  1. Annoying? Far from it! I've used laptops without a middle button, or for that matter any form of mouse gesturing, and the right click is absolutely no hassle to me at all! In fact, I welcome the right-click of mice and touchpads, because of that nifty context-sensitive menu that always pops up to greet me and allow me as a user to make choices based on what I need and/or want. To be very honest, if I didn't have the middle-click, it wouldn't kill me. It would only be if the right-click disappeared that I would get a bit cranky. Then again, I can just kill any "right-click killer" scripts thrown at me. (Gotta love those FireFox Options! ...) You'd have to make it so I didn't have a physical right-click to get on my nerves that badly... : Sure, if we can all agree on how to add to the UCP of the forum, then we could have an option to force links into a new window. (Unluckily, forcing to a new tab is not possible, unless you're combining with your browser options.) Wouldn't be an option I'd need/use, and I'd have it turned off, but at least it would be there. However, I will be forever '100% against' any forced changes on all users in regard to this manner. :ugeek: ~D. V. "I like directing browser content to the tab I need/want..." Devnull
  2. right click-->open in new tab/open in new window. Jimmyw3000 has a point there. Unless the browser is some super-messed-up 'p.o.s.', then there is always that right-click option. ;) Heck, those who are not educated about PCs/Browsers/etc. really need to learn already. :? ~D. V. "He's got ya there..." Devnull
  3. Ditto Me three. Just middle-click. Fourthed. : Fifth'd... I'd rather have it open in another tab/window automatically, makes it easier for me to continue viewing my page while loading another. Then just use that nifty middle button you have. Don't go trying to force this idealism on others. It really is not that hard to use that middle button. Heck, I use tabbing like crazy while logged onto Tip.It Forums. :) ~Mr. D. V. "Tabs via middle button = way of the future." Devnull
  4. On that note, dsavi_x4, if a person is trying to organize their small "lead team", then Mass PM'ing is more appropriate as it allows communication between that small niche. Trying to do that in places that Ginger_Warrior mentioned is just downright unwieldy, because there are things that have to be talked over that the public should not see. :geek: ~Mr. "There is a reason for private multi-person stuff." Devnull
  5. LOL  ... No worries, man. I really should have remembered that you don't use two capitals. :P 11,172 ~D. V. "Whoops." Devnull
  6. We also need the ability to quick-respond to the "Where are you?" Question in the "Group Events > Organising" part of the Quick Chat Interface... Also, as equally, we need the ability to just manually say where we are at. Why Jagex didn't think of this in the first place is puzzling... Maybe they got stuck on trying to compose the list of location names? :-k ~Mr. "Hard to say my location on a QC world without a proper command." Devnull
  7. Might wanna update your profile then. <*points to the left side of the page and just above his own mini-profile...*> :P And good luck to you. I'll be watching, and dropping in on that CC every one time in a while... 8-) ~Mr. "Took me a few, but I found your RS blog... lol..." Devnull
  8. I'm not surprised you thought of that, given your signature at the time of this post. (Nice siggy image, BTW...) However, that's a darn good idea to add. So I will support adding that to the list of stuff in this idea thread. ~Mr. "Good expansion!" Devnull
  9. One last off-side post... I hope this is the end of this, since I'm sick of this argument... Meh... My siggy is already more-or-less tapped out for space... Further, I can not put any dynamic text in there without using a bloated, ugly image... That would totally blow the usability of them... Get a load of the code generating my current sig sometime, okay? : ... Also, you'll notice each one of my final thoughts is individualized to go with the post I typed. Those things you see on the RSOF are quite the opposite. -.- ... And one last thing... You don't have to read those thoughts I'm leaving there if you don't want. They're not mandatory that they be read... Heck, I crack a good joke every one time in a while... ~Mr. "Gee Whizzzzzzzzzzzzzz... Please don't make me crazy..." Devnull
  10. Okay, this may be off-topic, but it has to be answered... First off, I didn't know those idiots on the RSOF were doing that. Second off, I saw some collegiate kids doing this in their e-mails when I saw it on the PC's screen while another of my family was doing something. Finally, there are other users on this forum that like it, so it seriously does you no good to be going around ridiculing me. :shame: Now, as for that thought-in-name, I've been doing it as a "Here's the noob's version of my post... If you're too [bleep] lazy, read that and miss half the point." ... This leaves you more of a lack of reason to ridicule me, because you can use that to your advantage in finding out who actually read my post and who didn't. :ugeek: Oh, and have a nice day, now that you've used up 2 posts (yours and mine) in this thread over this matter. :x ~Mr. D. V. "It's there for a reason, dangit!" Devnull
