jwrm22
17 July 2006 - Pyramid Plunder Next Isn't it frustrating when tomb raiders keep stealing your treasure and smashing up all your urns? No? Well, if you were a thousand year old mummy charged with looking after a tomb, you'd be frustrated. Believe us. In fact, there is one Mummy in Sophanem who became so angered by the pesky thieves that he adapted part of his tomb to cater for them. If he can keep them busy, then maybe they will leave him and the King's treasures alone! In this thieving minigame, players have a limited time to pick through tombs, sarcophagi and urns, dodging venomous asps, scarabs and even a few mummies. Confident thieves can try to find their way to the higher floors where the rewards and risks are greater... The particularly light-fingered may also find the King's sceptre - this regal item will aid the frequent pyramid visitor in their travels. To start this game, make your way to Sophanem, and investigate the northern pyramid. Tarik will tell you some of the mysteries of the pyramid if you wish to prepare for dangers within. Then you will have to solve the Mummy's first small puzzle: which of the mysterious doors marks the way in? ^^ click my sig for my lesser ranging guide ^^jwrm22: 4816th > 99 cooking 100% f2p !1172 total! + 140mil in items.i dont play anymore... i think rs is ruined

Sonicspeed
On top of these treasures, though, you may be fortunate enough to find a jewelled golden sceptre, formerly the property of an ancient king. This sceptre is imbued with certain magical properties that will transport the bearer to any of the three great pyramids: Jalsavrah, Jaleustrophos and Jaldraocht. Jalsavrah is the tomb in which you found the sceptre, and this teleport will take you directly into the Guardian Mummy's presence. Jaleustrophos is the Agility Pyramid, and will deposit you near Simon Templeton's camp. Jaldroacht is the pyramid that you must go to if you wish to change your spellbook to Ancient Magicks - provided you have already completed Desert Treasure, of course. The sceptre only holds three charges, but you can recharge it by giving the Guardian Mummy a number of artefacts from within the pyramid. You will need 24 pottery or ivory artefacts, 12 stone artefacts or 6 gold artefacts to recharge the sceptre. I think that reward's worth it. henk333
The only reward mentionable (gold sceptre) requires 91 thieving to get, so I guess this minigame will be abandoned pretty soon, unless the xp is really good. Haven't played RuneScape since 12 january 2007 and it feels great :)

pokemama
Jagex's guide seems pretty good. Wonder what new stuff we will find out that's not listed, lol? it's a lot easier to get over yourself when you look at intelligence the same way you look at beauty, or height, or eye color: being smart is easy, but being good is hard ... being smart is handed to you, being good is handed to *nobody*. DarkDude
Where does it say that you need 91 thieving to get the scepter? I think it'll be like the shade burning mini-game, the 91 offers best odds of getting it, the lower down the less likely you are to get one. meb
I don't think it's worth starting some quest for it, I already did one today and that's more than I can take. The kb says that there are 8 levels and the last level requires 91 thieving to access. The last level is also where you get the sceptre. Lord_K
It sounds pretty good, especially the sceptre, no longer will I have to pick up camel dung just to get to the ancient pyramid. I also hope it'll be good exp but I dunno, but this certainly an incentive to train thieving again.

Incase you haven't noticed, it doesn't EXACTLY say that the sceptre is on the last level ;) It just says the sceptre exists and what it does.
