  1. There's a place bigger than the universe. The Parallel universe, where Pidgey's rule the roost :P
  2. I had every suspicion they would heavily dock McLaren because F1 in particular is so keen to stamp out any corruption in the game, especially since F1 is a multi-billion dollar industry. That fine would actually have bankrupted any team other than McLaren or Ferrari, which kinda gives an impression of its scale. I had no suspicion however that they were going to punish this gold little British new driver. Can you imagine what the tabloids would make of it? Indi500 has really taken off, at F1's expense mostly. With Hamilton they're finall starting to get fans back into the game. Why would they wanna lose that when they have a rivel competition that's growing - fast? TBH, this punishment is a punishment all teams should follow. If there are any corrupt deals, punish the teams heavily. that's the only way they'll ever learn. Same goes for sports like football, where diving is seen almost as acceptable. It's cheating - it needs to be stamped out.
  3. Yeah but Young Link won't be in the new one by the looks of things. So maybe that theory dones't hold true this time. What's happened to Ness anyway? I know he was about as much use as a hole in a wall, but I wanna know. Doing the training thingie where you had to use his PK Hammer to blast him upwards was fun. :P
  4. Bush is an idiot, yes, but there is no way a country can realistically survive without Income Tax and maintain a high quality public service. Then again, Americans aren't as fussed about state-funded public servives as we Brits are, so, maybe they could have done, but only at the severe cut back of public funding.
  5. Even though that kind of regenration existed WAY before Marx came along, and was actually used most effectively by the Fascist Nazis? That was (mostly) a sarcastic remark. A few months ago I was having pretty much the same discussion with some American students and the moment I suggested that the state might have to be the one that provides the jobs and invests the money, they all thought I was talking about communism. The bottom line is that this level of government interference in the economy seems to scare a lot of Americans, even if it is necessary to pull out of a recession. Ahh, thanks for clearing that up. It's a very state-involved process, I'll agree, but it's certainly not a left-wing ideology.
  6. RS is mainly aimed at teenagers, yet everyone in the top positions seems to be in their twenties or above. Stupid age limit on RuneScape! Seriously, Pok̮̩̉̉mon is actually aimed at a mixture of both Pok̮̩̉̉mon fans, like myself, who grew up watching the series and continue to play the games, and the 'lil kiddies everyone seems to think it was made for. things like EV training, natures, egg moves and all that would completely elude younger kiddies. These systems are in place so that older people can use the game to compete with, and this keeps them entertained. Pok̮̩̉̉mon may be a G rated game, but there's no way it can be said to be aimed at little kids. Especially considering little kids don't have money...
  7. War never has, nor ever will, recover a country's economy. I'm shocked someone from America would actually think it would, considering you were the victims of a desperate attack on Pearl Habour... Even though that kind of regenration existed WAY before Marx came along, and was actually used most effectively by the Fascist Nazis? State-funded regeneration does. It raised demand for labour, reducing unemployment, as well as providing a need for primary industries. these primary industries then need a transport system, so one's built, which creates jobs both in the transport sector and the building sector, which again, drives a need for iron, oil and other fuels. And so on, and so forth. War stretches an economy to the point where it eventually collpases in on itself. In fact, most modern day wars aren't won through military dominance, but through attrition and economic crisis. Trust me - your economy is what stops everyone else attacking America, not its military. Back on-topic though, I belive the US Dollar is actually becoming weaker. It's not just the Canadian and Australian Dollars that are becoming stronger against the US Dollar. I think the pound is now over twice as strong as the US Dollar. Either everyone else is becoming stronger (not likely), or the US Dollar is becoming weaker (very likely considering recent events).

  9. Where did I say I'd need a plane to destroy it?
  10. Azi, your life seems very complicated right now lol! At the end of the day, you don't really have power. It's their decision to break up if ever they do, so don't worry yourself silly about it. I know it's hard accepting that becuase you feel completely helpless and you just wanna help the both of them, but that's the way it is. Go out with your mates, play RS - just do anything that will keep your mind off this matter, because thinking too much about anything, espcially something as deeply emtional and complex as marriage and love, can make you go insane. From what I read, I think your mum just needs to let go and let your dad be whoever he wants to be. I'm sure he'd appreciate that, but if he doesn't, at least your mum tried to respect his wishes. A marriage doesn't last unless you allow the other person to be what they want to be (straight from Heroes that ;)). Otherwise, you're just a slave to the other person, and there's no real thrill in that at all.
  11. Ahh... the mind is a powerful muscle. The fact is you were desperate and wanted something - anything - to help relieve your pain. It was clear to you medicine or anything a physiologist could give you wasn't making it any better, so you turned to something that simply can't be questioned in your own mind. The fact it, if you feel something won't work, it usually won't, and the opposite also holds true. You gained confidence in the fact it might help you and you can't think of a reason it wouldn't. Therefore, your mind coulsn't question it, and you felt better for it. Simple.