  11. If it is, then it is an awfully poor way of doing it. It is like giving a small child a toy that requires batteries, but without the batteries installed, which means none of the items function. TBH, any parent that sees such a thing would not want to let their child go P2P... Why? Because they would be thinking "If this is broken, then what else is? Why would I want to pay good money for something that doesn't fully work?", and would therefore try to find a way to get their child off onto something totally else. And heck, imagine an adult coming to RuneScape, only to experience this kind of thing before ever thinking of wanting to go P2P... Talk about a quick way to drive them away. ~D. V. "It can't be broke, if it is to be used to attract for better stuff..." Devnull
  12. Heh. I already suggested that kind of stuff. :P ~Mr. "Beat ya to it." Devnull
  13. Ghoulmeister, merchanting has been dead since 'December 10, 2007' due to the existence of the Grand Exchange. If you wish to make money at this point, train magic and go skilling. (That's how I'm making my money nowadays.) :geek: ~D. V. "Skill to gain..." Devnull
  14. 11,198 Nice full house, MirrorForced... I'll have to try and get another one. ~Mr. "I envy thee." Devnull
  15. 11,200 YES! New Page, and right on a "100 mark" point... Let's keep this rolling, folks! We're only 200 away from the "1000 mark" point... ~Mr. D. V. "Rolling, rolling, and rolling some more..." Devnull
  16. I wasn't talking about aliens, dangit. As far as I know, they're not real. :wall: 11,206 ~D. V. "What a misinterpretation..." Devnull
  17. SportsGuy, I don't think that Jagex would be stupid enough to prevent you from leveling in F2P at this point on an F2P skill... If they really want returning members and re-subscribers, then you'll be able to level F2P skills during times when you can't be a P2P'er... :ugeek: ~Mr. "It shouldn't block you leveling F2P skills in F2P..." Devnull
  18. I'll have to go take a look in F2P... I wonder if it is happening here... That's one peculiar glitch. ~D. V. "I gotta see this..." Devnull
  19. Agreed. Merchanting was ruined by the G.E. forever, period. Even with a 10K (40 QP, although I have 41) trade buffer, trying to profit at pre-G.E. street prices is near impossible nowadays. :wall: ~Mr. "Merchanting = no longer an option." Devnull
  20. 11,208 Glad to see we're not alone. : ~D. V. "Party > 'Room with few people'..." Devnull
  21. In general, I support this idea... While F2P wouldn't see very much of it, it would create the ability for Jagex to have like special boosts/restores attached to doing food in certain manners... Obviously, they might release some minor ones for mage/range to F2P to balance things up versus melee opponents, what with the fact that Melee can hit just so [bleep] much... Even further, it could open up new herblore options for P2P... ~Mr. "Here's to another good idea that should happen..." Devnull
  22. 11,215 Am I scaring everyone off or something? Or is everyone just having a lot of IRL trouble? :uhh: ~D. V. "Uhh..." Devnull
  23. Ray, first off, Congrats on starting a blog. \ As for constructive criticism/opinions/thoughts, I suggest that you try doing the P2P version of "Great Orb Project" for a bit of that climb from 52 to 55 RuneCrafting... In my opinion, you'll like the nifty intake of runes that you get, as well as the rather nice F2P-usable Magic Armor... And then there's the ever-famous Omni-Talisman, if you don't have that already... Plus, that minigame provides Double RC Experience at the RC'ing altars, which would provide a near-unparalleled boost to the rate at which you're leveling up. BTW, I'll be tracking this thread... As the anime character 'Naruto Uzumaki' said, "Believe it!"... 8-) ~Mr. "That guild has good stuff." Devnull (p.s.: I'd almost bet this thread's gonna end up with over 9000 views... ...)
  24. Actually, you're in luck. There are better ways (even though they take time) in which you can double or triple that nice gp stack you have... Patience is key in RuneScape skilling. : With 64 mining, 63 smithing, and 68 Magic, it so happens that you can make some of the nicer Mithril items, and profit from it by mining it all yourself... These items happen to high-alch for enough to endlessly fuel a high-alch spree from 'Mithril item'-making... In fact, this has been how I've boosted my own gp stack considerably... To give you an idea of how good a boost it can give, think about being able to buy 2 sets of Saradomin-Trim Runite Armor within about 4-to-6 months. That's just how totally good this option is. Good luck to you, whatever path you choose. 8-) ~D. V. "sure-fire gp-making skiller" Devnull
  25. Joey, have you tried clearing your Java Cache? (I don't mean the one in your browser. I'm talking about a seperate cache that is kept by default by Java.) It could just be that you got a bad copy of the jar files. :| Also, have you tried reinstalling Java? If not, backup your whole computer, then try that. Don't forget to reboot between uninstall/install/usage stages. It could possibly be that your Java distribution has somehow become corrupted. :geek: Worst case, you've run into a bug in the game applet that Jagex has to fix and didn't originally encounter because your configuration is outside their usual testing grounds. In which case, you're going to end up pulling teeth to file a bug report and get the exact problem fixed up. :? (If it gets to this point, I wish you good luck, because I hear that can be hell to complete.) ~D. V. "Jagex needs to do more QA testing..." Devnull
