RuneScape Classic was updated...?

Featured Replies

Well last time I played the game was a few months ago just to log in and walk around. Decided to check and make sure I can still log in to Classic so I could apply for the Classic forums access Jagex is offering to players if they can play Classic.

While loading the game it asked if I wanted to run and allow Classic like the java loader thing and then it says it's been updated...

Its because what was cached on your computer got deleted..

Delete C:\.jagex_cache_32 and normal rs will say it is updated and it will have to reload again.

this; or they may have applied some of the newer anti cheat mechanisms from RS2 to classic aswell

Oooo I'm going to see if I get it. Although I do think it's because you had to reload it.

And if you haven't logged into classic for a while, you're wiped

no, there was a six month period after new accounts were stopped where if you didn't log in you're wiped. As long as you logged in during those six months your account would be safe. I didn't log on my classic account once during 2008.

I get that message everytime I had logged on RS classic.

I think it have to do with your cache. Nothing to be surprised about
