Tip.it Times Presents: Realistic Games? No thanks.
I realise this was meant to be more comical, but still... That's actually explained in the storyline to Diamond and Pearl. It's basically meant to be representative of a boy's wild imagination when playing with toy soldiers. In the opening the SSBM, there's clearly a real hand that grabs hold of the Mario toy, after which it comes to life and starts 'fighting' other toys. No Tetris = no gaming industry. Tetris was the first ever game to actually consider contruction over demolition, everything before that had been a wild shoot-em-up and blow-everything-in-sight kinda game. This really helped attract a whole new kind of gamer to the market, and indeed launched Nintendo and the portable games console into the gaming world. I agree with the whole thing about RuneScape though. Hence why I'd never call it an RPG as opposed to an adventure game. :| P.S.: Give me your Super Smash Bros. Brawl friend code! You don't have to tell me your name but I just want the satisfaction of fighting the infamous Editor. :P

Animal Crossing 3
One of the things they were saying about the Wii was that it can stay in a permanant state online, even when turned "off" (on standby in reality) as opposed to the DS which only goes online when you tell it to. Maybe they're planning on incorparating that? As in, you and your mates could literally just waltz in to one another's towns without telling that dog to open the gate. Being able to leave messages, give presents, talk to their neighbours... stuff like that. Also, I can see the Wii remote being used to actually bring fishing and bug catching to life. In fact, far from being the series's weakest game, I think it's a perfect game for the Wii. :)

SSBB Tourny 2! *EVERYONE READ PAGE 6 POST 8*
That system should give you a chance to just test out the tournament's organisation and structure before jumping straight into the big thing, so that sounds like a good idea to me. And I'll post my Wii number thing when I next get on the Wii. Which should be after United vs. Chelsea finish. :P

some changes to help cut down on keylogger spammers
If only the American Government could be based on that. I could go into the finer irony of that comment, but I won't. :? As -devoted- said, mods can deal with things like this pretty well as it is. There's no need to place sanctions on everyone for an annoyance so small being commited by such a minute group of people.

SSBB Tourny 2! *EVERYONE READ PAGE 6 POST 8*
Off-topic slightly, but aren't the Nintendo official US forums closing down? I go on there if I need help with The GIMP (some truly inspirational tutorials there), and it has a message at the moment saying the NSider forums are gonna be removed from public display on Monday.

well, my MCAT scores are in...
Congrats! I hope I do as well on my UKCAT exam. It doesn't actually test medical knowledge, it tests clinical potential, but I think I'll do OK. Well done! And I'd give it over Xmas. Actually, what am I saying? I wouldn't give out at all, but if I were you, I'd give it out over Xmas. :P

Why do I get so nervous...
I know this sounds stupid, but don't revise too much. Obviously revise to a degree that you'll be able to recall any information you might require in the exam, but don't overly do it because it just gets the brain worrying. Half the fear of exams comes in the preparation, or the lack of it. Not many people are able to strike the right balance. As for the exam itself, take a bottle of water. Helps focus the brain the task it's being set to do, in this case, the exam, instead of the perceived dangers that might arise if you fail. In the actual exam, you just need to focus on what the papaer is actually asking you. I almost enter a dialog with the paper in my head just to keep my mind off things 'coz I also get really nervous and it's not like I really struggled last exam with my 3 As and a B at AS Level... Everyone gets nervous, it's just knowing how to deal with it. Music helps get ya amped up and confident for the exam, but it can also have the reverse effect of drawing out the fears and making you feel more unconfident if you feel you're not ready. So, that one depends on the person really.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl Discussion Thread!
What's this? A fighting beat-em-up on Nintendo containing Snake with a front cover that actually looks epic? This wasn't even imaginable 10 years ago! Jigglypuff's Double-Slap was about as violent as Ninty went. Iwata's performing miracles! :D

