the others, as although it is slow to level it is not effort intensive in the same way that others are...

Slayer is harder to train then farming as you have to rely on getting good tasks to get good slayer xp but farming you just plant trees and wait. Currently im training slayer and farming at the same time multi-tasking ftw woooooot!!

farming isnt hard..if your rich..

slayer just takes a really long time , but it trains your combat stats at the same time...so , if you want 120+ combat , iam sure you could get there on the way to 99 slayer.

but the hardest is agility..

think about it..

SO BORING...lol

trees take hours to grow and you say farming costs no time

I wouldn't know wich one is harder

sure slayer is slower, but also a lot cheaper than farming

More like 30k exp an hour ~ power mining granite.

i think there was an update to granite where you get hit by the heat of the desert ? unless they changed it

either way it comes down to two skills

slayer and mining

everything else has been proven not to be harder than these two skills and we are talking xp wise, not your likes or dislikes

if you ask me from basic power leveling from 1 to 99 it would take longer to get to 99 farming if you trained the same amount of time for slayer everyday just imagine a level 126 with level 1 slayer and farming playing 5-6 hours a day he will get 99 slayer faster then 99 farming but if you say a level 80ish like me without a cannon tries slayer tasks take longer making slayer take longer then farming for a lower level

slayer, you gottta put up with the annoying tasks and to get more exp than farming a day you have to play all day instead of 1 hour planting and harvesting
