  1. Sweet. 8-) And please don't make it Runescape related. Strange question perhaps, but why? Tip.It is a RuneScape fansite after all...
  2. From personal experience (having died from a poison, teleblock, freeze and mage attacks thanks to a revenant), I can tell you they are poisonous. As for retreat, that's a no. They simply stop fighting and heal, like we eat food and stop fighting for one phase.
  3. Oh... god no. I may technically be an extremist myself but I'm still very much a supporter of democracy. TBH, her assassination reminded me of Martin Luther King who is someone I have quite a lot of respect for. Well one thing's for sure; the West's (I'll refer to as 'us' from now on) tactic of confronting anything we don't like in the Middle-East is not getting us anywhere and is actually making things worse. Al-Queda was obviously well known before 9/11 but now it's much larger, thanks to how we've insensitively poked about the more authoritarian teachings of Islam and their governments, it's become a lot worse. There was a poll done by the Daily Telegraph (obviously not exactly scientific) which claimed 100,000 Muslims in the UK felt the justification of the 7/7 attacks on London was valid. The fact is, they see us as meddling and some even see us a Islamaphobic. All we're doing is creating an environment where extremism can flourish by contantly getting involved in their affairs and attacking their brothers with threats, war and economic sanctions. We have got to stop being so counterphobic, and accept Pakistan and the rest of the Middle-East will go in whatever direction it takes, and we have no right to judge them for it until it becomes a threat to our own security.
  4. So what is your answer? Maybe my justification is soft; after Christmas and real life problems I really don't have the energy to argue right now! Personally, I actually more lean towards your side of thinking. We have to accept that we cannot steer the world in the direction we want it to. The sad fact is Bush is calling for democracy when it's clear all that would lead to is extremists getting into power in certain parts of the Middle East constitutionally where they're most strongest. Let us not forget Al-Queda is practically running its HQ in Pakistan, yet we expect moderate Islam to prevail there by waving this golden ticket called "Democracy"? We have to accept Pakistan, and most of the Middle-East for that matter, is slowly deteriorating into instablity and there is nothing we can do to stop it. I'm not a person who thinks in the short-term, but a solution is needed and having elections next month, or in the months after is not going to be a long-term solution to Pakistan's political problems.
  5. Firstly, about Chamberlain, that is a digressed point. Comparing foreign policy to government structure is frankly like comparing chalk and cheese. On that point, there were plenty of opportunities to use diplomacy without the need to bend over the other way and follow a policy of appeasement. Nowadays, I point you to both the UN and the EU which in effect are bodies designed to maintain Capitalist democracies if nothing else, yet are both examples of diplomacy. Also, if you honestly believe the Irish managed to gain their indepedance from the Union without violence then you believe that. Are you suggesting that the formation of the IRA through Sinn Fein, the Easter Rebellion and the Anglo-Irish War of 1919-21 were examples of "peaceful negotiation"? For the matter, Ireland had no need for a revolution. It transferred from a democracy ruled over in Westminster, to a democracy controlled in Dublin. Thirdly, where did I say revolutions had to be violent? Britain experienced its Industrial Revolution in the 1800s. Russia had its Agrarian Revolution in the start of the 20th Century. Neither of those were violent, but were still examples of rapid change. Let's ignore those two points though and move back to the topic in-hand. That country cannot continue in the way it's going. Its army's de facto leader is the supreme commander of political power. At the click of his finger, he could declare martial law and would meet little resistance in doing so. The leader of the opposition to that man has just been killed in alledgedly Pakistan's most secure city by extremists who are clearly strong enough to undermine what democratic process still remains in Pakistan. Any elections held in the near future will result in mass political violence and civil unrest. What on Earth is the solution? We, as the Western European powers, take a spectator's seat and watch the country descend into anarchy; an anarchy Osama himself will likely flourish in?
  6. What exactly is there for any of us that go on to that sticky to advise on? She stuck it halfway in her mouth, you knew she had a crush on you. It's not rocket science... seriously.
  7. A democracy involves two or more political powers grinding against one another in an attempt to win votes. In ours and the US's democracy, that's safe because the Armed Forces are more-or-less independant from the government, let alone a political party. Pakistan is ruled by someone who until a month ago was your equivalent of a Commander-in-Chief. It is descending into civil war, and only the Taleban operating over the border in Afghanistan can benefit from this. I fear that we are going to hear the phrase 'Civil War' more often in the future if this really gets out of hand. President Bush and PM Brown have strategically blamed extremists, because blaming Musharraf will end up in a diplomatic dispute. However, that doesn't rule out the opinion that he may have had a hand in the attacks. If it turns out he has had a hand in this, we will certainly be hearing 'Civil War' in the future. All Pakistan needs to be thrown into a civil war is for the pro-democratic people to take up arms against Musharraf and/or the extremists. If you want my honest opinion on South Asia/Middle East in general, that whole region needs to be thrown into revolution. Pakistan could prove to be the birthplace of a democratic republican Middle East, just as Russia proved to be the birthplace of Sovietism. This idea by the Allies that these countries can honestly tranform their governments from tyrannical fundamentalist dictatorships to liberal democracies without a revolution of some sort is completely ignorant to what our own histories teach on the matter. We had to have a war that lasted decades before we installed a Parliament. America had to fight for its independance. As did France to overthrow its monarchy. Wherever there is a change of government, a revolution has to precede. Bush needs to get it into his head that until that happens, the Middle East will continue to be split down the centre in political instability. Hence why our actions in Iraq and Afghanistan have not helped this situation in the slightest.

