What's your New Year's Resolution?

Every year I seem to fail these resolutions.

So I'm going to stick to this one!

my New Years resolution is to keep working at the same place that I am currently working at. It may seem easy to work at a Animal Hospital. But really it's not. Specially with the boss I have now. Alot of people actually quit in the spring because they don't want to go through summer again. (Since more people will be going on vacation in the summer time) it's living hell here. It really wasn't bad for my first summer, due to the fact gas prices were extremely high here, No one would want to go on vacation. Since Gas prices are ALOT cheaper, I'm sure next summers going to be a living hell.

Whats your New Years Resolution for year 2009?

I don't get it. What's the point of new year resolutions? Can't you just make a decision to work out more or eat only vegetables or clean up any other time of the year?

Not me. I need all the motivation I can get my lazy procrastinating hands on.

It can be symbolic for some people, promising an improvement on the eve of a 'new year' (literally).. Sadly for many people I know, those 'resolutions' mean nothing.

They still go back to smoking, excessive junk food, whatever they're trying to get rid of. It ultimately takes your dedication and willpower, not just 'promising' to do something. If you -really- wanted to quit eating junk food for example, you could do it whether it was May, September or January..

I rather make long-term commitments regardless of what the calendar says

I've never made resolutions. I make changes when it's necessary that I do, or when I want to. I don't randomly think of a list of things to do just because it's a new year :P

What annoys me most about the near year's resolution thing is that everyone does the same thing each and every year!

Typical items on a new years resolution list:

- clean more

- lose weight

- get better grades

- stop smoking

- stop drinking

- No meat

- Many, many more

It's always those things for everyone!

Find a new job.

Find a new education that actually interests me by March/April.

Start working out more regularly.

Drink less.

Oh boy.

Sounds like a tough year.

And when you ask someone their favorite color everyone chooses from red, blue, green, yellow, black, white, orange, purple, and pink.

Yeah, as others here have said, I don't like to organize a list of goals for myself, I don't think or work that way.

At the beginning of every new year I do kinda feel a sense of cleansing of the mind, feels kinda like a fresh start.

EDIT: After looking at Riku's list of cliche resolutions, I'll decide to make some resolutions just for originality purposes. (that I will go through with)

-Don't eat green bananas(once you peel it, I feel like I'm wasting food if I don't eat it, so DON'T PEEL IT UNTIL RIPENESS)

-Don't wear un-matching socks(not for fashion purposes, but simply because it kinda annoys me periodically throughout the day whenever I think about my socks because of my slight-ocd)

-While playing Counter-Strike Source, try not to Mic-spam or say "F*** Y**" after every time I get killed (not because I'm actually angry, its kinda like a reflex by now)

-Don't eat fruits while at the computer(I always get the juice on my fingers then on the keyboard then I have to use rubbing alcohol to clean it)
