  1. Go to w16, and have them ready on hand to sell... You'll want 20 un-noted and the rest noted... Un-note more as needed while selling. Yell out that you're selling them for 400 gp ea. You'll make tons of gp. That's how I took care of that problem when I had it. :) (Although, I had less tiaras to sell. :P ... And BTW, the G.E. sucks for this kind of thing. -.- ...) ~D. V. "May your gp just roll in..." Devnull
  2. On the RS home page, go to "Help > Locked Account Recovery" in the menus up top, and you should be able to track the account recovery from there. Let us know if that doesn't work, okay? : ~D. V. "Try that..." Devnull
  3. No, they are not out yet. =; They'll be coming with something, that's for sure. They're supposed to appear near the end of this month. :!: As they are not out, this question is not valid. ~D. V. "See you then......." Devnull
  4. If you completed the needed quest, then that is correct, long as you've changed your respawn point. :) By speaking to the appropriate npc for the quest that unlocked the given respawn point. :geek: Good luck on getting that respawn point unlocked. : ~D. V. "Have a nice day." Devnull
  5. +1 to this person, they have it right. Also, I saw a screenshot recently, and it showed the corrupt items don't have special attacks. Put simply, but to some people's dismay, Jagex didn't want the melee pvp being too powerful. :ugeek: As for decay issues... It only decays while worn, never while banked or simply in your pack. :geek: I'm not even going to go into value issues. :notalk: ~D. V. "Sorry for the letdown..." Devnull
  6. Is it possible that you were near one of the respawn points for dead players? :geek: ~D. V. "Stuff happens..." Devnull
  7. Grogtholomew, were you there longer than the others? Did you happen to be carrying something really valuable in your pack? Is there a chance that you looked like a macroer to Jagex's systems? :-s If you can answer these, I might be able to figure out what happened. :geek: ~D. V. "There has to be a logical explanation here..." Devnull
  8. 11,294 I wonder where everyone is............. :uhh: ~D. V. "Where did they go?" Devnull
  9. Water? Supercool? For what purpose? :-s 11,296 ~D. V. "Now I'm curious..." Devnull
  10. Seeing that made me laugh. That's what gero204 already picked. Now they're looking for an emote to use as a sign of affiliation. :ugeek: ~D. V. "Any suggestions?" Devnull
  11. May I suggest you all fly a Dragon Kite (The one at Diango's shop...) as your symbol? ~D. V. "There's one option..." Devnull (p.s.: No offense intended, BTW, as I just realized the accidental inferences/puns behind it. #-o ...)
  12. Sadly, it is... I totally missed hearing about it. :( ~D. V. "Darn..." Devnull
  13. gero204, I will second what basiliko said. There is a basement room that you can use, which houses Count Draynor's coffin. And as far as I know, Count Draynor won't appear unless the quest is incomplete for a user, and he's been disturbed. 8-) ~D. V. "Take a look, I think you'll like it." Devnull
  14. Adius, if you haven't been runecrafting, you should... And as for paying through the nose, it will be far cheaper to mine your own rune essence (Do make sure you complete 'Rune Mysteries', as that quest is critical to all good mages.) and craft runes as much as you can. Always train that skill in such a manner that you can then use what you get on Magic, and therefore train as a mage, nearly without end... Make your runes in the following layouts: 3 fire runes and 2 air runes, for every mind rune 8 water runes and 7 water runes, for every 3 body runes Further, if you have a staff of any rune type, and you will be using that staff in battle, then you won't need to craft the type of rune that the staff replaces. Also, if you don't have 20 runecrafting minimum, make it an immediate target. (Personally, I'd make 50 a minimum target... The time spent out of the loop has its' rewards.) You will be very glad that you did. : Also, if you're wondering what to do for Chaos/Death/Nature/Law/Cosmic runes, you can rack up semi-easy money for those by mining, smithing, and selling armor/weapons... This is actually how I fund a lot of the runes I needed to buy both earlier on and now. :) BTW, keep your eyes open for my appearing in Evil_Mumm_Ra's chat on RuneScape. I keep popping in there every so often, and I'd be glad to talk with you over in my own channel about your expanding as a mage. (Notice my mage level... 100% F2P-trained... I really like that skill.) 8-) One last thing... Anyone telling you to play F.o.G., didn't tell you something: It won't help your Rune counts in your bank at all. It is better to train Magic out in the main RS world, and RuneCraft, because you'll actually get to have building stocks of runes in your bank. :geek: ~D. V. "Enemies falling by Magic... Just how I like it." Devnull
  15. Personally, I would recommend to a user that making 256 MB of RAM for a JRE would be an absolute maximum limit (If they have the room to even support that, anyone with less than 1GB of RAM should never allocate that much... Maybe 128-192 MB at max for them, if they have the room for that) in their settings, even if they have the room to support allocating more space to it... Any more than that should be a sign that the applet which a person is running inside of their browser is probably in need of serious cleanup. :| watuphomi, I notice you are saying to use "-Xmx###M"... ("###", again, being a number.) ... TBH, I'd recommend "-Xmx######K" as it allows far finer control of RAM allocation and usage. Not to be overly nitpicky, but sometimes the equivalent of a needle-nose pair of pliers is better than the equivalent of a sledgehammer. :geek: ... Yes, I'll admit that sometimes simplicity is good, but there are times where being too simple can cause a bad situation. ;) ~D. V. "Too much RAM locked up for something = bad." Devnull
