Sarah Palin
John McCain clearly feels that questioning someone's judgement is OK - so long as it's not his. Of course, this can only be because his own judgement is totally infallible, and we should all bow down to the experience he gained... as a Prisoner... in Vietnam. McCain attacks media over Palin Does he honestly feel, with his almost Saint-like "judgement" as a politician, it's wise to go to war with the media just two months away from a General Election? The calls from the Republicans that the media are being sexist are also quiet amusing, given if that if she wasn't a woman, she wouldn't even be the candidate in the first place. Placing a woman in a position simply for being woman is sexist itself, and is quite clearly not equality.

Football/Soccer Transfers
Liverpool are still behind United and Chelsea in terms of stamina. Their first three results weren't exactly impressive. It would take both United and Chelsea to stuff up for Liverpool to have a chance. That isn't gonna happen. If United don't win, Chelsea will. As for Arsenal... no. The new stadium's wrecked their finances.

Football/Soccer Transfers
Rooney, Tevez and Ronaldo on the same pitch never worked well anyway. We've got enough strikers, but we desperately need cover as well as a Plan B on the bench when Rooney and Tevez aren't working. It's that cutting edge that we need. My only concern is Berbatov and Ronaldo being on the same pitch together. Two ego-maniacs on the same pitch. Berbatov is the only player we needed though. The rest of the squad is strong enough. That and getting rid of Saha. I can't believe we actually got something for Saha.

Google releases Google Chrome
^ Quiet a few of them won't go to the Google main page. They'll use the Google toolbar's search box, which completely skips the download link. I must say, it's not exactly advertised that well on the main page either. I had to actually look for it to notice it was there. Added to that the natural suspicion and conservatism people have towards new technology - many people will go "Why? I only want the Internet, and I've got it already". Until Microsoft's monopoly is broken (just as it eventually was with WMP in Europe), I can't see IE's share of the market breaking anytime soon.

Google releases Google Chrome
It all misses the point. IE is on top because it comes pre-installed. It's there. Many people who don't know otherwise would regard Explorer as the Internet. Half of them probably don't know what a browser is. Google aren't gonna change that.

Subconcsious: Actions of Attraction.
Snap. As a female I would never deny outright my "pupils do not dilate" about such things... But, it's pretty accepted that males are more visually stimulated than females.. and, females are stimulated differently. what kind of media was that pornography shown in? video? pictures? also, was it the same type? or was it different? [/hide] Snap. I hope I've made it a bit clearer for you. How many sexual positions are there? If the sexual position shown simply doesn't interest a woman she isn't going to be attracted to it more than a man who is attracted to it, is she? Also, what sort of pornography is it? Is Western pornography where the male is very much being dominant, or in some dominatrix, for his own pleasure? Is it the type of pornography where women are seduced as though they were feral and only worth taking sexual pleasure from? Is it East Asian pornography which openly shows girls being sexually abused (acting or otherwise)? I can't imagine that would turn a woman on more than a man. The bolded part you've shown is a generalisation. A pretty vague one at that.

What is your view on wealth?
I wouldn't really mind Johnny - it's his mate that's bragging, not him. It does annoy me. Half of them have never done an honest day's work in their life. They just get given success on a platter by their parents, while the rest of us have to work for it. They're better off for simply being born in the right place. Moreover, it makes them ill-equipped for the outside world. The university in my city has a problem with richer students coming in from the country, and going wild in a city they're not familiar with. They're the type who'll spend 5 minutes working through debit cards at the co-op. Some of them think they're automatically better than me and my family because they went to a better school. I remember going to university interviews and I felt like I was being judged for my clearly poorer appearance against people who had spent thousands on their suits. Yes, it annoys me. It just seems to create an attitude that material wealth > decent work ethic.

Face it, tier lists are for 15 year old kids to gain bragging rights about how Snake is so much more awesome than Mario. The mature solution would be to create an official match-up table, instead of some (massively) generalised list about who's better than who.

Sarah Palin
Wait, rewind. They vetted her and they knew this is what she was like, and STILL went and chose her? Is McCain just plain stupid? There were dozens of better candidates, but McCain chose her because she's a woman. It doesn't say much about his leadership credentials, and you'd happily trust him with possibly three fronts in the Middle East, all the while wasting billions of USD and thousands of soldiers' lives to keep the war going? That is a huge gamble. And let's be clear, there is a real possibility for McCain more than others to die in office or be forced to retire due to age, leaving Palin as President. That's not ageist, it's a fair evaluation of his physical health, and Palin's comparative inadequacy for office. Moreover, it says something about the Republican Party if they were so desperate to wind a female candidate, and she was the best they could up with. I think it's fair to say that, in the eyes of anyone who can see past Baptist morality and pro-American nationalism, this party, this President and especially this VP are not fit to take over the most powerful country in the modern world.

