  1. I don't see what the big fuss is about... I'll gladly pay triple the price for essence, yews, iron ores (or whatever autoers get to make money) to get rid of the autoers! The only ppl who would be against thease updates are the dang merchants who are flooding the market with pointless trades. Oh, they'll loose millions because of updates? Oh, it's alot harder to get things in bulk? Pixels are more important than getting rid of cheaters? It's almost like merchants thrive on autoers  Both are a pest in rs imo
  2. They do work if you use the spec on the centre door :)
  3. skill noob is what I get most of the time :) So I just yell "cb noob" back at em :P
  4. Guess I'll give this a try :) 1 - 73.908.323 total xp 2 - 19.766.706 combat xp 3 - 0,267449 about 26,7% 1 - 1657 total lvl's 2 - 571 (range, hp, def, att, str, prayer and mage lvl's) 3 - 0,344599 about 34,5% 1 - 1657 total lvl 2 - 104 cb lvl 3 - 15.93 total levels per combat lvl Pretty nice for my cb lvl I guess :) Would be better if I hadn't alched all those bows to 89 mage (xp wise) :(
  5. Like stolen out of my mouth  Anyways, I myself have been hacked 3 times already and can't really do anything else than blame myself for inviting my friends over and not watching them well enough... Been hacked x-mas '02, '03 and '04... Never the same person, but always a keylogger that was installed manually in my house on my comp :( Such a waste since none of the hackers are still playing... Hacking is such a waste since you'd get rich fast and really have nothing left to do in rs but lvl skillz which would get rather boring if you got everything you've ever wanted and don't have to work for it.
  6. I myself am fron Iceland and I regularly speak english with my Icelandic friends merely because of the censor(spelling?). RS dosent support the Icelandic letters either, so there isn't much I can write in Icelandic anyways. DOWN WITH THE USELESS CENSOR :!:
  7. I've been scammed by my friends from the day I came to lumby. Started out with a full bronze set at 10k (which I worked hard for mining coal) After countless item scams they moved into hacking me by visiting my house and inserting a keylogger while I was preparing some food... Talk about friends  Only lost 10m, but hey... when your best friends start stealing from you, you don't exactly trust them anymore :!:
  8. You can never be 100% sure if a player is macroing though... I never bother reporting ppl that "look" suspicious since there could always be a simple reason for not getting a reply from the person (like public chat off). I do agree though... Knowing that someone scams / cheats / macros for a living and not bother reporting those kind of ppl is sort of like you yourself are cheating (since you are helping the cheater get a away). * Guess I'll vote for something as simple as apples (since I wouldn't know the english words for any other vegetables anyways) :D
  9. Ironic... Not everyone who use this forum are english/american and therefor aren't perfect at spelling  I myself blow at english grammar
  10. 2 sets? lol? You do know that you only recieve 500 gp each time you get a mime and have every part of the set/emotions
  11. Joy, a skill that has the potential to help two other semi-useless ones and adds little/nothing to the game in and of itself. Rather than renaming it, just delete it. Have Jagex actually think out a skill for more than 30 minutes before releasing it. So those millions I've gained of thiveing seeds, farming the herbs and selling the pots made are just my imagination? Weird huh  This skill is not useless. Makes it alot easier to get stuff for herblore, which is a pretty hard skill to train without buying the herbs :) And if herblore is useless.... where'd you get your pots for training?
  12. Then ppl would smith their own axes since you do get a handle on the axe head you smith automatically
  13. Just watch a movie or a episode while high alching... You alch at almost the same speed if you have the sounds on and know when to click even if you aren't really paying attention to the game screen itself (although you do need to keep the media player on top of other windows and have it small to be able to click on the game screen) :) Randoms won't get you since you can hear when they attack and can easily run from em. At least that's how I handle boring but simple tasks. Even watch episodes while killing greens in wildy :D *back on topic* I agree with most of you guys... This is actually a good update to prevent autoers & make space for the duelers themselves inside the arena. Pretty pointless to alch in there imo.
  14. killing them won't solve the problem... They'll still wander the earth asking for "ph12ee st0ff pl0x!!1!". Just tell them that you don't got any and they'll leave you eventually.
  15. Your logic only stands if you ignore the fact that mining and smithing are mutually exclusive, and the fact that there is indeed a worth to goods in your inventory other than gold. The iron and coal ore that you mine increases your net worth as you bank it, since it immediately becomes an item with some resale value. When you stop mining, it's net value then adds your inventory's total value, and the amount of money (not just gold, but total tangible assets) that you have. Smelting generally increases this net worth. When you turn around and smith, however, you are spending some of your newly acquired assets. Your net worth DECREASES THROUGH SMITHING, (unless you're doing CBalls, which are boring and horrible), as the gold yielded via high-alching is far less than you could have earned had you sold the ores or bars. The difference between your net value before and after smithing translates into the DIRECT COST TO YOU that you are paying in exchange for smithing experience. So in other words, NO, this type of smithing is by no means "pure profit". This economics lesson has been brought to you by Stormveritas As a 90 smither I must say that you are wrong. Smithing bars can be profitable as soon as you hit lvl 22 You can double your profits by smithing iron knives if you bought the ores and then smelthed them into bars -.- Iron Knives sell for 40 - 45gp each, you get 5 knives per bar, you spend 107gp on per bar (with ring of forging) and you'll get 200 - 220 back per bar in the end. That's 93 - 113gp profit per ore which is double the amount you spent it on in the first place. I know the bars are worth 200gp each, but then again, you don't loose anything smithing the bars! You can even make a small profit! All you do is waste more time on smithing and get alot more smithing xp than you would have if you had just sold the bars!
  16. Nice guide :) I myself use the furnace a bit for iron smelthing, since it's alot faster than regular smelthing and selling and buying the ores from the shop costs almost the same as buying rings of forging :D Don't need a team to keep the furnace working, but it's faster with a team :)
  17. sooo... you are telling us that you started with 1,9m and won more than 200m and then lost it all to a single guy in multiple stakes knowing that he was cheating? Why did you duel someone you knew were cheating?! Besides.. if you use the cash right you can basically buy a few 99 skills with that amount of cash and you wasted it on a "sure to loose" duel
  18. 20. I think you are forgetting about a certain ammy that gives 15% attack and str bonuses vs the undead  *edit* that's basically free str and att pots
  21. Wouldn't you become a prayer noob if you used prayer to prevent others from using prayer? lol Not at all, a Pray-Noob is smeone who uses Melee/Magic/Ranged Protect when they are losing a battle, Therefore, The use of this prayer to PREVENT such an occurence would not make me or anyone else doing it, a Pray noob. Prayer was added to this game for a reason... I personally don't see anything wrong with protecting your belongings out in wildy. I use prayer alot (specially while training agility since pkers find it fun to "own" people that aren't out there to kill nor have armour or weapons on :? ). Praying is not "nooby"! I bet you've used prayer alot as well