  9. Hmm... next goal; overtake 3 Point in Combat Level! :D [hide=Slayer 58][/hide] And on that dark note, I bid Tip.It farewell until Friday. Hope you all have a great holidays, I'll be back in time for New Year! :
  10. Congrats on Level 114 Combat. Sorry I couldn't be there. This time next month you could be 126 technically :P
  11. Yep you do, but you still pwn me at Barrows. :P [hide=Ranged 70][/hide] [hide=Defence 77][/hide] Got killed by a danged revenant knight whilst doing a level 3 Clue Scroll... those things are just completely overpowered. How can it hit 10 through full black d hides and Protect from Mage?! :x
  12. Congrats on 91 Fletch! Put some dynamic bars into your goals section. Then this blog be hawt, k? : Just 'coz your eyesight level is nub...
  13. If you are referring to the Rangers inside the God Wars Dungeon: http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?r ... er_id=1015 If you are referring to another monster, please can you be a bit more specific and give us some more information, like a screenshot? It would be much appreciated.
  14. To be honest, I've only been using that on the maps, or where I've felt it's exceptionally needed. You don't want to overdo it or you'll spam up the user's browser with about 10 seperate pages. I think this is a case where that exception is needed though, since the quest is completely unrelated I've added what darkblade's wrote. Since this has been dealt with, I'll lock up. Thanks for helping. :) Locked ~Ginger Warrior
  15. I know. I had a pleasent surprise when purepure told me about the Vulture Eggs. Apparently takes ages to get some so... I dunno. [hide=79 Hitpoints + 96 Combat][/hide] [hide=57 Slayer][/hide]
  16. Thing is, it's not strictly upon starting the quest either. I've edited the entry to give a more accurate point at which you can use the Fairy Ring Network. That's the best way I could think of wording it, so I'll leave this thread open to see if anyone else has got any ideas.
  17. I blame the Real Life pictures sticky, personally.
  18. Why don't you actually give us a chance to explain ourselves? We know how to do our jobs; we're not incompetants, thanks. The reason the picture hasn't been uploaded is due to a fault in our own database system. For some reason, it doesn't allow us to upload images for monsters which contain an apostrophe in their name. The same is true for Kree'arra, even though we have a perfectly useable image for that as well. It's been raised to the people who know how to code our system; it's still yet to be done. Also, I think you'll find mchainmail has changed the guide. I'm looking at it right now, waiting for MPM to release it. All content featured in anything other than the Bestiary or Items Database has to be checked and varified by him personally first. The typos are the only things which haven't been addressed, which I'll fix now. Although I dispute the correct English, since it should actually be lower case "d", since presumably it translates to "of", which is a word of insignificance and shouldn't actually be capitalised. Nonetheless, so shall Jagex write it, so shall it be done. I appreciate you're trying to help, but please be patient before accusing us of things which are frankly out of our own control.
  19. Ha! Great pic  Good luck with both those 99s!
  20. I live closest to him out of everyone here. He smells of Monkfish, k? I can smell him from 400 or so miles away. Here's a quote from my blog (personal joke): There's a remedy to your 'problem'. :P
  21. Thanks! Oww, I ain't going for 99. Probably about Level 64, depending on how much GoF bump up their requirements by. It's an alright bank. I'm proud of it anyways. Hunting's good preparation anyways. I'm thinking of doing Eagles Peak. I have a feeling that'll be needed for Wolf Whistle. Hehe, count the lines. There's a whole page and a bit missing from that bank that's unfilled. I had no marker to fit it onto. [hide=Ranged 69][/hide] One more to go! And I have Karil's banked. :D Also, I'll be updated my Drops section to include my Barrow Runs so far.
  22. That's OK. Thanks for trying anyway. :) Locked ~Ginger Warrior
  23. We have an Items DB entry right here. I've checked the Bestiary entries, and both Imps (the one you killed and the one in the GWD) are already listed as dropping this.
  24. Yes... this is quite interesting. No doubt in the run up to Summoning. I've added it into the drops list under "Misc:" but I need to know whether it was 100% or not? That monster doesn't have any other drops so it wouldn't surprise me if this was the case. Also, for anyone hunting Vultures in the future, keep an eye out for this drop. I also suspect Jagex may not have meant to add this prior to Summoning. Nonetheless, I'll add the drop anyway. I'll keep this thread open for further discussion. :) Thanks pure. :
