  1. Uhh... When did Cosmic Runes come into this?!?!? We're talking about Chaos Runes, for which the altar entrance is placed in the lower-level areas of the Wilderness. :? ~D. V. "What the heck?" Devnull
  2. Ask everyone else about this, please. I already support getting the Chaos RC altar, along with the Law RC altar. And I even accept the caveats with both of the RC Altars. So you have the idea, my initial post to this thread was primarily meant to make clear the pros/cons clear to everyone else. I had never intended to cause any thread derailment. Anyway, as for Nature RC'ing, that's just simply beyond our grasp, but I wish it wasn't. (That's why the vote marker from me is on 'Maybe' instead of 'Yes' on the poll up top.) :geek: ~Mr. D. V. "Indeed, and then some." Devnull
  3. That's good to know. I was starting to get worried. Oh, [bleep]... I see exactly why that would be handy, as it would avoid dead links most of the time. Although, wouldn't that potentially require coordination with Jagex, in order to avoid accidental hogging of bandwidth? :ohnoes: Ah well, I'll give up on poking further for now, and I'll definitely look forward to seeing that additional piece of the feature come into being. But I'll definitely be back at the end of the month to check in on what's going on with the QFC Tag stuff. Until then, I'll see you all in-game and/or in other threads. :-s ~Mr. D. V. "I'm buzzing off for now, but I'll be hoping for the best." Devnull
  4. Meh... I could live without the shortcut for the Chaos RC Altar. Learning the maze would be fun anyway. Having the Chaos RC Altar, even in the least of its' forms, is better than nothing. Having better than nothing, and the ability to RC Chaos Runes, is what we need. :shades: ~D. V. "We F2P can live without the shortcut, and not feel tormented." Devnull
  5. Any chance you wouldn't mind telling us what this extra feature was that you were aiming for? Also, any chance it might be something like a "Page Targeting System"? Or is that already possible? ~D. V. "Now you've got me confused and curious!" Devnull (p.s.: BTW, where did Peter disappear to?)
  6. I'm not trying to patronize anyone, damnit! I'm just seeing posts that are causing an obvious need of this getting done, and therefore trying to make the push to get it done before it stacks into a nastier molehill. That, and the lack of a button for the QFC Tag is making things a bit clunky, which is probably leading to some of this mess. ~D. V. "Now do you get where I'm coming from?" Devnull
  7. Hi again... Sorry for the almost-a-month-later resurfacing, but I think I just saw a reason to move it up in the list of priorities. Just have a look at the "200,000 Members!" thread which you started. We've already got people causing others issues by not "QFC Tagging" the RSOF QFCs, so they don't get turned into the useful links that they're really meant to be. And there's already many previous occurrences, which I just don't have the time (after 11:30 PM PDT, GMT-8 here) to go find right now. :( ~D. V. "Yet another reason stacking up..." Devnull (p.s.: BTW, the handling for the "topic" tag is also a bit clunky. IMHO, titles should be allowed in the syntax of the identifier that it handles.)
  8. Hi there... While I haven't used the blog system, it sounds on the surface to me like someone put an anchor tag in the wrong place and/or mis-wired it. Honestly, I hope it isn't something that's so deep that it requires fixing by IPB themselves. :uhh: ~D. V. "I'm glad this landmine didn't find me!" Devnull
  9. *sneak* *sneak* *peek* *spring*

    Ha ha... Hi there! =)

  10. EDIT: Just checked in-game. It's taken. :( What about a variant, such as "DragonsBeard"? ~D. V. "If you don't get your first choice, try a variant?" Devnull
  11. I'll be looking forward to that. :shades: That reminds me... <*goes off to hunt down a thread and resurface it...*> ~D. V. "Hmmm... the thoughts..." Devnull
  12. Hi, Dragonbeard... Welcome to Tip.It Forums! :) I should add the note that if you ignore someone, you can also see there what their previous name was for about 30 days, after which the old display name is no longer visible. It works on both sides of the fence, annoyingly enough. (Although for me, it helps with not unignoring some idiots from years in my past.) :geek: ~D. V. "Works for both, not just one or the other..." Devnull (p.s.: LOL, Obtaurian beat me to it...)
