"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
Basically Powman, we're trying to teach empathy to you, which by the way is a pretty key thing when it comes to relationships. Now not every human is the same psychologically, of course. But the basic fundamentals still hold true and at the end of the day, we're 97% alike to each other (or some percentage like that, don't quote me on it. The point's made anyway). You've got two options; either think of how you yourself would want to be approached, and gain confidence that way; or think about what she wants. Because at the end of the day, no one on this board can teach you how to ask a girl out. Sorry, life's just hard that way. Some lessons can't be taught.

You're missing the point... she didn't ask how you'd react, she's asking how you personally would be impressed by someone who wanted to ask you out.

Terrorism
See this is an interesting point to me. We've also now unfortunetely experienced a terrorist attack on British soil, in both London and Glasgow, and we've also had many of our own troops die fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan. Admittedly not as many as have died in America, but nonetheless some of our commanders compare the situation to Ulster. Yet at no point has there really been a majority of this country in favour of military action in Afghanistan and especially not in Iraq. I think it may have something to do with the George Bush Administration. I'm not saying they would actually coordinate a 'self-inflicted wound', but whilst our government called for tolerance and free will in order to defeat terrorism, yours openly declared war on those that had attacked you. I'm getting the impression America has started to see it cannot defeat terrorism through military action. Would you say that's true?

RuneScape 2007 Year in Review and Report Card
I'm afraid I have to say something similar with Bobbington in regards to Castle Wars. TBH, I detest it now. Castle Wars at the beginning of the year was a strategic minigame generally mature and able characters played. Now it's a cesspool of PKers, and you have to wait a whole minute before starting a game because the sheer weight of all the data will kick you out otherwise. Castle Wars should never have been given two worlds; one at most. I liked the small 10ish vs. 10ish games; your strategic ability actually made the game fun and your presence worthwhile. It should also have been taken into consideration in regards to PvP wilderness combat being destroyed, and an alternative released before PvP combat was removed. As for the GE, I'm not completely on Jagex's side and I agree when you say it could be improved. It's a feature that's long been needed to cope with the speed of the RS economy; a poorly moderated (no offence bobbington - you all do a great job but the RSOF simply has too much traffic) forums could never suffice. However, there shouldn't be a completely free market. Scamming was rife and to make a complete reversal would play into the RWT hand's, just when we think they're dead. Instead, the prices of ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâñ5% should only be advisory, and real restriction should be something along the lines of ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâñ50% for incredibly cheap items, with that percentage getting lower as the value of items increases (to about ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâñ5% again for something like a full dragon set).

I killed myself
Not really everyone. However, I'll agree with the stats that show a clear neglegence towards this issue and mental healthcare overall. At least, that's how it is here... I think it's actually worse in the US too from what I've read. Anyways, if I was a person analysing your dreams (not that I have any experience whatsoever except when I helped one person understand what she was going through) I'd say that's your mind telling you not to give up and take the easy way out, because you'll only miss out on the things you long for. As a general rule in life, to struggle and come out of an ordeal a better person is always a better feeling than hopelessness and defeat.

Yes, like I said. You're perfectly allowed to have that opinion. But when you name a website with a name like "TruthScape", most people expect it to be impartial, and at points, it's clear there's an almost-partisan bias to it. I don't mean to be overly critical because the articles you write are deeply analytical, a great read and mostly consist of strong justified arguments, believe me. That's just a small criticism I have of them.

It doesn't need to sound like a Hollywood blockbuster; just be confident and do it at the right time (i.e. when you're both close and alone).

Terrorism
In this half-hour writing spree would you concerntrate soley on the USA or would you recall that Britain and France were also guilty of this crime after World War 2? It is injust to blame the USA completley for stamping out ideologies when all the allied forces divided up Europe into zones of influence and set up governments for their own needs. Russia is guilty as well, the only difference is that Russia's collapse of power over its puppet regimes finally completly collapsed nearly twenty years ago now, and that collapse was hardly a bloodless transition. France didn't actually participate in the conference which decided the fate of post-war Germany. It was Churchill, a dying Roosevelt and Stalin that decided that. Heh, that's strange because I don't seem to recall ever justifing our actions post-War either, nor blaming America completely. In fact, I'm a lot more generous to the Americans in regards to WWII than more Britons. I at least acknowledge we could not have won that war without the help of the US or USSR. We couldn't have been defeated either, but we wouldn't have won and Hitler would have been allowed to continue until such a point the USSR and Germany would have gone to war. Where America does have a fault though is its perception that Democracy is the defence against fanatical extremism. Let's not forget Hitler was actually voted into power. Of course you have a right to defend yourselves, but that doesn't give you the right to invade a forgeign country and spread a terror of your own on the grounds it might spawn anti-American terrorists later. Surely, your money would be better spent investing into your intelligence services? No more so is that shown than in your stance towards Iran. Your foreign policy attacks them on the grounds it is run by a dictatorship, instead of focusing on the fact Iran contains terrorist cells. It's therefore perhaps not hard to see why a significant proportion of Muslims see you as a nation that just wants to force your ideology onto them. Counter-phobic reactions have the risk of provocking more anti-American feelings. You need to change tactic; a president which takes the uber-Patriotic stance "You either with us, or against us" isn't helpful to creating a peaceful environment at all.

