Clearly you haven't studied French, or you'd know it actually means "town". :-k

Mechscape - the new Jagex game
Those other Tip.It websites are all side-projects of Silverion's as far as I know. I, along with the rest of the Crew, certainly only have responsibilities over the RuneScape area, so I've no idea about the other Tip.It websites out there really. There's already been a Wikipedia entry made for it. I just had to edit it. I'll be called in to run the "MechScape" portal now. :wall: This won't be a patch on RuneScape IMHO. People will choose medievil RPGs over space RPGs anyday. If they wanted a space game, they'd go for Halo. RPGs are just a lot more suited to the Middle Ages.

Monday Poll: What's your Favorite f2p city?
For your information, unless this cheat used 10,000 different IP addresses (incredibly unlikely), there is no way to cheat the vote. If you don't want to stay on this "stupid forum", don't let the door hit you on the way out. Noone's keeping you here. Personally, I voted for Tip.It city (Edgeville).

BOSTON RED SOX: 2007 WORLD CHAMPIONS
... So they're still World Champions then aren't they? Since noone else plays it, there'd be no competition.

No levels gained today, and I doubt I'll get any today. I have about 20 pages worth of history coursework to do in about two days. :XD: I did get this though from Rune Monkey :D

rule 11 - is it really beneficial to RuneScape?
I personally don't agree with many viewpoints on this thread. The idea that a website unrelated to RS is any more safer to you and your computer than an RS-related site. Advertising sites like MySpace and Youtube is probbly more dangerous in the sense you can provide a real life picture of yourself. We have that rule on the Tip.It forums for a good reason, and I've seen a few people on BlogScape and the Gallery fall foul of it. My solution would be to advocate the three main respected fansites (in order of popularity, RuneHQ, Zybez, and Tip.It). That way, players could have an alternative source of information, and go there in the knowledge they're not about to download any malicious software. Yes, it's favouritism, but surely it's more effective at protecting RS players than this rule?

BOSTON RED SOX: 2007 WORLD CHAMPIONS
I saw your sig before on Video Games & Consoles and I knew you were gonna be posting a topic. I waited for ya. :P I stayed up until about 1:30. I think it was bottom of the 3rd when I had to go off. You kinda had a feeling straight from the first Red Sox double hit things were going against the Rockies. BTW, was it just be who noticed the three bum notes by the singer during the Star Spangled Banner? She's was truly awful IMO. :-k

Super Smash Bros. Brawl Discussion Thread!
I just realised Kratos from Tales of Symphonia's in that fake. Wooo! Please, please, please Nintendo! =P~ This will secure Nintendo's place in the next-gen wars for sure, along with Galaxy. PS3's dead in the water and 360's dropping off...

Evidently not. Also, that boot is in touch. In fact, noone's even debating whether he got it down first or not; we all know he got the ball down after he is alleged to have gone into touch. You see churned up earth from his boots on the whitewash. It's really not hard to see he's in touch. If I of all people am agreeing with Bubsa on something, that really speaks volumes, trust me. On the same day The Sun publishes extracts of his new book... do I smell hypocracy here? Yes... I think I do. Course, the fact he's moving to a tax haven would have nothing to do with it. :shame:

Questions should end in question marks. Ok grammer Nazi. Sure you don't mean "Punctuation Nazi"? He might, since grammar isn't his strong side ;D (he wrote grammer) Clearly English isn't yours, since "grammer" is actually a bad spelling, not bad grammar.

Best Clan Chat
I've no idea where you got that idea from. To be honest, I don't know many "old schoolers" that go into that chat at all. The chat is dominated by low-mid levels. I'm certainly not an ̮̩̉̉lite player, or an old school player, yet I get a warm welcome whenever I come in. Needless to say, being a mod of the channel, Lightning. Otherwise, it's like me saying I prefer submitting corrections to RuneHQ than helping out at Tip.It TBH.

UNoffical Tip It Clan Chat! Join Channel: Lightning
Excellent points. I think you'll find most of the clan chat mods will give warnings. I, for example, am highly intolerable of 'leetspeak', but I'll give warnings out before I kick people for the heck of it, since most of the poeple who use it are using it in a sarcastic way and are usually pleasent and contributing members of the chat. Kicking and banning is always the last resort for a moderator - just look at your Tip.It mods. They'd rather edit out the bad posts, than lock and kill the discussion altogether. There was an example yesterday though when a racist comment was made, and the user was rightly kicked straight away. That's not an abuse of power at all; that's actually enforcing the law of the land in most developed countries. There are other mods, like Deal, who are more than happy to let the dialog be more "chatty". I have to admit, I prefer it that way. The chat's doing well, IMHO, now that the level of users has reached a level where text isn't rolling off the screen and moderating becomes realistic. Work with us, we'll work with you. If you think something's a bit controversial, don't say it. It's simple, and the chat is a much happier place when people abide by that principle. :D

Tip.it Times Presents: Reasons to hate Jagex!
It's a great article that does look at the wider picture from Jagex's perspective, and for that, I commend the author. However, I'm also going to have to accuse you of not looking at the wider picture for players. I think you've generalised a bit too much here. Jagex didn't make a stand against "bots" with the shop update. They took a stance against bots who specifically buy goods from a store. That shop update hasn't done anything about the flax pickers, the dragon bone collectors, and yew/willow tree cutters, and the lobbie catchers which simply bank their goods, and then drop onto a main account. I think we have to be a tiny bit realistic aboit the whole bot problem. Yes, the levels of bot activity on RS are shockingly high. However, people seem to have gotten on this mass crusade to wipe out bots from the game altogether, and I'm sorry but that's just idealistic. WoW is hit by macroers too, and they've taken a much different approach - one which I think Jagex could draw inspiration from. Cheating in one form of another will always exist, so long as there are people willing to use bots, and buy (using real world cash or RS gold) from bot users (inadvertently or not). Aside from that point though, a very good article. Congrats! :D

Just my two pence, but wouldn't it be easier to use the gold rocks at the north-west of Karamja, wearing the gloves from the achievement diary with the Customs boat and teletabs to Ardougne if you're gonna bank? I dunno really. Anyways. Good luck. :)