  13. Just in case you didn't know, they made the Lum River Canoe Network available to F2P within the last few months. It has been a great help to my moving around RuneScape. However, having the Canoe sink after every single trip (and therefore having to spend the time to make a new one every time -- sure, we get exp for making another, but sometimes spending that time can be a nuisance) instead of being able to make paddles to enhance it and/or instead of being able to pick it up and take it with me has been a real pain sometimes. Put simply, adding these things regarding the Canoe would allow players the minor choices between spending time and just being able to move fast. The paddles came to mind as a partial after-thought, sort of as something to give the Canoe a chance of not sinking so that the player could then choose to pick it up. (Also, I figured the thing about paddles could also satisfy Jagex's concerns about game balance, just in-case the exp loss wasn't enough.) :geek: No, I don't think something like this would be too much at all. As I understand it, they already do animations for things like the Mine Carts. Further, I've already seen them do stuff with the (now non-existent) GnomeCopters, as well as things like Slippery Ice and some elements of Random Events. So I think it would not be that hard for Jagex to switch from a very lame moving-icon-on-a-map transition to an actual animation of travel with the player character and a Canoe. That, and I'm sure I saw something at some point which depicted an actual travel animation, but I can't remember where I saw it. :-k Yeah, I was the one who suggested about the Blurite. You'll also notice I do a good job of bullet-pointing my lists. ;) So far, so good... Maybe one or two more things from my list I would have made a definite to aim at Jagex, but I understand we're trying to keep this list to the miscellaneous stuff. (Personally, I would love to hammer them for every single mistake they've made since I began playing RuneScape, but that's just me!) :shades: ~D. V. "And there's my thoughts regarding the Canoes..." Devnull (p.s.: Sorry for the insane wall of text!)
  14. How about... Enable the ability to pick up your Canoe and carry it with you. Enable the ability to watch as your character travels in a Canoe. Enable the ability to make paddles to help your Canoe not sink when it reaches the other end. Make all chairs in the RuneScape OverWorld that don't have NPC's already on them into Locations where people can sit. ...which would all be awesome things to have in RuneScape? ~D. V. "Just a few more thoughts..." Devnull
  15. Anime. ...and since you left this one to happen... EARTHQUAKE! ~D. V. "Shakey, shakey..." Devnull
  16. *facewall* :wall: ~D. V. "I thought I ruined the moment, but no... you two did!" Devnull
  17. Providing this doesn't include any bots or banned people that should never have been counted, then....... AWESOME!!! I'm surprised Tip.It was able to get this large finally. Nice job! :shades: Now, I hate to ruin the moment... But, when are you going to put a news posting up on the main website about it?!?!? ~D. V. "Cool, but..." Devnull
  18. Air filter. :P Nuclear Reactor. ~D. V. "Don't ask why I picked this..." Devnull
  19. Unluckily, now you need to get Tripsis, Peter, and/or another Admin to go fix that Poll that's also a Global Announcement. Right now, things are way off of their true context, and that's totally screwed up what was in need of handling here. :ohnoes: BTW, this is why it's bad for gamers to get drunk. Put simply, [bleep] happens. <_< ~Mr. D. V. "Whoops, much?" Devnull
  20. Usually people wear skillcapes because they give better bonuses and just plain look better. Oh, don't worry folks. ;) ... You'll most definitely find me wearing that Team-39 cape on F2P worlds. :shades: ... Well, if you can find me, seeing as I have this way (Damnit!) of unintentionally dodging everyone. ... Strangely though, if I want to find someone, they won't dodge me because I somehow ninja in on them. Until I see you... HYT! HYT! HYT! ~D. V. "Knowing my luck, we'll accidentally collide. LOL" Devnull
  21. <*Continues the chant...*> We need a Sub-Forum! We need a Sub-Forum! We need a Sub-Forum! We need a Sub-Forum! We need a Sub-Forum! And you'd be right in thinking that such doesn't work that well here. <*points back at their own reasoning on making a Sub-Forum for this stuff*> And there's why. :ugeek: (Off-Topic: Das, when/why did you decide to stop being an Admin? :-s ...) ~D. V. "I told you all that a Sub-Forum was the best idea..." Devnull
  22. You're doing it wrong. :-w You can thank Jagex and their excluding F2P from the Veteran Cape for that. Been having trouble getting myself to log onto RuneScape currently. I'll probably be on in the near future, but definitely not before I've exhausted my brain on Funorb.com's "Steel Sentinels" game. -.- Ohhhhhh yeah. ~D. V. "And they wonder why they can't find me... Sorry, LOL..." Devnull
  23. Sadness. (Freaking economy!) :( (Off-topic: I hate Seinfeld... bad avatar choice, dude.) Since I'm now feeling it, the next word is: RAGE! ~D. V. "Grrrrrrr..." Devnull
  24. Several bad guys, pwned and unconscious. Next word(s): Veteran Cape ~D. V. "I sense some serious rage coming on..." Devnull
  25. Guydabest, I just noticed that the PSU is only 500W... There is a small chance that it is too small for the Graphics Card, combined with everything else in the system. You might wish to upgrade that to at least a 700W, if not bigger, which would get around any freezing caused by lack of power. :? Which reminds me, is this computer you're trying to fix currently protected by a UPS? ~D. V. "That PSU looks too small to me..." Devnull