Chain Letters
I once did two so the true love of my life would confess her feelings for me, and have sex with me, on two separate days, just to create a logical fallacy. Nowadays I just bin them. In fact, I don't even go on MySpace anymore.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
Don't play any game. That situation she's in sounds awful. You couldn't pay me enough to be a teenage girl, honestly. I'd lay off the whole you fancying her thing. Given she's already having to deal with someone who wants to go out with her, and her friend's directly involved, I think that's enough on her plate. What I would do is tell one of her close girl mates, and then she can just tell her in private without all the awkwardness and confrontation of you telling. You get what I mean? Then if she feels ready to deal with it and talk to you, she knows where you are, and you can front up to it then. It needs getting out in the open, but without all the friction and awkwardness really. I feel sorry for her.

If your boiling this down to experience alone, that would make Palin a better President than any of the others. You're not being serious, are you?

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
[hide=Willboyer1] [/hide] The way I see it, you're at a fork in the road. You've gotta make a decision between keeping the relationship as just friends, or going further. If you keep it as just friends, the feelings you have for her could very well get in the way of that, and above all else, it defies what should be the first rule of friendship - honesty. Then, if you go for a relationship, you're right, it could go wrong and you'll likely never regain what you have now. It's up to you two to talk it out, and see what's best for you and what you both feel comfortable with. If you both feel comfortable being just friends while holding those feelings, then fine. But if not, you have to live with that. It's not a nice decision but that's what you're facing. There's two other things that are concerning me though. Firstly, you've never met her in real life. Conversations on MSN are much easier than real life. You can take a good minute to think of a good reply. You might talk forever, but in reality, you might only keep a conversation going for a few minutes before you run out of things to say. That's why real life interaction is always important before establishing a relationship like the one you describe. The second thing is the age difference. She's 14. I'm gonna prejudice this view with my own personal beliefs, but 14 year olds are simply not mature enough to keep up with that type of relationship a 17 year old wants. Both emotionally and sexually. That could be an obstacle if you do take it further. Like I said, it's your choice. But that's my analysis. I hope it helps you make a good decision. Most importantly though, talk to her about it! The two of you can't have a relationship or a close friendship if you keep things like this from each other, can you? imbackstinkers - if you're just in it for sex, but she wants more, just don't go there. You're not looking for the same thing, so you won't get what you want from each other. Simple as. Unless you want the cold shoulder while sitting next to her in class, just don't.

There were some people on the Smash wiki before actually complaining about Link's low classification. Apparently you can do a lot with his bombs (being a TL user, I think he's talking garbage). :? You gotta move faster than 3 seconds per move to win this game, and why swing upwards three times when just once will suffice?

Sarah Palin
Oh yes, please do. See, now McCain is on the backfoot in light of yesterday's revelations. One of two scenarios is true: A) McCain did not properly vet Palin, in which case, this shows bad leadership. B) McCain did vet her properly, and chose her anyway despite all this baggage, which shows bad judgement. The very two things he's been attacking Obama for. It is astounding hypocrisy.

It's a blatant lack of freedom for a person to make their own choice. Once again jack, you are attempting to argue subjective points and pass them off as objective. Abortion, by definition, is not murder.

Either Nintendo or Tip.It should make a proper online matches system. The whole stage system seems overly complicated. I don't agree with the Bridge of Eldin being banned either. Players don't have to play on the edge the stage if they don't want to. It would be like complaining about Corneria and then choosing to stand on the blasters at the front.

Sarah Palin
I'm not referring to her pro-life stance (although now you mention it, it is pretty rich of you to claim Obama would force an abortion when I could easily turn round and say Palin forced her daughter to do exactly the opposite). I'm referring to the fact she supports abstinence-until-marriage sex education for everyone else, and can't even keep her own daughter on (what she sees as) the straight and narrow. It's evidence of her complete incompetence as a leader, and McCain's incompetence at appointing jobs as a leader.

Lowering of the drinking age to 18
That is a disgusting comment. 'Chavs' are not a result of alcohol, the 'chav' social group is just like any other teenage social group - it's a group of people with common backgrounds attempting to find a common identity while they place themselves in the world around them. Those chavs will be the plumbers and builders of tomorrow, building and fixing the very hospitals that are getting crowded. It is not just a problem with chavs, so don't attempt to generalise the issue. In fact, from what I personally saw on a night out on Saturday, it's actually mostly students in university that get drunk and end up in A&E anyway.

Sarah Palin
There's no evidence Obama would do any such thing, and I for one have not seen anything from Obama about abstinence-until-marriage, so he probably wouldn't be as hung up about it as your typical Republican anyway. Those of us who support a woman's right to choose sure as hell don't encourage abortion either. Contraception is always the far better option. However, she's going for a VP position. If McCain falls for whatever reason, she will be President of the largest nation on the planet. How on Earth can she lead a country of 300 million people when she cannot even lead her own daughter, just one person? If Obama is an accident waiting to happen (in your eyes, not mine), Palin is a walking disaster. Moreover, it was McCain's choice to choose her as his running mate, no one else's. If he's chosen such a clearly flawed and hypocritical person at this point, one can only imagine what he'd do with the other positions he also would have control over as President!