Super Smash Brothers Brawl Leaderboard
Nice idea -I'll join! But one slight problem. This has been tried with Mario Kart DS, Pok̮̩̉̉mon Diamon and Pearl... you name it, it's been tried. There's always been a real issue with honesty. How would you get round that? EDIT: Sowwy... me not reading the whole thread properly #-o And I've got nothing to do right now, and I really don't wanna go through that monster thread on Website U&C for my Crew duties today (it's Friday evening lol!), so I guess I'll GIMP up a background or something to that website. It'll probably be bad, I warn ya. ;)

avaiantese arent undead
Yeah. But the problem with an "Avianated" catagory is that dragons are also flying, so you'd have monsters fitting in two catagories which is kinda incongruent. My personal opinion is that they were never actually 'dead', so they can't be 'undead'. However, they possess bird-like features, so I'd be tempted to place them under "Animals". I'm kinda reluctant to make a whole new race of monsters for what is essentially only a dozen or so monsters. When the Tzhaar came out, for example, there was a distinct difference between them and other monsters in RuneScape, and there was a big enough number of them for a new catagory in their name to be justified. However, Aviansie can already fit in a couple of catagories, so I couldn't really justify making a new catagory.

Were the Atomic Attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki Justified?
Wow. Someone may have read up on the ending to the American-Japanese War but they sure haven't read up on one of the main factors that caused WWII in the first place, namely, the Treaty of Versailles. The whole of Europe (and the U.S., actually) forced Germany to accept peace on condition they had an army of a restricted size. It created a feeling of resentment amongst normal German citizens, and just gave Hitler a manifesto to get into power. Do you seriously think the Japanese, especially in the light you've portrayed them in, would have reacted much differently to you? Signing peace with a country in war-time isn't giving them a "slap on the wrist". As you said, collateral damage had already been inflicted on the Japanese infrastructure. They'd already lost enough. You could just as easily have pushed them into surrender through a coastal amphibious invasion than by dropping a bomb which literally frazzled thousands of innocents civilians on the spot. "Trading 80,000 lives"? What makes you think they were your lives to trade? They were innocent Japanese civlilians - what on earth makes you think you have a moral right to target them just because it will force them into surrender? And hardly any Americans would have died. Yes, Japanese soldiers literally threw themselves into suicide attempts with the sole purpose of taking someone else down, but surely isn't that what all soldiers in war are in effect doing? they're all dying for their own country, albeit in different ways. It was not America's right to decide that the death of 80,000 innocent lives in trade for the preservation of another imperialist country between you and the Soviet Union is the lesser of two evils. Don't pretend as though Japan appreciates you for dropping those bombs when there are still thousands of people even today suffering from the radiation released after those two bombs.

6 sixes in an over!
Happened in the last ODI World Cup a few months back, which is even more impressive. I believe it was a South African batter with a Dutch bowler if my memory serves me well. TBH, I'm not really too bothered about the Twenty20 stuff. It's all too random. At least ODI's require some slight element of strategy.

Item DB weight
Not all of them have a weight of 0.00KG. I believe that particular field was added after the database's inital release, and as such, wasn't researched by the researchers that compiled data for the database. Items such as this one have the weight data, because someone (me, namely in this case) has submitted said data. Once we receive information about the weights, we'll add them. Until then, there's not a lot we can really do about it. Thanks for mentioning this though. :)

Super Smash Bros. Brawl Discussion Thread!
Haha! Nah, it was won already when PlayStation made their one so high people couldn't physically afford it. Genius marketing move! Something tells me you guys are gonna start a Smash Bros Tourney when this comes out. If so, I'm in!

decisions for ways to make money f2p..
IMHO, you will never make a decent amount of cash on F2P. There are ways of doing it, but it's so much easier on P2P! You can carry on toiling on F2P, but you're only losing time to P2Pers, which actually puts you in a worse position.

Dealing with stress?
Going to a gym or taking just a 20 minute walk everyday to reflect on things is a great way to deal with stress. Gets happy hormones flowing through the blood again. :D Music's good. If something's widning you up and dragging your effort rate down, listen to something heavy. I listen to the Lostprophets (which is about as Heavy as I go!) when I'm feeling down, it just amps me up again ready to face whatever's bugging me. Going out with your mates makes you forget about the problem. Having a social life is a must in any scenario. If you feel you haven't got time to socialise - make time. It's better than mopping and getting dragged down by the weight of everything. That's all I can suggest really.

