I have no idea how many hours I've been playing, but I would really like to know... I put support on that thread that NJE03 mentioned because of it. :-s ~Mr. "Itching to know..." Devnull

Don't really know if this is a bug.
D. V. Devnull replied to Bad911's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
<*DVD blinks a few times...*> ... That is a weird bug  ... I wonder if you spam-clicked into it, or something, by accident. I'm guessing you were training one of your newbie accounts at the time? :-s ~D. V. "How could that happen?" Devnull -
No comment about the render... However, I laughed like crazy about the spider. Nice way to make use of the " :twss: " emote. ~D. V. "nice... eight legs of laughter" Devnull

Mind Altar Glitch and Bug Abuse?
D. V. Devnull replied to sees_all1's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
Go to world 61, win the air altar, and then stop trying. If the other team wins the mind altar, read the text at the end of the game - You'll have an extra win you didn't earn. I'll go check this out and confirm if it is true... BTW, is this limited to only W61? I have heard that world has trouble with the strain of constantly running the GOP stuff. :-k UPDATE @ ~45 Min. Later...: You hit it square on the head... Consider the bug as confirmed... I saw the losing version, though... I was just in a round, it was 5 to yellow and 1 tied, but it acted like I didn't even manage to tie for that single altar. :( ~D. V. "That damned bug skewed everything!!!" Devnull -
Unless my brain is messed up, aren't there a series of other screensavers to choose from? If nothing else, there's always the option for a blank screen. Further, hawkxs could also set start/stop program sounds, so they can hear what's going on, instead of having to trust a graphical item to tell them the PC is awake. (Heck, that's how I listen to a PC I'm using... Very interesting what you can hear.) :-k Hey, hawkxs, could you provide a small stack of system specs? And BTW, what is going on behind the screensaver when this happens? I use the starfield myself, and don't have these issues, even with RuneScapeHD running. :-s ~D. V. "There must be an option that works here." Devnull

Two questions: [*:1r3q43dm]Does your sister remember what she was doing before she had to help her/your parents? If "yes", what was it? [*:1r3q43dm]Is the computer a laptop or desktop? (I forgot, sorry!) Answer those, and we'll see what we can do to help. :geek: (ATM, it sounds like the video simply failed, not the hard drive.) ~Mr. D. V. "Field Triage... Always needed..." Devnull

gero204, go mine/smith and don't buy stuff to alch... The items you make can be high-alched, and will allow you to restock your nature runes, as well as gain you a huge stack of gp in the process... BTW, the item you should target is the best mithril item you can make. And in case you're curious, I use this advice myself. 8-) ~D. V. "Self-sufficiency rocks." Devnull

I think I'd prefer white/silver for F2P... Purple is too dark on that interface. :( ~D. V. "Need to be able to see it, you know." Devnull

Mind Altar Glitch and Bug Abuse?
D. V. Devnull replied to sees_all1's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
I personally don't see restoring your run meter with the "Explorer's Ring" as being any kind of bug... In fact, it can lend to multi-round strategies, the likes of which would boggle the mind. Just when your opponent thinks they're going to be able to waste you, it's like *BLAM* in their face, forcing them to earn that win which they thought they would just have on a silver platter. If anything, Jagex has set up the perfect revenge against "bully/jerk"-type players. \ And BTW, what are you talking about, because I have never seen players getting altars for free. Every time I have played, the rounds always tally fairly, based on what happened in the round. Sure, the server is having to catch lag issues, but other than that, everything is dead-on. :geek: ~Mr. D. V. "Legal Revenge = Sweetness" Devnull -
cocacolabottle, I would assume that, since you are on Vista, that you are also running an NTFS drive partition, correct? I therefore have to ask, did you set up proper permissions on a cache folder (BTW, the folder should be named ".jagex_cache_32", not "rscache", and should be located at the base level of your drive, or in the windows folder, strangely enough...) that Jagex needs to be able to run the signed applet, such that even a limited user has 100% access, but only within the scope of that folder? If you did not, then this might be causing your problems. :? (If you've already done this, then you have my sincerest apologies for having only been a mere annoyance. :( ...) ~D. V. CountDown From 15K - COUNTDOWN FINISHED!!!!

