  1. I agree that's annoying. Rune bar takes long to spawn, and there are less than 15 rune rocks in entire runescape. I'd find it annoying if I had 99 smithing. Full rune is worth something like 180K it is totally not free. There are only 6 rune rocks I can think of :s 3 in wildy (1 below the lava maze, or at least it was there in rsc) 2 in the heroes gulid 1 in the dark caves (dark beasts) Anyways, yes... It's hard work to get that rune and ppl expect me to just hand over free rune because I have a high level? I have a life... Not like I'm going to spend it on mining/smithing rune and giving it away, at least not to total strangers
  2. Wow, this is kind of........odd: I felt my IQ dropping by about 100 after reading this. I personally agree with him (leinfo). If it's annoying that you have to impress people with the capes, then don't try and impress them by wearing the capes. Fairly simple logic if you ask me. If making someone happy means spending 5 seconds of your life after only clicking a button a problem, then don't wear the cape. Basically, if "emote beggars" are just too much for you, then just don't wear it. Again, simple logic. I also love how people are so bad at comebacks and counterarguments that the only thing they can say in response to an intelligent post is "uh, well, you're dumb! "sticking out tongue*". I also love how people mistake that capes are only worn to show off to others or impress others, then tell the cape wearers to just suck up the abuse that goes along with it, or leave the cape in bank. Does it take 10 seconds for A SINGLE emote ? yes. Does it take 20 seconds for two emotes ? Yes. Does it get annoying if asked 20 times an hour ? Yes. Does it get annoying to be asked to do it again, just after you did the emote and the one asking wasn't paying attention anymore ? Yes. Does it interrupt whatever you're doing ? Heck yes. There, I spent more than 10 seconds of my life on this post........happy ? oh no, well we wouldnt want you to loose 10 seconds of running or take a break from cutting a tree, or making a potion, etc. the point is, just do hte emote once if oyur being begged, then say somehting polite in refuse to further begs like, "im sorry i've already shwon you my emote" I seriously doubt you are asked that many times, by now people have seen all the emotes excpet for uncommon ones such as herblore, agility, etc. I have the smithing cape and I'm starting to get annoyed by all the ppl that ask for the emote. Sure...10 seconds isn't much of my life... But when you get asked by almost everyone you pass by, it sure takes alot of time (and the smithing emote is one of the longest emotes in game as well, lol) I love the free xp I'm getting from the cape though. Ppl usually bring me rune bars and ask me to smith them some items out of the bars (although there are plenty of noobs who ask for multiple sets of free rune)
  3. You can never really trust anyone.. or at least that's my experience over the past 5 years of playing rs. Even ppl that I've known since I started playing have scammed me in some way or another and the same goes for most of my real life friends. There's no real way of knowing who to trust in this ever changing world of lies :boohoo:
  4. To get all stats 80+ which will get me incredible close to 2000 total, if not pass it =P~
  5. I must be doing something wrong then, since I'm only getting around 100k xp a hour :/ 94/99 atm :D (and no, my melee stats are NOT maxed out... I'll be a lvl 111 with 99 prayer and a leet smithing cape)
  6. How about demonic armour/weapons? Seeing as there is a "demonic" throne after the crystal one =P~ We'll just have to wait and see though :D
  7. The increase of beers/tools/beeds/hats/untradeables in my bank =P~ And whenever Jagex decides to increase the bank space :D
  8. level 3 clue - 87 (the lvl I became a member at :o) dragon drop - 104 million gp - around lvl 40 (coal miner in rsc) d left half - NEVER
  9. I'd wear the cape I'm wearing right now, since no skill takes as much work as smithing imo :)
  10. RSN: Dead_Dude4 Here's my costume: A mere 99k cost for this costume (smithing cape). Everything else is pretty much free if you meet the requirements and have been playing rs for ages. Should have one of the highest time requirements in this contest so far :)
  11. How come everyone reffers to construction as a money drain? I for one am glad jagex released construction. Without it... I wouldn't get my 50% barrow repair discount. And there's the extra bank space with the new costume room (my bank is quite stuffed even though I've stuffed the costume room). The teletabs are rather usefull since you can gather more resources (hides / bones or whatever) per trip. The portals in your house are also worth it in the long term. And it's a perfect spot to have your lvl-up parties since you can control who enters the house (friends on) Sure, getting the skill up costs cash.. But it's a skill that pays off in the long term :D Farming is also rather nice for cash if you farm herbs, and it's perfect for a beer collector like me (for brewing) :P Hunting also has it's advantages. Weight reduction (my god that owns at the agility arenas) and the gloves of silence. I can finally say that I have a beer and butterfly collection in game, lol :P I'm rather sure that jagex will add some more interesting stuff to all 3 skills in the future :D
  12. I guess I'll go for 80 or so. That would bring me 18 lvl's away from 1900 total :D
  13. Err... if you are poor and can't afford the tools which cost less than 1k (if you buy em all).. sure, ppl might sell a single raw shark to train hunting o.O
  14. o.O I'm one of the lucky few who've bothered to get one but not yet finished the challange (think I have to go the champions gulid or something like that).
