"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
I don't use cryptic messages to tell people exactly what I think of them. There's actually been psychological studies into this? I'm sorry, but what evidence would this be? Secondly, it is possible to show confidence without acting like a 'sensitive jerk', or whatever you call it. The confidence of being yourself, and feeling comfortable with it, would be one such example. squiggly321: You don't need advice, just reassurance. If it's what you want, go for it. Ask her how she feels about the status between you two, if you and her are both comfortable, ask her out. That simple. :P

Mario Kart Wii
New competition out. I'm stuck for shortcuts. I can only think of cutting across the grass in the opening U-turn, to the right of the Goombas. Around 2:02 for me. Rank 'A' performance. :D

My uncle is at a life threating situation
Yay let's challenge someones faith when they need it the most...jerk. Anyway, I wish your uncle to best of luck. Well said. I'm sorry to hear your uncle's going through such difficulty. I hope for his recovery from this condition and my thoughts are with you. As others have said, a burst vessel in the brain would usually indicate some sort of stroke, which may have caused the heart attack.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
Might not get me many girlfriends, but otherwise what exactly is wrong in being a 'nice guy'? I'd find such a person more pleasant company than an ego-maniac who just can't get enough of himself. It's important to remember getting a girlfriend isn't the be all and end all of life. Not unless you take an incredibly simplistic view anyway.

Mc's Blog - 95 Farming
Liar. [hide=]You cannot possibly achieve the goal of proving I twisted and distorted the truth in the third-person's context without some sort of visual, verifiable and reliable forensic evidence, such as an image recorded by a forceful press of the 'Prt Scr' button on your English keyboard. (I was going to go to bed, but I got distracted by this ;)) ~Mr G Warrior[/hide]

R Kelly Is Acquitted over Sex Tape
Oh please. That's what they all say. If he's been found innocent, then have faith he's innocent. You don't know any better. I like this attitude of 'celebrities always get off the hook', when everyone has the prejudice to assume they're as guilty as sin in the first place without trial. Quite contradictory.

Dynamic Signature Discussion
Not a bad idea, but I'd be more leaned towards putting it in the location section of the mini profiles, with perhaps a drop down menu in the user profiles.

Spread the knowledge, share your ideas
And what possible qualification would anyone who spends their time browsing the Tip.It Forums have to comment on the development of nanotechnology over the next ten years? If an expert made an educated guess, it still be exactly that - a guess. This is pointless speculation.

Fur, right or wrong?
Irony, hitting you like a brick wall. :wall: Abyssalwhip, showing us a nice picture of a bleeding animal just isn't an argument. How the animal is killed in frankly irrelevant from where I'm standing. You either don't agree with animals being killed for this purpose, or you think it's acceptable. Surely, the fact is an animal has been killed. The hunting of endangered species is a valid reason for not agreeing with fur hunting overall, which is exactly the reason I'm anti-fur-hunting. I certainly wouldn't class myself as an animal rights protester though... oh God no. :?

The Origins of Shoop Da Whoop-Question Answered
Sink this low? Lol, we already got people talking about /cake/ in lightning chat, i believe /cake/ would surely be lower than shoop da whoop lmao I'm almost afraid to ask, but what is this "/cake/" you speak of? *Makes note to self: "Start modding Lightning again..."*

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
You love this girl so much, you'll ask someone else out while she's considering your future together? Add to that, this other girl isn't exactly the most secure about her emotions at this point either. You sir, are the epitome of self-centred apathy.

