  1. I think I avereaged 300 tickets per drop. And by average I mean thta rate +/- 20 for every defender but bronze and rune. at leats 2300 overall most of that was with a ring of wealth.
  2. I never thought of it as gambling before. Maybe thats why it seems to be so addicting for many people. I never though of that myself and thats a good strong point in favor of Jagex.
  3. Aren't they? No they are not on a grand scale. That is for prices that are way off like Rune boots 181k (Now 85k) And lava battlestaff 60k. Because it would take a few days before these would touch the "real" market price for these items. Jagex will only intervine for 1 of 2 reasons. 1. Over time price manipulation is a possibility. If there countermesures fail then they will correct the price as needed. 2. They may lower prices if inflation gets to out of hand (prices increse to much to fast). This is reasonable considering realworld governments manipulate things to help reduce inflation in the real world. This means we wont hav eto rely solely on gold sinks in the future.
  4. I disagree with extremists as a policy. Even if their extreme about something I belive in becasue being fanatical rrely if ever leads to anything good. I also resent people who try to impose their values on my life. Im not talkign things like not murdering someone, im talking about religon and dont eat meat. PETA can love animals till pigs fly for all I care. But imposing their belifs on me, they can go [bleep] themselves. And I wouldnt be against a citizes arrest either (in Canada thats where someone jumps on someone whos breaking the law preventing a getaway while the cops arrive). Say it was a fur coat, they coujld at least expect to be charged the price of the coat, the legal fees, and maybe another couple hundred as emotional compensation. Willfull damage of another persones property can be considered vandalisim, probably wouldnt be hard to apply that to a garment, or just go teh easy way and use a small claims court.
  5. Only melee sets. ranged and mage sets are 3 pices I belive.
  6. Some observations: The most the price can change each day is +/- 5% seeign as it is an average of the price of deals. +/- 5% can be a pretty big range. Sure its restricting for cheep things (5% of 100k is 5k) but once your into 1m items 5% is suddelny 50k. This is done to stabalise the economy. It prevents massive price shifts and keeps a price steady all day so that people in all timezones have the same chance. Some prices are proboly out of whack now. In a few days the prices shoudl have reached a point where they resemble the forums and worlds over 10. With the exception of things that are only sold on worlds 1 and 2 those worlds are not an accurate representation of the general market. Those worlds have extreme prices in both directions. Jagex is not price controling, they had to start teh prices somewhere and the system will take it from there. The forums and major trading worlds may be faster for now, and for some items, but in time the GrEx will become the referance for trades in trading worlds and forums as well. Besides its easier and thats worth some time. Give it a week, untill then complaints have no merit at all, and shame on you for not even considering giving it a chance. I am disgusted with the people bashing the system when it hasent even had a chance to update prices yet.

But from a human perspective all those things exist. Sure time a limitation of our ability to precive an aditional dimension, but that makes it real (well to us anyway). And not all of us here are dying, im sure theres a 12 year old around here someplace and you don't start to age (dont start dying) untill about 13 years old. Old age is natural for most cretures. True, in nature a human would never make it there because or old age is much greater than many other speices. We would likely die of disese befor 50. And the other stuff, well I dont have a clue what your talking about alot of the time. Personally I think you one of those people who think the big democratic nations are out to get everyone.