What's wrong with my parents?
I guess it depends on the person you talk to. Some people prefer to receive affection in the form of hugs and kisses - both in the sexual and caring way. Whilst some other prefer that affection and appretiation to be expressed in surprises or in actions, and some other will prefer it in actual words. Myabe you should try looking outside your parents' relationship in terms of just kissing and hugging. What about the actual stuff they say to each other? Does your Dad buy or Mum gifts a lot? Just things like that. If they've been together 25 years, I can't see how something is "wrong" with them.

Mother has sex with her 2 kids.
This whole issue really confuses me. From a genetic point of view, having sexual relationships with people from within your own family is obviously a stupid thing to do, since it limits the gene pool and leaves the species more susceptable to mass epidemics. But from a moral point of view, what exactly is wrong with it? I'm kinda with assassin. I wouldn't say this is immoral - what two people together do sexually in their own privacy is entirely their choice, so long as both are consenting etc.. While this does raise some more psychological questions over how the two boys were raised in the first place, I just can't really see how this is immoral, apart from if they were underaged.

Were the Atomic Attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki Justified?
The first one may have been justifed, considering it was still technically a state of war and Japan showed no signs of backing down. That may surprise many to hear that view, but I have to put that into context really. The death toll from the atomic bombs is dwarfed by the amount of deaths the RAF inflicted on innocent German citizens towards the end of the war. I'd be a hypocrite if I said it was wrong because so many people died, and I'd also be naÃÆÃâÃâïve since killing people and destroying a country's fighting spirit is kinda the whole point of war really. The second one is not justified in any sense though. Japan had already as good as surrendered. There was no need for them to use the second bomb - using innocent citizens as guinea pigs for new technology, even in a state of war, is just immoral and disgusting as far as I'm concerned, and that's not even considering the long-term health implications on the people affected by the bomb. As I said though, let's not get too carried away. The bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki were horrible, yes, but surely so is the death of 24,000,000 Russians? Yet no-one ever seems to get so emotional over that, even though they probably died in even more horrific circumstances than the Japanese did from Stalin's dictatorship. LOL, thanks KnightLite for pointing that out ;)

McLaren got pwned.
Because it's the team that gets him out there, does his strategy and makes his success possible, with input from the driver, of course. But I think it's pretty obvious that a team with a functioning relationship would succeed more often than not than a team without. No, I'm sorry. Hamilton is talking about his team mate as though he is Alonso's superior. I find that attitude, especially considering Hamilton is in his first year in F1 racing, to be frankly inappropriate. If he has feelings about the way Alonso is behaving, then he raises that with his team, not the international press. Second to that, from the way I look at things McLaren have treated Alonso second-rate to Hamilton. Alonso at the end of the day isn't there to win a Championship for McLaren, he's there to try and be the best F1 driver in the world. And then Hamilton complains when he tries to do exactly that by closing him off in the opening lap? What makes Hamilton think he has a right to go past Alonso anyway? I just find something about Hamilton that just makes me wanna cringe. His attitude has smelled of something in the past few weeks. I'm happy McLaren got fined this much. IMO, they got off lightly, so I agree with ya. But just because you give evidence doesn't make you exempt from the crime itself. If I was involved in a theft, and I gave evidence against the people I did that theft with, it doesn't mean I didn't do the theft in the first place. It's very noble the drivers gave evidence, but at the end of the day, they still gained an unfair advantage, and should be docked points to reflect this.

McLaren got pwned.
Just a point, but isn't this the Drivers Championship? Why shouldAlonso care more about McLaren than he does himself or Hamilton, especially when that team has just sacked him when he threatened to dub them into the police? IMHO, the issue over whether Hamilton or Alonso purposefully set out to get those documents is irrelevant. The team cheated - the team should be punished. There is no doubting the drivers gained an advantage from this espionage fiasco. So why haven't the drivers been docked points to make this field level again/ Or, come to think of it, why haven't the two of them just been thrown out of the championship since there's no way of knowing they would have won had all this not happened?