New Forum Bugs - July 1st, 2008, 8:10 pm (UTC +10hr)
That doesn't add up. :? ... I'm actually being pointed at my posts in a thread in Forum Games. :| ... For that matter, I think it is miscounting how many posts I have in that single thread. I seriously DO NOT remember putting 297 posts in just that thread alone. ~D. V. Devnull Do you have any proof you haven't? Disproof based only on a complete guess as to how much you've actually posted isn't disproof at all. Likewise I can't believe I'd posted some 100 posts in the relationship advice sticky in Off-Topic, but I have to presume that since I go there so often, it's likely I actually have.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
To me, it sounds like you've not given her much advice at all, and your judgement seems to be exaggerated because of your feelings for her. You seem to be purposefully looking for bad sides to this guy - there must surely be some good in him that you're not seeing when they're alone with each other? As for him ignoring her... I'm sceptical about too. The idyllic man she describes is someone who would remove those teenage insecurities and constantly reinforce that message, instead of trying to let her develop a confidence from within. It could be something as simple as he couldn't text her because he was busy - it's more than plausible your friend's overreacting to something that's totally benign. I gotta go for Chem exam so I can't go into much depth but, you need to relax a bit. At the moment, you're just coming across with this attitude of 'You should have chose me, not him. Serves you right'. Maybe you can't see that, but I'm certainly getting that impression. Well, maybe you'll have that chance later on. If things are really as bad as you say they are, they'll split up. Just hear her out when she needs someone to talk to, and describe what you honestly feel. You can't tell her who she should and should not go out with, though.

The return of Muffin Maddy
I bet that girl that's standing next to you while you're fishing and screaming "I like to.. fish!" was just sat there at her desk thinking: " :? WTF?" Good luck with the cooking goal though. ;)

Cant login
Unfortunately, Forum.Tip.It has had to be 'rolled back' about 2 1/2 months. Therefore, the data in the current database is the data was there 2 1/2 months ago, not the data that was there when Forum.Tip.It went down last week. As N_Odie says, if your account was created between then and now, your account will no longer exist. Alternatively, check your password. Your password will be the one you had 2 1/2 months ago, NOT the one you had when Forum.Tip.It had to be closed. Failing that, ask an admin, but appreciate they have lots of work to go through right now, so a reply may not be given instantly.

Slayer exp for swarming turoth and Mightiest Turoth (done)
The 10 exp is due to their HP value, not an additional award. Each of the four 'boss' monsters do give more experience though. I just never recorded how much since I was in the midst of a Slayer assignment as it was.

The Video Games & Consoles Index
I'm more than happy to take over responsiblity for the Mario Kart Wii Thread if its original creator no longer can. I'm hardly going away from Tip.It anytime soon, so I'll be able to keep the tournament updated, if not actually organising it.

This will take a while
The skins and general presentation of the forum I'm sure will be fixed once the current bugs and tweaks have been ironed out. This isn't the end result - it doesn't even have the Tip.It logo, and the smilies are all missing. Most importantly, my compass has gone... >:( Patience is a virtue. After what happened, be thankful we have anything at all...

New Forum Bugs - July 1st, 2008, 8:10 pm (UTC +10hr)
We don't actually work on the forums - we're only responsible for the main site. But thanks. :) It's the admins you want to thank for working near enough around the clock to get things to the (albeit, compromised) state that we're in. They've really worked hard, so cut them some slack. Bare in mind they've lost 3 months of hard work thanks to this data loss. It takes a lot to have the motivation to rebuild something that's been taken away from you like that. For those who don't like things as they are - see what this place is like a few weeks, and see if you still dislike it, I won't question your decision to move away. Give things a chance to work out, though. If the smilies are annoying you, tick the little box below the box you write your post in.

The new low of rape
It's sick, but there's no 'degree' of rape. All cases of rape are low. To say this is a new low implies the other cases are somehow not as bad. This bit I can't see logic in though: If the common argument is retribution, then this doesn't warrent the death penalty. No one's been killed. In all honesty, they'd experience more hardship from their in-mates when they know why they're in there than any form of exucution ever would. Rapists are treat with absolutely no respect in jails...

Islam: The Religion of Muslims
Indeed Phantom. It amazes me personally when you and other Christians seem to have been the ones avoiding the generalisation here... honestly some of the comments I've seen not just on this thread, but especially the other thread about Muslims have been disgusting. You wouldn't brand all homosexuals as acting in a particular way, or all women, or all whites... so what the hell makes it justified to believe all Muslims act the same way because of one book that was written over a 1,000 years ago? Even I as an Athiest wouldn't have the audacity to do that to all Chrisitians, or any religion for that matter.