I'm not a US citizen so I can't speak for your domestic affairs (except for the fact you do need rapid change in key areas like healthcare in order to keep up with the rest of the world). What I do know however is many of the Islamic countries whose opinions you need to gain favour of see you as a bullying, uber-Christian nation and as such, that you see Islam as the enemy to your nation. Their phobias aren't helped when you stop almost anyone who looks like a terrorist at an airport, and keep them detained for hours while you check them, yet allow whites to just pass by. Nor do your actions in the Middle-East help, which can arguably been seen by Muslims in the region as tyrannical. A person coming into power with such vehemently strong Christian principles will not be productice and will possibly make the situation more dangerous. Not that that should exclude him from being president, but as a superpower, the image your president gives towards the outside world the is something you have to be aware of. Say what you like about Hillary or Obama; they (the Democrats) give a much more peaceful message towards the Islamic world than the Republican candidates seem to. HIV can only be spread through the contamination of bodily fluids. There would have to be severe incompetance to mix the bodily fluids of two patients, and I can't see how isolation (which is almost synonymous with segregation) would particularly reduce that. The NHS treat HIV patients along-side other patients, and I've never heard of the catastrophic scenario you seem to describe.

Terrorism
I could go into a half-hour writing spree and bore you to death with my view on America's history regarding ideologies it doesn't particularly like, but I won't. Put simply; you tried to defeat an ideology (Sovietism) by arming extreme Islamist militant groups to prevent Soviet forces from advancing and enforcing Communism into their countries. This problem is half your own creation, and what's even more laughable is there are still people, such as my good self, on the extreme left-wing. You couldn't destroy an ideology in the Cold War, what makes you think you can do it now? Needless to say, I in no way support this war on terror, even through the claims of "democracy". Democracy forced through the barrel of a gun? Likely story...

GE Trends |UPDATED March 05th|
Nice data collection there primadog. Impressive! =D> I love the way it shows Jagex messed up on some of the prices and they were so off no one's prepared to sell items to rebalance the prices either. Fire runes seems a prefect example. The GE price I believe is somewhere around 11gp, yet in reality due to the vast amount of Fire Giant hunters they're only worth 2-5gp each. As a result, that line hasn't gone up or down. Just shows Jagex really need to form this new team of people to take care of prices... fast.

RuneScape 2007 Year in Review and Report Card
I can't argue with a lot of those articles. I don't have the time, understandably, to read every single one of them, but the ones I read were well thought out and analytical. There is still one major concern I have though, and it's most noticeable with your comments about the GE; you still seem to see the game through the eyes purely of a Western, democratic Capitalism-supporting man. If that's what you feel is best for the game, then that's a perfectly valid view. When you use words like "draconian" to describe their centralised control of the RS market, it becomes a problem for me personally though. At points like that, your politics seem to cloud your judgement slightly. You almost seem to imply Jagex are absolutely 100% completely out of their minds and wrong for wanting to control prices. However, there are a great many of us that feel the price controls are actually good and encourage selling on the Exchange. For instance, there was a deadlock just before the Exchange where yew log sellers are selling way too high for fletchers to afford. The GE in effect forces cashflow in the market, and I can't really see that as a bad thing personally. Yes, the GE has its faults and I was one of the first to make my feelings known about it. But nowhere has Jagex stated its game represents the real-world's free market, and you shouldn't write with the presumption that's how the game should be. Apart from that though, like I said, I can't disagree with most of the content. :)

Summoning Wallpaper #3
"Heil the Fuhrer"? What the hell is the matter with you? Are you suggesting that someone who has no experience with politics can speak of it more clearly and with more authority than someone who does? No, I specifically did NOT say that. Christ, this place is getting to be as bad as the RSOF. There's no need for the flaming qeltar. We have as much right to question your opinion as you do of questioning Jagex's. For the first quote, that is not what you said at all. You said that if someone wishes to comment on something, they should have experience of it first. The fact is, and this is the beauty of a liberal society, we can have an opinion on absolutely anything we want, and so long as we can justify it, we don't actually need personal experience. As for the second, well what are you saying? By 'priorities', what exactly are you referring to, if not diverting manpower to the things that should take priority in your eyes?

Summoning Wallpaper #3
So under that logic, one must have experience of being a politician before one engages in politics then? Heil the Fuhrer! For the matter in-hand, the wallpaper is only concept art. Most of it was likely done by the artist who developed the Summoning skill's avatars. I can't imagine it would have taken that long for them to convert concept art into something that could be released into the public domain as a wallpaper. The updates needed for the GE require much more time. I don't even see the monster-hunting clans, whose ways were practically destroyed yesterday, disagreeing with that. On a more logistical level, this wallpaper was probably made by someone with clear talent in graphical art; yet you would have them work on a code they probably know nothing about, on an economy they have little experience of? Knowing people's personal skills is key to being a good leader, and so far Andrew and Paul have done that with near indesputable perfection.

Then don't use it. This should be on the General board, and there's already a thread for the Lightning clan chat. Remember it is an unofficial feature of the Tip.It community: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=686442&start=0

Summoning is F2P too (confirmed?)
The crown seems wierd... there are usually a couple pixels below the 'M' before the crown cuts off. Not only that, but the spacing between the lines seems irregular. A good fake, but a fake nonetheless is my vote. The fact it's in .JPG implies the creator tried to hide the fakeness behind a poor quality image overall.
