A.L.S. Walk to Defeat A.L.S.
No offence, but I don't see why I should suddenly feel obliged to donate to a charity after being appealed to about how 'good' (in comparison to like charities) it is. Surely, if I cared enough to donate in the first place, I'd do some research into the leading charities and donate to you myself? It's the same principle when cold-callers phone our house asking if we want a new loan. Funnily enough, if we did, we'd go out and look for one.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
I've yet to meet a person who thinks otherwise... hell even my brother at 11 thought he was mature enough to have a long-term relationship. That's an entirely seperate thing altogether. The clothes you wear are somewhat comparable with the style of personality you have. You can expect a person who dresses in 'loud' clothing will typically be an extrovert who doesn't really care about what other people make of them. Those who dress in fairly plain clothing will typically have 'safe' personalities and won't be that compelled to 'push the boat out' in life, as it were. If you're going to counter this by saying girls don't care about personality, then I ask you; in your own mind, what exactly do girls look for in guys, in general?

Certain boards SWAMPED with copy threads.
There are several similar threads that appear on the General, but each does have its own purpose. There is typically one general thread for the update, quoting the main article, with lots of others which go into more detailed discussion about a certain aspect of that skill. All those topics which are, in effect, either pure speculation or ditto topics of a topic that already exists are locked. I see no reason for that policy to change.

POSTED AND CREDITED! Charms drops topic 1 (Locked)
So what do you exactly want us to do now? (if we want to offcourse :P) what color of charm they drop or also the drop rate? My role on Tip.It isn't to guide you guys, it's to guide the data you gather yourselves and provide us into a presentable format on the Tip.It Bestiary. Go about your everyday RS lives. If you find a monster that drops charms, tell us how many charms that monster drops compared to how many of them you killed. That would help massively. :

Absolutely not. The work you are doing here will be of huge help later on. This is exactly the research technique we like from the community. :)

If Charms 'were' tradeable would you buy them?
It's taking me 715K to get from Level 12 to 40, and that's just with iron ore and Spirit shards. how on Earth can 99% of RuneScape afford to train this skill beyond even a half-decent level? This skill is only 'good' for those with netfulls of money in their pockets anyway. I can't see how making charms tradable would change that.

If someone beat this game 600,000 times.
Thats right, medical advice on a runescape offtopic forum. Just like the tons of "my neighbors house is on fire what do i do guis?" The thread is in that category. You're comparing chalk and cheese and thus your argument has failing logic. Also, it clearly states Off-Topic is NOT for RuneScape related discussion. What's wrong, therefore, with asking for advice on this forum? No, not special, the stickies here are worthless and bloated. In your opinion; they're there for a purpose however, and that purpose is to stop countless inane threads like this one. If that sticky is "worthless and bloated", I'd say it's fulfilling its purpose very well.

With the new Summoning bonuses...
The thing is, we're told as Crewbies not to take information from the RSKB since Jagex are just as prone to making a typo, or an innocent human error as we are. I suspect we're gonna have to test each and every piece of armour for its Summoning values. :| {EDIT: this work is now in process (see sticky) and should be completed soon.}

Hidden personalities: We wear the mask
I would imagine a person with interests such as yourself would Goddess. : Personally, I'm an incredibly reactive person emotionally. That's what I meant by ambivalent in the other topic. Someone says something that inadvertently makes me suspicous or unsure about them and I instantly shut myself off from them, almost like I'm sulking. Either that or I get angry if it persists. If people thought my sarcastic, almost flammy style of posting in this forum was bad, you should see me when I get going in real life. At least on the forums, I don't have to look at that same person in the face (which usually just draws up all that emotion I'm trying to shun in the first place). I can go away for a shower, or a cup of tea and come back and reply in a much more calm manner. That's what it is for me. It's all in a person's face. I can trust someone without looking at their face but make me look them in the eye and I'll just doubt their body language, lose confidence in myself and just clam up.

POSTED AND CREDITED! Charms drops topic 1 (Locked)
I have a theory: If a monster drops one colour of charm, it will drop all four colours of charm. If someone could confirm this one way or another, it would help us on the Bestiary massively. For instance, do Chaos Dwarves drop Crimson charms? Do Basilisks actually drop Blue charms? For those interested, I've decided to call all drops as "Charm(#)" instead of their actual colours.

What grinds your gears?
You are aware Summoning was released today, aren't you? Personally, there's one thing that irritates me above everything else - ignorance. When a person has a problem, they go to you for advice and then fail to heed that advice. When you try and explain something to someone and they just laugh and shrug you off. When it's clear I don't want to talk about something with someone, yet they carry on anyway as though I'll change my mind if tried talking a bit more. When it's clear you need help, yet everyone's so obsessed with their own menial affairs they couldn't care less to batter an eyelid at you. That's annoys me to no end... in fact I'm getting annoyed writing about it... :wall:

Depression
Actually, if they're being properly tested, it's quite hard. It needs more than "Oh, I'm feeling a little down, gimme me some antidepressents Mr. GP pl0x?" You're more than welcome to have whatever views you like, however internationally Depression is regarded a serious medical condition that leads to disability. You'd be surprised at the percentage of people who suffer from some sort of depression, and even more shocked at the number of cases which go undiagnosed because it has that exact stigma you talk of Phil. Personally, if they've only been feeling 'depressed' for a couple of weeks, I cannot see how they've actually been diagnosed as depressed, since that doesn't meet the conditions set out by the leading bodies. As Goddess says, wait longer than a few weeks, and see if you still feel the same way. Another thing make sure of is that this isn't 'grief' as opposed to depression. Depression is much more serious an issue, whilst grief is, reletively, easier to treat.

