TBH, there were a thousand and one quotes from that game that would have been more meaningful.

UEFA Champions League/Cup - Euro 2008 - Leagues & Cups
The churned up areas of the pitch were clearly outside the markings left after the NFL game. Frankly, I've seen better pitches in park football. It was absolutely atrocious.

The UK government loses 25m records.
I'm sorry but I feel a need to question you here. What exactly could either Brown or Darling have done to ensure this didn't happen? Likewise, they appoint people, who are payed bucket-loads of money, to ensure this doesn't happen. As for "answering" to the problems, he's ordered an investigation into why this was allowed to happen. We'll await the results of that report and see what action he takes before jumping to hasty conclusions. Are you seriously suggesting Brown's job is to keep an eye on every single person (and there are thousands) who work in an office related to government? The Tories won't profit from this either. All this will do in undermine the already fragile confidence the public have in our political system. I'm amazed you, as a BNP supporter, don't realise that the only people who take advantage from this politically are radical parties such as yourself.

The UK government loses 25m records.
The title is incredibly unfair. There were protocols in place to ensure that this sort of thing didn't happen. It is simply down to the ignorance of an individual that this happened. I cannot believe someone would have the incompetance to send 25M people's records on a CD-ROM, unencrypted, through the post, not once, but THREE times. Wrong actually. That database contains not only the information about the children who the benefits are intended for, but their parent(s). Also, anyone that has claimed previously would be on there. It's actually nearer 15 million children currently. BTW, I receive EMA, and it says quite clearly EMA is not a form of child benefit. :wall:

Nice article, but... correct me if I'm wrong, most immigration from the British Isles to the Americas actually came from Ireland following the Great Potato Famine during the 1840s; and most in south-western Ireland (which was hit hardest by the Famine) certainly did not think about England. In fact, England was actually a magnet for immigration following the expansion of the Industrial Revolution, not a source of migrant workers. As another has said before me, I'm a bit... offended by your generalisation that the youth are ignorant of what their elders have to say. That may be true for some, or even most young people. But that is certainly not true for all. To use an example from History, Alexander didn't become 'Great' by ignoring the lessons Aristotle taught him during the start of his reign of Macedonia. The point of your article still remains true, however. People should always draw lessons from the experiences of those who have lived through them previously. That's how human knowledge develops.- [Ginger Warrior's Blog!]¢¢âš¬¦¢¢âš¬¦[90/99 Woodc

I sure hope to god that isn't a picture of you. :shame: And being 5"0', yes, of course I can dunk a basketball into a net that high. Jumping and stretching an additional twice my own size? With contemptuous ease. :- strike-out tag
I've seen this used for more sarcastic jokes on networking sites like Bebo and I have to say I love it. : As Sith says, not a vital need for the forum's existance, but certainly a nice addition. :)- Death by taser?
They may be less dangerous than real firearms, I'll acknowledge that, but here's a little something: Now, with fairness, the police had validly replied that the Taser itself was notthe cause of death, claiming it was actually death through "excited delirium". That's not, however, a medically-recognised condition, let alone a valid cause for death. The point I'm making isn't regarding the safety of the Taser. I'm more arguing about the behaviour and reaction of the police officers involved. From my own personal knowledge, there is absolutely no need to shoot a person more than once with a Taser gun. One charge is enough to render them incapable of resistance.- Mc's Blog - 95 Farming
I never had you down as the kind of man to train up his aps... :-w Congrats. :- Death by taser?
You can clearly hear the security guard on his way past telling the police he doesn't speak English, and speaks Russian. Didn't it occur to anyone of those policeman to get a translator? And then they accuse America of being trigger-happy. I mean, the justification behind this should be interesting. If it's been a few days, the police must surely have made a comment on it by now, Lionheart? TBH, I in the UK have heard absolutely nothing of this. The McCanns milked up their campaign again today, see... so they get front-page attention and everything.- Death by taser?
Was it just me who noticed two shots were fired? I've seen a demonstration of the Taser on the Chief Constable of Greater Manchester, and it only took one shot in the back of the neck before he rolling about on the floor, completely apprehended and incapable. So why two shots? :-k- [Ginger Warrior's Blog!]¢¢âš¬¦¢¢âš¬¦[90/99 Woodc

Sums it up nicely for me. They wouldn't treat a doctor, or a lawyer, or a politician with such contempt. Why do the rules change because they're merely check-in assistants? It's not merely because of their job, it's because they are severely understaffed. That's no excuse for spitting and being rude but it's a far cry from discriminatory behaviour based merely on job discription. I disagree. The NHS in the UK is severely understaffed, but you'd never dream of spitting or booing at a doctor as they walk past your bed because you're waiting another 30mins in A&E because of it. I understand the fact they were understaffed is a factor in explaining the que's reaction, but it's certainly not the cause. The fact still remains that there is deep prejudice about the jobs people have in soceity.- Booing as woman dies in queue

Reminds me, I need to add a note to its Bestiary entry. They seemed to obstruct my pathway... I couldn't run past them which is kinda wierd.