10,979 I just realized something... Isn't there a rule on these forums about requiring english translations of everything you're saying in another language??? I would be very surprised if it was not the case for this forum area. <*Waits while everyone goes to fix their posts from earlier.*> ~D. V. "I knew something was fishy here, and it wasn't me." Devnull -
<*facepalms*> DarkDude, this one wouldn't be for something that's spam... In fact, if you have a look at the "CountDown From 15K" thread in the last three pages or so, you may see that there is valid use for such an emote, and not just simply for Forum Games. ;) Imagine for a moment... You post something in an area other than the Forum Games one, and someone totally misinterprets you. Well, you look at that post above you, and you can tell it is not spam, but you're having that 'facepalm'-style reaction to it. This is where that emote would come in handy, as you could convey your thoughts much more clearly than you could with something like the "D'oh!" emote... An emote, that in my opinion, is really meant for times when someone messes up and is correcting their self and/or making note that they understand they goofed. TBH, I would hope that someone other than me can see a clear and concise difference between a "facepalm"-type and a "D'oh!"-type situation. :| I just realized... My reply post to you here is a perfect example of what I'm talking about... :geek: ~Mr. D. V. "Thanks for causing me to make my point. : ..." Devnull

What the heck did you do there?!?!? Mix two languages or something?!?!? The translator's not working now!!! :( 10,988 ~D. V. "I'm still adapting to the 10K range." Devnull -
Me too... I've got it in my "View your posts" history. ....... Anywho, I think we can both agree that small and nifty (Yes, I said "nifty"... I will facepalm if you don't know what the word means.) emote would be better than having to deal with this... [hide=Oversize FacePalm Image, Click To View...][/hide] ... and the suffering from scrolling that it brings... Would you agree? :) ~Mr. "I'd like the emote more than the oversize image." Devnull

10,993 +1 for the swedish, Juhniz  ~D. V. "I cheated with a translator." Devnull -
Took me a month to find, but here's another one! Emote: Good for those doing 'facepalms', eh? Heck, "" would be a suitable BBCode to attach on this one... Although, I guess Tip.It Staff may possibly have to talk with the person hosting it before they'd use it, huh? :? ~D. V. "This has to be a hit..." Devnull (p.s.: For those who would question it, I'm still within forum rules on surfacing my thread like this... 1-month-limit, must have a reasonable addition, remember?)

<*facepalms*> Only just cleared the 11,000 mark, and someone has to blow it... Worse, it would be the guy who's in a cheery mood. Oh well... <*DVD hands Juhniz a 'sleep potion'-filled brownie from another tray nearby, and watches Juhniz eat it and then fall asleep.*> Hopefully, he will count better when he wakes up. What did I do now? D: Meh... You just happened to almost make me post the wrong number... Thank goodness I know how to catch myself. : Anywho, where were we? Oh yeah... 10,997 ~D. V. "And we're back underway..." dsavi, the person up above who said to make it a little more pointy is partially right. You might want to make 2 versions of the item, one for those who've seen carrots without rounded-off points, and one for those that have seen it with. As for the leaves, you might want to darken the ones way out on the far end opposite the carrot. I think you're right, and they're a little too bright. :-k BTW, why the choice in thread title? I'm sorry, but I just don't get it. Could you please explain? :? ~D. V. "Eh... What's up, Doc?" Devnull (p.s.: Yeah, I had to crack that joke... ...)

This makes me think of having the universe in your hand, and feeling the energy it is putting out. Maybe a little less of the "glass shower window effect" would have been preferable, though. (But hey, that's just me and my crazy opinion.) ~D. V. "I am not a 'big bang'..." Devnull

Looking for a good set of speakers
D. V. Devnull replied to Ss_J9_Goten's topic in Tech and Computers
Here's another good option... At least Logitech is still selling direct to Australia on these... (Sure wish they were with the USA...) http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/speakers_audio/home_pc_speakers/devices/208&cl=au,en Hopefully, you'll like them... I sure am. ~D. V. I was sure I'd placed support on a thread like this, but since I can't find it, I will support this one. Rather sad that Jagex doesn't want to let us have this, even as little as a private info, though. :( ~Mr. "I want a little extra history on my account." Devnull

11,002 ... Darn you, Napalm... You almost blew me up! Note to self: Try to learn another language or two... Life is too tough with only understanding of English words. :( ~Mr. "Argh, my ears! It's a language I can't understand!" Devnull -
On the note of your emote, try the following combo: [*:305o236d]Monk Robes [*:305o236d]Holy Amulet [*:305o236d]Coif [*:305o236d]Anti-Dragon Shield [*:305o236d]Leather Boots [*:305o236d]Any Gloves/Vambraces that work for you [*:305o236d]Any weapons/tools for what you're doing I have used this combo myself, and can say that it is the best for someone who needs to be able to do stuff easily, while not having a lot of pre-used pack slots. Personally, I hope this combination helps you. In all honesty, I find that functionality is better than 'glossy' stuff. :geek: ~D. V.
