  1. Yes, it is, but I know it to be a good version for RuneScape. : ... So I'm not going to go an inch further on that front, unless we discover something is corrupt in it or something is using it to blow things up. 8-) Okay, two more questions, seeing as all the info above doesn't show anything bad... What is the exact FireFox version number? (You'll find that in "Help > About Mozilla FireFox"... Look for something that has like a "3.#.#" on it, in the dialog that follows...) And, could you show us a list of all the extensions you currently have in FireFox??? (It is possible that one of those could be causing a problem...) :geek: ~D. V. "Still not sure what's blowing everything up..." Devnull
  2. Pardon the double-post... I'm having to copy from my PM Inbox... Really wish Peterblue had posted to the thread... How would I disable iTunes? I've only had Vista for around half a year now, and I'm STILL getting used to it(upgraded from 98). Well, I know Win98 had an MSConfig program for handling stuff like this. Unless I'm totally nuts, there should be something similar under Vista. But let someone else confirm what I've said before you go looking. (BTW, please specify your OS next time you have a problem. Sadly, I don't know as much about Vista, as I do XP... This will be my final post to the thread, so I can get out of the way of those that know more.) :-k Oh, and the next time you wish to reply, please don't send it to my PM Inbox. Please reply on the thread, using the button at the thread's bottom, or the "quote" button on my post. Never the PM one. :shame: ~D. V. "Just had to catch me off-guard, didn't you?" Devnull
  3. I'll give this full-blown mega-support! Would be perfect for those fansites who give a slot for it in the signature creation! ~Mr. "Quest Point display for all!" Devnull
  4. Never underestimate Jagex, daxter76... Just when you're not looking, they could pop up with such a thing... then, SURPRISE! You would be staring at one instantaneously 'snow-loaded' RuneScape!!! :D I'll support this idea. ~Mr. D. V. "Let it snow, people!" Devnull
  5. flsed, I bet it is due to the Christmas 2008 Event... Try again after the event ends, but definitely bug Jagex about it, because it sounds like you could use it far sooner... :geek: ~Mr. "There's always a bug creeping up, isn't there?" Devnull
  6. Yet another one for Jagex to fix, I guess... Good thing I don't use Quick Chat for this at this time... Who would want to end up telling people the wrong info, anyway? ~D. V. "That's one chat bug I'm glad I haven't fallen into." Devnull
  7. Roberthree, if you wish to have something that is "simple, but very useful", none of the above are such a great idea. Instead, I would suggest the Logitech LX3 Optical Mouse as your "weapon of choice"... Link  http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/mice_pointers/mice/devices/149&cl=us,en BTW, I'm using an LX5 Cordless Optical Mouse here, which my Dad chose... Link  http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/mice_pointers/mice/devices/150&cl=us,en I can say that as long as I remain in-range, and don't mis-position the wired receiver, it works like an awesome hell-buster... I can, on a really good day, get like 300 frags-per-hour with this mouse on "Stick Arena: Ballistick", although I'd think that would be extendable to stuff like Unreal Tournament, CS:S, Rasterwerks.com's "Phosphor FPS Beta" and/or Quake 3/4/Wars... Makes great for causing people to feel my wrath... ~D. V. "Best weapons are never fancy, just really functional..." Devnull
  8. Only part of it... Can you get a screenshot of your DirectX Diagnostics Info (first page and display page only) that we can look at? BTW, which version of Java do you happen to be running on your PC? :-s ~D. V. "Yeah, I got some questions..." Devnull
  9. Is it possible that iTunes is locking up the sound device? For example, have you tried disabling iTunes (only to test for conflict problems... re-enable after, obviously) at startup, rebooting, and then playing what it is that you wish to play? :-s BTW, I know that PCs aren't supposed to have this problem, but I thought I'd ask... Oh, and if you don't know what you're doing, don't even try this. :anxious: ~D. V. "Just something to test..." Devnull
  10. 10890 IF WE COUNT THAT FAIL OF A POST All it did was to take up a spot, and almost throw everyone. So, since they failed to type out the proper number, instead of their "fail of a post", I get to 'gank' them. <*DVD pulls out one of his various sledgehammers, one known as a "pancake hammer", and slams the ground next to HugeBrain... As it hits the ground, HugeBrain is suddenly transformed into a thousand edible pancakes.*> Eat up, everyone, because HugeBrain will respawn in 48 hours. BTW, syrup's in the fridge nearby. At least 8 varieties, including "classic maple", "Strawberry", and "Chocolate"... :P Now... where did we leave off? Ah, that's right... 10,888 ~Mr. D. V. "The Pancake Man" Devnull
