Our school uses macs. Last year they had it set up so that student monitors (durign lunch and after school) could see the screen of any computer and seize control at any time. This year we dont seem to ahve any monitors as we have a new computer teacher, but I know that the server at least can still do it. It's one of the reasons I bring my laptop. Using the wireless or a cable, the server dosen't have a clue what im doing. Of course id still have to use a mac during computer class if I were still in it.

They look cool and are compleatly useless. A pack rats worst nightmare :ohnoes:

I will say having a nicly glosed (reflective) screen really does wonders for your movies. This laptop is super glossed and it's got the best picture i've ever seen from a monitor. Of course the only way I could ever hope to use it outside during the day would be to boost the monitor power untill it was set someplace between 'sunburn' and 'vaporize' but I never use computers outside so I don't mind. Plus it doubles as a mirror when the screens off :wink: It really comes down to personal preferance.

Also, to help clarify needed staff (since the recruitment thred was locked by request), we will include a list of any staff positions we are still looking to fill in our next edition, or sooner should the need arise.

I second that. Don't get me wrong AoK is great, but AoM is different, especily with the uniqe teams thing. Unfortunatly my skills at AoK far outmatch my AoM skill, so I can't really offer any advice. I can do some triggers in Empire Earth, but I don't rember how simalar the trigger systems are. As for cut scenes, I imagine it is limated to any sort of video (don't know what formats) on your computers hard drive.

It's nice to know what the big expensive items are doing. I'd cheack prices myself but I just can't be bothered (and I know that dosent make much sense :? ). One of these every 3 months would be neat :D

Incredibly slow if you walk. I'd say its about the distance from the faladore west bank to mind alter. Walking i'd estimate 1m 50s (I only tried that once and I wasent timeing), but maby as long as 2m 10s.

I feel like the only person who might have not even noticed this if everyone werent complaining about it. Wow, it's a slash in a zero, have you never seen them printed like that before? Now they look like numbers and can really wish people would give themselves a day or 2 to get used to it and then see if they still think it's worth there time to rant about it. The only place I really notice the change is in stackable items, but I think it looks BETTER.

The problem with that is even in the free games (or especily in the free games) people can use real money to gain HUGE advantages. *Dreams of old imperial star cruiser, with its photon torpedoes[special weapon] and a full bank of nukes *drool*/. ah good times). Wikipedia ha sa veary decent article on all the ships, planets, and mechanics of that game. Though its not exactly a RPG, its like .5 RPG. And Netrek, though not many people play it and its not an RPG, still once you actualy get the hang of that deceptivly complex game, its very good.

not a bad idea, a necromancer who focuses solely on the bone & poison tree plus on some sort of golem is truly a force to be reconed with. Everyone has elemental resistance of some kind (or they should), there is no magic resistance, and no item in the game can signifigantly reduce magic damage. Of couse bone spear and bone spirit (think thats what its called) will never achive damages like that ones the soceress can do with fire and lightning, but its more consistant, and poison nova is just EVIL.

Hey xweeler, didn't you played aok: expansion. Personaly im normally byzantine (at least in online play), and I have a heavyly defensive style that normally involves me defending all my allies while they attack, and since my buildings have way more hp that works quite well. But why so many janisarys. you need some more conventional archers that are more accurate, like horse archers or arbalasts. Some skirmishers at least, lest you fall under heavy archer attack. But even if you don't go for the archers (and I can see why you migth not), at least some cavalry, and I think you have paladins too. If not cavilers will work. If hes heavy on the monks, than hussars are a must, there veary hard to convert. The Byzintines are an incredibly defensive civ, Use your janisarys and cavalry to gaurd your trebuchets while they wipe out the enemy. for the turks, I would suggest you build 4-6 of whatever form of ram you have (maby seige or capped ram), and fill them all with champions (who own buildings in large numbers), or alternativly 4 champions and 2 pikeman depending on how cavalry intensive your opponent is. I see no reason for you to ingage his navy at all. If you want any mroe advice, you know where to find me :wink:

As a general rule I find paladins and soceresses excel in pvp roles. The hammerdin can beat most any monster (a good one can solo uber tristram though that migth be expansion only). Barabarians have the potential to kick anyones [wagon] except maby a sorceress depending on equipment. Necromancers tend to have a harder time, there minions are to weak with many people (beause the monsters get harder every time someone joins the game), though curses are usfull to your party (like auras and shouts). I find the amazons don't really excell at anything, though they arent really bad at anythign either. I favor barbarians and necromancers myself, though a barbarion will never be a champ without really good gear. For the expansion the "Immortal King" set is one of the best (and barbarian only), though I dont like using a war hammer. The "deathspade winged axe" uniqe weapon is also an amazing weapon in nightmare difficulty (its a super powered throwing axe that automaticly replenishes so its niegh imposible to run out).

Lets see. It hugely advances the fremminik/moonclan story line. Location: Well it's not like there going to put it in the middel of ardounge now is it, and the khazzard spirit tree is veary close by. And Im sure there was a strong zammakorian pressence in that area before, now theres a reson. Not everything can be convienient and just one step away from a major city with a teleport spell leading to it. Also, RC'ing is no longer more boring than watching paint dry. And they sort of did give us teh blood and soul alter, just not dedicated ones. I'm sure we will get those alters either this year or next. There way of allowing us to level without becoming filthy rich :wink:

The way I see it, combat is still skills so I do both. They benifit each other, there is no point neglecting combat or non-combat.

The one I don't like is the normal "penut free" thing. Yes I am aware that some people can have a potentialy fatal reaction to even the smell, but really. I can understand the rule in elementry (grades 1-6) and maby even junior high (grades 7-9) btu High School? The rest of the world is not penut free (at least not yet), so I don't see why hundreds or thousands of people should not be allowed to have a penut butter sandwich, or a resses pieces at lunch if they so desire. We have eppi pens, which should be sufficent to get you to teh hospital. One other point, I have seen this at least 3 times. May God have mercy on someone with a penut allergie, if the other kids find out there the one responsible for the ban on penuts. I have seen kids in elementry and junior high get pretty badly hurt because someone figured it out. If I were deathly allergic to penuts, I would rather have the ban lifted than live in constant fear that someone would find out, resulting in me getting seriously hurt, most likely several times. People really like there penut butter, you do not want to be the reason they can't enjoy it 6 hours a day :ohnoes: And by seriously hurt, I mean elementry kids being responsible for putting another kid in the hospital with a suspected neack injury, and though the adults never really found out, penut allergies were the primary motivation :uhh: :ohnoes:

Well to all the abyss pk'ers out there: "Shove this in your pipe and smoke it" (I have been waiting way to long to say that :P ). It's way easyer for your average joe to level Rune crafting now, you don't even need glories :mrgreen: . And with thousands of fire runes that need wasting, I can keep it up for a veary long time.

THis is disgusting. Also since it was Mom, and it's kinds hard for a woman to rape, the sons were proboly willing participants so I think all 3 should be facing incest charges.

Off the top of my head, you can smith steel bars into cannon balls. It's about the only way to even break even buying steel bars. It's also incredibly slow, maby half the speed of regular smithing.

It's nice to know people are looking forward to our next editions. This was undoubtably our best yet (at least as far as i'm concerned). I think I speek for everyone who is a part of our team that we all enjoy putting the paper together as much as you enjoy reading it.

Well, we'd be kinda [bleep]ed if the protons in all the atoms in our body suddenly desided to all go to one side of the nucleus and the neutrons go on the other. Without the neutron spacing the protons would be forced away from each other and then all the electrons would suddenly follow suit. The protons don't all go to one side though, because there 'charge''s repel, so the neutrons provide spacing. As for the electron shape, why would the electrons suddenly go to a square orbit? Theres no reason too, theres no forces acting upon them that would make them do something like that.

be nice, but all the extra visual information would mean the servers all need upgrades and the suprisingly large number of people on 56k modems would lagg so bad they'ed never be able to play. Even if it were an option I doubt the servers could handel clients that reqire at least twice (possibly 3 times) the visual data of the current RS client. Id rather it stay small then go to 10 fps (frames per second).
