It's Summer Party Time! - August 2nd, 2012
Deletion replied to jayc3399's topic in General Discussion
Same for me and many others, wouldn't be suprised if odds are lowered as you get more pieces, just out of interest, are you missing the staff? Same for me, I'm missing the hat. -
I kind of asked because I have had a hood ever since I started dging, and have never dged without. I did 50-100 with a hood and only have had a plate for 100-103 so I'm quite used to being without a plate. I think I might just keep hood for now (at least until EoC), unless I decide to max defence beforehand where I will trade hood for a Primal Plate. The things that made me decide to keep it were: 1) I'm used to using a hood (although I don't think it would take long to get reasonably ok with a plate. 2) Hoods may become more/less useful after EoC update. But since they're kind of rare it will be useful to have one. However I do quite like the idea of smithing myself a plate at the start of a dg (since I'm generally with teams that aren't the best they won't mind a wasted minute or so) and taking off the hood to see how it goes.

Try removing all your Jagex files from your User folder. It worked for a guy I live with.
-
It does indeed, and Primal Plate is a much better bind with Blood Necklace than a Hood. However my survivability/ability to path would be a lot lower with Gorg compared to Primal so hence I asked.
-
Hi, I'm 103 Dg and I recently got a Blood Necklace drop so I bound that over my plate (Binds now: Primal Baxe, Hood and BNeck). I know the generally a primal plate is seen as a better bind than a hood, however, I'm only 85 defence (Maxed combat apart from that). So my question is: For me, being 85 defence, is a hood or a Gorgonite plate a more efficient bind? I can survive fine with only a hood (As I did up to 100 Dg) if that matters. If it helps I generally dg with randoms on 67/77 (I don't often Dg so it isn't worth joining a clan). If you have any more questions please ask. Thanks

I'm just mind-blown by the fact that you don't think it's possible to have a net positive happiness from an activity while being upset/angry about a portion of it. I'm actually rather interested into where you got this idea from, is it something you just believe, or do you have citations to back you up? I just don't see how you can say to me, and what seems like everyone else in this thread apart from you, that because you don't agree with some recent minor changes to the game that you don't get any enjoyment out of the game, and you're playing rs for the wrong reasons. It's like playing a sport and having a bad referee decision go against you. You're getting overall enjoyment out of the game, but something that is beyond your control annoyed you. How can you say I don't have a net gain in happiness during that game?
-
Or it's just entirely in your head and the people that aren't flipping out about RWT like to spend their disposable income on something they see as being a leisure activity. I mean I can't help but laugh at some of these posts. I swear a lot of the users here would be better off living in a communist state. Like, what even is capitalism? Edit: Also mods, as I usually browse the forum on a phone, has the report post button just disappeared? I think you missed "What I get from the messages of some people on this thread" part of his message. He was actually agreeing with what you posted.

If it makes any difference I'm pretty sure that having 9 on Maples yields the same number of seeds as 10 on Maples, although I can't honestly remember where I heard this.
-
I wasn't questioning your Slayer efficiency blocklist. I was more meaning that he wants both 99 Slayer and 99 Summoning surely it would be better for him change his blocklist to a more Summoning orientated one, although, if I'm honest, I don't know the xp/hr of the best methods for each. But maybe I'm wrong and it's most efficient to do Slayer as fast as you can and collect the rest of the charms afterwards.
-
He did say he was getting 2 Slayer experience for every 1 Summoning experience which I would think isn't an efficient block list if you value Slayer and Summoning experience near enough equally, and your goal is high/99 levels in both.
-
^ Is that "good" block list even efficient? If his ultimate goal is 99 Slayer and 99 Summoning surely it's worth using a slightly less efficient Slayer block list in favour of Summoning experience?
-
I agree with a bit over 1 to 1. I did tasks that I felt like doing at the time (not the most efficient) and at 99 Slayer I had almost enough charms for 99 Summoning but I was 80-85 Slayer when Summoning came out.