  11. I'll place a big support on what the thread started with. ....... I simply see no reason to change any of it. However, I admit that Jagex might see reason to tweak a little of it. :-k ... Although, it would be nice if they left as-is. Esper_Jones's idea of how to tweak it is just overkill. :P ~D. V. "Now that's a monster worth my time." Devnull
  12. 10,901 Someone just get the next page up already... -.- ... Nice smilies, BTW... : ~D. V. "I like to move it!" Devnull
  13. This isn't some cruel, cruel joke to trick me into taking off my skill cape is it? I'd almost bet it is. Be careful. :!: I would loathe hearing that you ended up being forced to drop a cape that cost 100K to get... Let alone the fact that it cost all the hard work/time, just to get a '99'... :boohoo: ~D. V. "Danger, Will Robinson!" Devnull
  14. Uhmmmmm... WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!?!? How did we achieve this??? :o ~Mr. "WTF?" Devnull
  15. Actually, that can depend on the image data. I've had images where I got half the size for a PNG, than what I would have had for a JPG. :? ~D. V. "It ain't always that way..." Devnull
  16. +1 ... Moocky speaks truth... The gray one just seems a bit lackluster, and the text is hard to read on it... Unlike the green one, where the text is awesomely easy to read. :-k ~D. V. "I don't like dull..." Devnull
  17. Well... Then you're really missing out... All the better for me, come later... 10,908 ~D. V. "I pwn you!" Devnull
  18. Wouldn't PNG be better, both for small files and for image quality? Sure, if you wanted/needed to convert to JPG at a later time for any reason, that wouldn't be a problem, but I figure it would give a better starting copy to work with. (Heck, you can save as PNG directly from 'MS Paint'...) :-k ~D. V. "Quality might be worth seeking..." Devnull
  19. Okay, the rollback wiped me off the roster of who was to be added... However, I still have my image, so I submit again here... Heck, I made sure I had a Green, Team-39 Cape on!!! 8-) Forum/RuneScape Name: D_V_Devnull Image Location: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v299/D_V_Devnull/RS_Special_Images/20080527_2035_DVD_full_wev.png Actual Image: Please, get my image up before any more disasters can happen?!?!? ... And don't worry about editing the image, except for resizes/soft edges. I took care of the transparency already! : [EDIT: I almost forgot... Please light my name in purple? Thanks in advance! ...] ~D. V. "Lost in the mix..." Devnull
  20. Slave?!?!? SLAVE?!?!? :o ............ How dare you, offending the "Thread's Guardian"... :shame: ........... I think ... that I will deal out some rather reasonable punishment. And, it shall be something appropriate to the season of the year. <*DVD ties up Napalm_Death, and lets everyone else in the thread walk over and eat sweet foods/pastries/candies in front of them. Napalm_Death finds that they can't reach their head anywhere close to the people who are eating the sweet foods/pastries/candies...*> How do you like them 'candied apples'? Of course, you're not getting to eat any, Napalm_Death. :P Oh, man... i have the flu :( Dangit... I've got a cold too. :boohoo: 10,911 ............ Oh, geez, did I really have to get those 3 final digits? ~Mr. D. V. "I know how to punish those that do evil during this season." Devnull
  21. I have... But, it only occurs every so often, thankfully, and not every [bleep] time. :geek: I've just flat stopped. (At least, just until Jagex fixes the [bleep]ing thing.) I got the robes I came there for, and a nice token stack to boot... Only question now is when I'll use it. :P ~Mr. D. V. "So [bleep]ed up, ain't it?" Devnull
  22. Probably lurking, due to a lack of time... :-w ... Heck, have you noticed that I haven't come up with a good video in some time? Same [bleep] problem. 10,916 ~Mr. D. V. "[bleep] happens..." Devnull
  23. Double-check the rules listing on the main website... As well as the News listings... Jagex is still applying the rule, but they have decided that they will choose when to apply... Further, they have decided it is not necessary for the user to have an option to send a report in for that rule number... Now, while I disagree with them taking away the option, there is nothing I can do about it except tell people that it happened. :| ~D. V. "It sucks, doesn't it?" Devnull
  24. Yup... Something that Jagex added to that skill, but has now developed a really disturbing bug in it. Heck, the bug is so bad, I facepalm from it. ~Mr. "Auuuuugh! Die, bug, die!" Devnull