  16. [EDIT: If the opening poster is no longer watching this thread, don't mind this post. I didn't realize this thread was about 2 days old. #-o ...] pitac83, are you sure you're using Vista's built-in firewall, or is it possible you're using something that came with your AntiVirus? Or even more crazy, something that someone else helped you out by putting in and then left in a basic state, like ZoneAlarm, Comodo, Outpost, or one of several others that you may not recognize? :-s There's one way we can be certain what firewall you're running. (TBH, I'm surprised this wasn't asked before now.) Could you please show us a screenshot of all the icons (including hidden ones) in that nifty tray in the bottom right corner of your windows desktop? :geek: Thanks in advance. : ~D. V. "Always good to make sure..." Devnull
  17. Cool down, Ginger... I've thought ahead... Read on to understand.......................... Are you sure? It might just be that too many are too scared for one reason or another to speak up, therefore leaving you to believe they are content when they aren't... Have you noticed how only about a microfraction sampling of TIF users (and even at that, most of the heavier regulars) ever drops into a given thread in 'Forum U&S' to discuss these things? :-s Ginger, did I say that this should happen immediately? NO. In fact, I quite intended that, IF this suggestion thread's best (and therefore most agreed) options was accepted by the Admins, and they did say they would put them in, that it would only occur when the Admins were totally stuck at a stand-still (due only to the tasks themselves, and NOT 'irl issues'...) on everything else, and therefore wanted something easy to do. Would it really waste more time than it takes/merits? It is as simple as uploading the data, bringing it into phpBB3's view of available emotes, and tapping in a few easy 'text codes' for how to call them. Again, this would only be done in their spare 'spare' time, and no more than that. And if they didn't get that time for a while, I'd understand very perfectly. For that matter, this thread I started is only still in the suggestion/compilation stages anyway, and is going to ultimately leave understanding inherently as to how much of a process that the Tip.It Staff themselves has to go to for something to come out as good as it does, as well as the quality they require before they will do it and it happens. :geek: ~D. V. "I'm not going to mind if I wait a while before it could happen." Devnull (p.s.: I'm an optimist at heart... It has a way of overriding my pessimism.)
  18. Alright... I don't think I've seen something break quite like this, though. So, we're going to need some help from others in the T&C forum at this point, as even my own know-how and thinking capability hits its' limits... :-k ... That is, unless I manage to find something. ;) (OT: Where is everyone else who's posted in this thread, when I just happen to need them dropping in?) ~D. V. "What a conundrum..." Devnull
  19. 11,298 Still 297 away from a milestone... LET'S GET A MOVE ON HERE!!! ~D. V. "Must... reach... milestone!!!" Devnull
  20. One of the core reasons I started this thread was the thought of adding something fresh to Tip.It Forums' current répertoire, as opposed to forcing people to fend for themselves. Sure, there are sets out there, but wouldn't it be better to make them open to everyone through BBCode items, than to make every single person have to dig for it seperately? Also, wouldn't it be better to have the community's influence (even if they are picks from other's creations that aren't part of a set) showing in them, than to leave it to being something out of a stock bucket? : ~D. V. "Think fresh... Think different..." Devnull (p.s.: I'm a PC user, not a Mac user! Never shall Apple get a hold of me!)
  21. Agreed. (LOL! ...) Although, where did Google's brains go walking off to? Maybe I wouldn't want them catching up with me? :? ~D. V. "Freaky..." Devnull
  22. Awful, to be honest. I'll second what dsavi said, and point to my last post in this thread for further reasoning. :ugeek: ~D. V. "Add, not overwrite..." Devnull
  23. Okay, have you turned off Vista's "System Restore Monitor" for the Drive Letter where it sees WinXP? And have you told WinXP to not monitor Vista's home partition? Just a hunch, but that may be what's causing your problems. :anxious: ... I would get a confirm from someone else who is monitoring this thread before changing the settings on those, however. :| Although, wait... Are you heading near Vista at any time during this process? :? ~D. V. "Your OSes fighting each other would be not good." Devnull
  24. ... which was caught by Tip.It's forum software. Can you elaborate on what the filter blocked? :?: it's tortoise SVN, i had to use it to do something with garrys mod, don't know for sure what it was.. i deleted it now Linked to stuff in Garry's Mod, eh? I wonder why TIF's filter is blocking, then. :o Alright, since I'm sure that wasn't causing your youtube problems... Have you tried (after backing up your computer) reinstalling Flash? At best, all I can figure is that something deep-sixed part of the browser plugin, and that's why it isn't behaving. :-k Last O-T Note: It wasn't me who triggered it, or the admin here... We'd heard about it from a 3rd-party source. (Any which way, I'm not gonna challenge the admin, because I'd end up disappearing from the web if I did.) Just thought I should get that straight. ;) ~D. V. "Straight facts count." Devnull
  25. Uhhhhh... what do you mean only 50 spaces? Gravitymasta, we currently have a 68-space limit in the F2P'ers banks. So we'd have 80 spaces, if 12 more were added. Please double-check your math? :-s BTW, again, we'll need to wait... We got some at like the start of this year, due to what happened in December of 2007... Don't ask me about those events, however, as I don't like to talk about those. :| ~D. V. "Your numbers need work... Ancient events prohibit for now." Devnull