  12. Commemorate 9/11 by building a tower equally as susceptable from attack as the original towers were. Genius. =D>
  13. I just put all of them as "Undead" when the update came out, since the story behind them made logical sense to label them as such. Over time, I realised people would hold us up for doing so. It was more to save time and get the profiles uploaded and released ASAP. Thanks for pointing this out though. I don't suggest we make a new catagory just for this, but I would recommend placing them under the "Animal" catagory to avoid confusion. I'll get round to doing this, along with putting up all the info about drops the Tip.It community has submitted as soon as I get time to do so. Remember there were 62 new monsters in this update. To put that into scale, there's usually only ever about 3 to a dozen new/edited monsters, so this is about ten times the size of what we're used to. It will take time before the information is perfect.
  14. Technically, we are not "stealing", since that arrow was property of Jagex when it was with the archer, and remains Jagex's property after the arrow has been alegedly 'stolen'. However, pedanticness aside, I see no problem in picking up someone else's arrows. If you come to a gentleman's agreement not to pick up each other's arrows, then fair enough, I have some sympathy for you because someone has gone back on their word, however, if you leave arrows on the floor, it's fair game. You have 60secs to pick up your arrows - that's easily more than enough time.
  15. Who amongst us who still plays RS "full-time" doesn't do one thing obsessively over and over again? All people with a 99 in anything have done so - are they the same as pures or Gold Farmers? The nature of two actions, and the motives behind them are not at all similar. Pures do it for fun, Gold Farmers do it to earn money. Those two motives are as polarised as you can get. It's basically like comparing chalk and cheese.
  16. LOL, I'll remember that about SSBB! It has NWC play so... I presume it's done by farcasted figures at the end of the year. Clearly the Wii is outselling the XBox, so the predict Wii will be on top by the end of this year? Because you're right, apparently 360 has still sold more units. Then again it's been out a year longer, so I dunno if they've taken that into consideration. :-k
  17. I'd be in the same place as I am now. I use staples and plastic wallets.
  18. What the...? *Steps away slowly*
  19. Ow you mean "Maddie"? Yeah, lol, don't even get me started on that. Your post is too true though. Something like 2 million people have now been displaced in Darfur, and then people expect the world to remember an attack over five years ago in which just (comparitively) 5,000 people died?
  20. The chaotic nature of this dungeon actually made it near impossible for our mapper to put the exact location of each individual monster on the map like in the other maps. So instead, a rough approximation was indicated using the colour scheme. It may very well be you won't find Zamorak monsters there, but IMHO, it's a not a significant distance from the truth for it to be redone, and it's accurate enough. I can't speak for the other two posts though... I'll leave that to other Crewbies that do know the answer.
  21. Terrorism = Communism? :? Secondly, why do people feel 9/11 was the first example of terrorism? If you believe that, then clearly you were blind to the past 200 years in Ireland. 9/11 didn't make Terrorism, nor was it even the first example of Islamic Fundamentalism. It was just the biggest example of it, but it certainly wasn't a precedent. And there is just no way you can compare Communism to Terrorism, unless what you meant by that was the feeling of paranoia (and I'm sorry, I genuinely feel it is paranoia) that struck the Western World and not the ideology itself.
  22. How is this new? We've always known that... What's important to remember is that most Muslims believe exactly the same as us though - he's a fundamentalist that shouldn't be listened to and should actually be ignored by the American media, not used to make some big story.
  23. Since it's the last stage, it'll probably be one of the last introduced. It was pretty lame is Melee, so I'm expecting something amazingly cool looking this time :) It wasn't meant to be cool just a basic simple level. I actually quite like it. It makes using guns much more deadly than they are usually. I doesn't need changing In my opinion. But I've been known to disagree with most. Not this time. Its very simplicity made it a beautiful stage to play on. No hiding behind walls using sneaky tactics, just a pure battle of skill and character.
  24. But this is the thing I have in the back of my head. I obviously remember Rememberance Day on 11th November, not through any sort of Nationalist pride (I happen to think we did terribly in the war), because of the way in which it did change the world. The destruction of the Nazi State opened the gate for Stalinist Sovietism. The bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki highlighted a new nuclear threat, and a new psychological warfare. The very fact that 60,000,000 people died, 26,000,000 of which being from one country, and the fact it lasted 6 years makes it world changing. Is 5,000 people dying in three coordinated attacks (i.e., not open state warfare), tragic as it obviously was, a world changing event? Sure, we have a new "War on Terror", but is that really world changing? In my opinion, no, it's just another area politicians fight over. It hasn't changed the world anywhere near as drastically as past Historical events such as the collpase of the Roman Empire, the Colonial Age or the World Wars have. I'm not disrespecting or shunning ay that does remember 9/11, I have the upmost respect for you for doing so, but I just question the viewpoint that it should be remembered like the two World Wars. To me, it's like comparing a mountain to a molehill.
  25. We don't do ceremonies. We don't even do them for our own terrorist attacks on the 7th July. Life moves on - the best way to show the terrorists you're still on top is to show them what they've done hasn't made any real effect on our psyche in the slightest`. Nor did we really do any minutes of silence. We remember it as just something in the backs of our heads, but we (or certainly I at least) don't do anything out of our way for it.