The best monsters to kill for each charm color
It seems me one thing is true for all monsters which drop charms... If a monster drops a charm, it all drop all colours of charm. Am I correct in making that assertion? In which case, I can start compiling a list for our Bestiary now. :)

Today's Monster Examines (21 new monsters)
Right... so when the priest is fighting you with melee, his level is higher (since melee fighers always have higher levels than their ranged/mage counterparts), and when he's fighting with range and mage, it's lower? Once I know I can radd the other one to the Bestiary. As it is, I know nothing about it... :|

Bestiary: Revenant Dragon (need HP, drops, more info!)
I've added this monster onto the database. It's hidden from the public pending further essential information, such as HP etc.. Rest assured you have been credited. If anyone else would like to add more information, please feel free to do so. :)

15 January 2008 - Summoning!
This was actually pretty smart of them. Had they not done this, they'd have had to rebalance *every* monster in the game. Thank heavens for that... :|

UNoffical Tip It Clan Chat! Join Channel: Lightning
It wasn't me before you get any ideas, and with fairness that is rather spammy since it's kinda obvious when it's a system update? We don't people to tell us so we just presume you're causing trouble when people say there's an update coming. :-w Lightning is an informal chat... and that is kinda spammy in itself. If you were expecting intelligent conversation about the price of a barrel of oil in Texas, it was never going to be the clan chat for you. :

Finals Exams - Your experiences/strategies?
The key to caring about your exams is to, well, make sure you care as little as possible. If you enter that exam hall with a clear mind, calm and confident, you will do much better than if you've panicked and tried to cram everything into your head the night before. Simply for the fact you're thinking a lot more clearer and logically. My personal technique is to revise only in the week before the exam, doing a few hours each night, finishing off with a couple past papers the night before. No revision, just practising questions. The fact of the matter is, the amount of material they can test you for is incredibly limited and most questions are regurgitated year after year with slightly different wording. Doing practise papers almost makes answering such questions contemptuously easy. It's not done me harm so far. In fact my friend, who never relaxes long enough to talk properly on MSN and has been in this state for the last month, is actually resitting this year (she's a year older than me), so...

Where on Gielenor do you get your information...?
I don't see why you're being sarcastic about this. In the top of this board, it clearly asks for proof to be presented with all threads. I can hardly be blamed for not accepting a submission that has no proof behind it. In fact, if I did operate that policy, and the information I provided turned out to be wrong, you'd be rightly calling me incompetant. Jard, all good things come with time. I don't have much of it right now. I have added all the drops listed by Madmanpur3 and capitalised your name Soma. The Saradomin sword has been re-added into the three guardians' entries.

Depression
Has your diet changed at all as well? Are you tired, ill? Has the amount of social interaction you've been getting fallen? I've noticed you've been quite vacant on Lightning clan chat recently... If you're that concerned about it, see your doctor. If it's a personal matter, they'll refer you to a counsillor. If it is something more serious like depression, they'll have a specialist check it out. It could be anyone of those other things though, so "Don't Panic" (Hitchhiker)!

Hidden personalities: We wear the mask
Pretty much the same. It doesn't take much of genius to realise that if you place a person in two different scenarios, their reaction to those environments will be different. Ask me to to an ice-breaker style, 'sum up yourself in a positive light' thing on Tip.It and I'd be able to do it wiht little difficulty. When I'm asked to do that same thing in real life though, I just crawl into this shell because I'm so full of self-doubt. I just have to remain positive and keep telling myself I'm just as good as anyone else in this world...

Brewing Ale times
I brew Slayer's Respite fairly often and no way does it take me 5 days to brew a barrel. It takes a full day at the very most...

Either that, or they make it so we can split profits at the GE. Until then, Monster Hunting's not gonna get anyone anywhere and it may as well be a double lottery. :| [hide=100 Combat (Defence 80)!!!!][/hide] I got the levels and the equipment but I did it just a day too late! I can't get any vouchers in time for tonight's deadline, so I'll be applying next month on the 7th February. Until then, it's back to Barrows and waiting for Summotifising. :)

What if Iran attacked U.S?
America produces a tiny minority of the oil it consumes. It depends on oil from the Middle-East in order to keep supply high and prices low. If Iran and the US went to war, you can kiss goodbye to that supply, and your prices will rocket through the roof. That in itself would have many, many other reprecussions since oil is vital for the petrochemical industry. That's one a few things preventing you from actually invading Iran. Attacking Iran would only create more instability in the area, and given the fragile state of Iraq's 'democracy', and of Afghanistan, that's really the last thing you want. Therefore, when put into some sort of real context, a war with Iran is the last thing you want.