I had better grammar in grade 4, better math skills too. You really shoudl work on teh math thing, I mean, if your 17 and you werent sure you were right thats kinda scary :ohnoes:
  9. Works great for me (for now) because I always go fighting alone. And now if I am going to die from poison or something I know that all I have to do is get near a fairy ring, spirit tree, gnomme glider or one of the city teleports and I will be able to get my stuff back. Though with a spawn in falador the fairy rings push the limit and gliders might exceed it but still, its hope.
  10. Oh no, were still competitive (seeign as our next publihs date is a week early), but friendly competition is betetr for both sides and more enjoyable for our readers as well as it prevents mebers of either paper having flame wars which frankly are just spam. I'm glad to see your back to a paper format (or paper/portal hybrid) because I have always wondered how a portal works on a form as upadates dont bump the post containing it. Though it should be stated that I only speak for myself when I say I wish you know ill will and look forward to having decent competition (keeps standards high). I do not speak for the rest of management (Junka, Book/Unorclan, or 25_leaf) or for the rest of our staff. However I know that unorclan is not interested in any more flame wars at least \ Randox Co-Manager of the Gielinor Tribune & WOMDA Forum Administrator
  11. ont know if id want to or not. I might actualy not like many of the people I am friends with in game. On teh internet, differences are not as obvious (things like apperence), we dont know the person, if there popular or not. Also people tend to act much closer to their true nature in a game with people they dont know because there are no real concequences. What you see in game may be a more accurate representation of someone then if you met them in reality. The jerks in game could very well be people who are nice or quiet in real life simply because they arent big enough or confident enough to push real people around. And a bully might be a really nice guy in game because hes not being judged by his peers. It would be interesting, but I might worry about ingame relationships suffering. I could also mention that an old friend in game was also a friend of mine from school who was in my class 3 years ago. We were friends for months before we realised we each played game and knew each other. It also showed how different people are in reality and in game. I know I act a bit deifferently, and my friend was even more noticable.
  12. And in my opinion, your opinion is dumb :anxious:  That article that everyone complained about...no comment. Im a skiller not a merchant so I naturaly have a different outlook, specificly I did a dance when I first herd about it. Course now im worried that Jagex's new policies might make them do something stupid that results in a mass quitting, but surely they realise that and wont try any funny buissness. If they do, well Websters will have to publish a new edition to add all the new curse words that will be invented. I'm glad people enjoy the paper, and im also happy that we don't seem to be afraid of controversy, though that was bordering on stupidity. ANywho whats done is done and the best any of us can do is learn from our mistakes while we try to avoid making new ones (as in new mistakes).
  13. You never reply to the paper im a part of :x Any ways same thing he said, great job. And seeign as I know Xewleer I extend an extra congradulations to him at geting his work more publicity than can be found in whatever tipit calls the literature board (migth call varrock library) =D> And maybe youed tell him thta on your site since I don't think he ever even browses the general board and I might forget :uhh: And does this mean your a paper now and not a portal?
  14. There dise seem to be a pattern of lowerign our dependance on trades. Aside from the list in teh first post lootshare can be added. But I dont think theyll stop it, and they do recognise that people borrow money. I think if direct trading were removed, possibly half (or more) of the merchants would quit on the spot just to send Jagex a big [bleep] you. Its what all the stakers should have done (should do) is stop renewing their membership.
  15. This would work for really good friends. TBH if I were a middel person, than 5-10% of each persons stake would be enough that scamming wouldnt be worth my while (I like repeat buisness). I would think 10% for like 1m wagers and 5% for maybe 5m and up.
  16. Its a new skill, which they stated quite clearly in the article. Also life runes will most likely not be involved because they said its a completly new skill.
  17. Do row 1 Do row 2 Do row 3 Do the left 6 squares (first 3 of rows 4 and 5) Do the last 4 (the last 2 [2 on the right] of row 4 and the 4th block of row 5) and there is no 5th block of row 5.
  18. To the part where he tells you to go see a fairy who will explain how there used. I think 2 or 3 parts, no skill reqirements that I recall.
  19. Rigth up till now I could always hope that they would relese soemthign more like necromancy. Oh well, this could be neat though I dont quite understand how animals are going to help me mine, craft, and do herblore (I assume they will aid all skills), so this will be interesting.
  20. Something I learned from starfleet command 3. In it all phasers (and phaser substitutes) have 2 versions at each level. You normall one and a fast version which fires twice as fast at 70% damage with the same accuracy. In a firefight you want fast ones (normally) because if you miss you recover trwice as fast. Of couse if you go for normall you maximum damage at one time is better. Scimitar will proboly wpork out better in teh long run.
  21. Unholy book gives a +8 to all attacks, Guthix's Book of Balence gives a +4 to all attack and defence stats. You dont need to complete either book to get the bonuses.
  22. I like the way you did it. I had forgoten about the recent polls about stakign adn now suspect they were designed to help Jagex predict their upcoming loss. But it wouldnt be a 6 figure income because there a British companie so they pay in pounds which are roughly worth 2 dollars each. Just means a 6 figure in teh states, canada, or austrailia would be 50, 000 pounds in Europe.
  23. omg w00t no more "selling spinac roll 1m"!!! It happens. I think the spinich roll is second only to charcoal and polished buttons, and some months exceeds those 2 combined :ohnoes: . Its also been running longer than some other scams.

Because it either pisses off or exasperates other people and thats the life goal of 1/4 of the rants population sometimes. A bettr answer would be the far more accurate "because there literealy morons (IQ bellow 70 or 90; I forget), DUH!" I respect the tipit rants (most of the time) far more the RSOF rants which seems to populated by people so narrow minded they probably can only see a letter at a time (which might explain poor comrehension).
  25. No; I dont loan valubles (might be because I dont have any single item thats worth over 2mill and most of my good friends consider 2mill to be a fairly small sum of money). If I give something to a friend its normally under the assumption ill never get it back. The odd free herb for a quest or an item at slightly lower than market value (how I have gotten several quest items, d med, rune boots, and almost d legs)