  15. Since I'm a lvl 109 with 1810 total and have never merchanted in my life, I'd go for skilling... Not like cash is going to do me any good anyways in such large amounts :D
  16. If you read 1000 year old Norwegain texts and compare to modern Icelandic, yes... If you read modern Norwegain and compare to modern Icelandic, nope... The norwegain, english, swedish and danish languages were originally the same "nordic" language. You guy's have changed the language over the years and "simplified" the language (and been effected by latin and french among other things). You (english) can't understand norwegains now even though the language has only changed over a thousand years. It's the same for Iceland, since Iceland is a island and hasn't been effected by other languages and therefor hasn't changed much over the past 1000 years (which is about as long as the country has excisted). Iceland was mostly populated by norwegains (mostly males) and the irish (mostly females) and since there were more norwegains, their language became our language (so... Icelandic is 1000 year old english in a way :P). While I could say "hann ÃÆÃâÃâá bÃÆÃâÃâók" in 3 diffrent ways "ÃÆÃâÃâá hann bÃÆÃâÃâók?" "bÃÆÃâÃâók ÃÆÃâÃâá hann", in english there would only be 2 ways to do this "he owns a book" "does he own a book?". Anyways... it's like this in all Icelandic sentenses. I can decide how I want to order my words and it would either form a question or a sentense while in english and the other nordic languages, there's only one specific word order. We also have forms for each word, so I could say "gefa" in 30+ diffrent ways (give..) depending on time, sex (male, female or neither), form of the word (like if you are reffering to something or it's your item) and other stuff (gefa, gaf, gÃÆÃâÃâáfum, gefiÃÆÃâÃâð.... all the same word in diffrent forms). I could go on and on and on about the diffrences on the languages, but I won't bother writing much more (I'm in class atm :P).
  17. Just like you said, coding requires barely any english knowledge at all. Learn the functions and how to use them and you'll be pretty much ready to go. I don't understand why you don't trust him because of faulty english though :S He could be from a completely diffrent continent for all we know... Learning english is hard when the language is totally diffrent than your own (I'm Icelandic... took me a while to learn english mainly because the word order is totally diffrent and you can't put words in a sentense in any order... it must be a specific order). At school, when I'm studying PhP (yes... I know it's a easy-to-use scripting language) we aren't tought any english at all, just what the functions do, how to make them and how to use them.
  18. best drops: 1 kq head 1 kbd head 4 mud-staffs 1 d-legs 1 d-med
  19. Haven't bothered reading all the replies, but I'd like to post the amounts I needed for each item (more data for whoever is studying this). The kq head I got on my 3rd actual kill (wen't on more trips, but on the 3rd kill that was mine, I got it). The kbd head I got on my 26th kill. And the Big Shark I got after about 5k sharks. Still working on the other types of fish :-w
  20. My version of the headless horseman :P
  21. it doesnt instantly do every single amulet with one click, it does an animation for each one, with only one click And I'm pretty sure that no man on earth can do 720 inventorys of ammies without spending a second on banking at all :-s
  22. No skill pures can ever finish all quests and get the quest cape (merely because many quests need at least some combat skills). Skill capes... now that's another story :P Anyways, I've never seen anyone below lvl 80 with a quest cape (I personally don't have one either, although I have 3 skill capes).
  23. bought yews at 300 each when they where 350 each... no buyers... waited some time yews where below 275 each... rune ores doesnt run away or drop many... they wont go below 10k each cuz meds alch for 11,6k (1,6k = coal) The highest alch value per rune bar is 12,8k (Rune Legs) As a 99 smith you can make some cash off buying the ores as high as 12k ea since you could sell full sets or other random rune junk (although I prefer alching & using the blast furnace + kingdom for coals)
  24. Make that 5... you can make home teleport tablets to tele you home & use the glory at the wall there... Not like you'll miss a tele-table or two if you get killed anyways :-k
  25. The last holiday "drop" was 2003 when the scythe was dropped... ever since then they've had holiday "events" where some npc handed out the holiday items. Anyways, my guess is some sort of robes/clothes this year. They've already added way to many hats and junk lately anyways.