DDef definitely speeds up melee kills considerably. Though you will want a shield swap when maging/ranging (I used EEK but my defence is only 85, at 99 the extra defence from EEK may be trivial for you). Karils > CCbow hands down on DPS, it also has the bonus of not needing to pick up it's ammo (the bolt racks are like ~170 gp per). I doubt the time gained by using the Tokkul-zo (over Onyx (i)) is more than the time it takes to get then 45k(?) tokkul required to recharge the Tokkul-zo. It lasts ~2 runs. It may be worth using if you have surplus tokkul that is just sitting in your bank however.

That's what every other battlestave crafter ever said :P (including me). But, given that 99 crafting is only useful when you're maxing anyway, you pretty much have until 2450 total before you need to start worrying about that. I did 99 crafting like this, cost me around 30m all up and didn't take that long. I had a good friend help me by keeping a GE offer in for battlestaffs so I got them twice as fast. The only problem with this method is that it requires a decent amount of money to be tied up (to get a good stock of staffs) even if the gp/xp isn't overly high.
-
Deleting all the Jagex files in my user folder helped me with stability and graphics issues. You could try that? Also, you could try the Runescape Client which seems to be the most stable way to play in my opinion.

Bring as many prayer renewals as you do overloads (for your first time I would suggest 4 of each). This means you will hardly need any super restores (like 2 flasks) apart from to restore brew stat damage. I brought 6 Super restores on my second cape and it worked fine. You also won't need claws as your specs will be used up with enhanced excaliber healing ovl damage. One of the best things about Karils xbow is that you don't have to pick up bolts. Is there any reason you are bringing both vine whip and cls?

I'm pretty sure it's all to do with the transfer over from rsc to rs2. I have an account that has 9 hp that definitely wasn't created when class choices existed, and definitely wasn't created before tutorial island existed. -
Got hacked, any tips for getting bank back?

That's January 9th 2014, so your account was made January 9th 2004. RS2 was realised in March 2004. I don't see a problem. -
D. V., I'm sorry if I didn't make it clear, I only meant to c1/c2 rush for his first run through of the floors. He mentioned that he got to 50 via tears and lamps so his prestige will be a lot lower than the highest floor he can unlock. So all I meant was for him to rush through to get his prestige to the highest he can before starting to dg properly. There's no point in dging properly if his prestige is 1 (as it will be as he hasn't reset before). He can access floor 26 (I think) but his prestige will be 1 (cause he hasn't dged properly before) , all I was telling him to do was rush through all 26 floors he can access as c1 or c2 (then reset) so his prestige is 26, before he starts dging properly.
-
Also, complexity 1 (or 2 if you value wc and fishing xp) rush all the floors up to the highest you can do before you start and then restart. This will get your prestige (higher prestige = more experience) to the highest you can unlock. There's no point doing any Dging with 1 prestige.

Yeah that's the reason. The Arcane has been changed to be the Mage equivalent of the Divine (Same damage reduction and prayer drain - as in the current game). Where the Elysian is the ranged equivalent and Divine is now the Melee version. Hence people are buying up the Arcane in hopes that it stays this way, which I doubt. It's a Beta, things change and buying up items now, for the update, is stupid. -
I saw that and assumed the same. But I can't figure out how to do it. If I wield a wand and an offhand sword/bow and set a spell to autocast I only mage. If I have a sword/crossbow and an offhand orb/book and set to autocast I only mage. If I have a wand + a book offhand and autocast I cast at 2x speed the same spell. If I don't autocast it either does melee with the wand (main hand) or doesn't mage at all (offhand). It seems to me like I'm missing a setting to choose what I should be doing with my primary and offhands. I swear we were supposed to be able to autocast 2 different spells. Or maybe it's because I only tried SoA and Surge spells which require two hands? I don't know. It frustrated me enough to stop using the beta.
-
Can you not use Magic as an offhand style along with another style or something? If I have a non-mage primary and a mage secondary if I autocast it only mages. Or if I have a Mage primary and a non-mage secondary I still only mage. Am I missing something here, or aren't you able to?
-
I really hope that is the case. That Summoning and Prayer will still be as potent post-update as they are now if not using abilities but won't have an effect on abilities.
