  1. Did the checks myself, I save about $20, but I have to wait for shipping. I'll pay the twenty because a BB is 15min from me. Ordering my Monitor and webcam off Newegg, using an old monitor until then. Anyways, thanks for the help everyone, kind of glad I didn't find a fix, that $1235 laptop was not worth it.
  2. Nevermind, I returned the laptop... Getting this now http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Asus+-+Essentio+Desktop+/+Intel%26%23174%3B+Core%26%23153%3B+i7+Processor+/+8GB+Memory+/+1TB+Hard+Drive/2634096.p?id=1218341074379&skuId=2634096
  3. I would bot the skills I hate and play legit as normal A list of things I would bot Fishing Mining Runecrafting Hunter Agility Thieving Naturally those skills, pretty much all of them, don't require money to train, RC needing a little starting cash, and others needing tools, but generally those don't take anything to level up. Skills that cost money to train in a realistic manner, I would make the money for myself. I would then proceed to bot the grinding of the skills with the money I didn't bot. Such as Crafting hides Fletching arrows Smithing bars Making tables etc. None of these are fun for me, I like the end result, not the journey there.
  4. I know someone who did that and they had the police knocking at their door. I don't really think they read the appeal themselves, more so the evidence involved. Well hey, sometimes that might be worth an unban! hah. And I don't think theyr ead them either, but I think if certain words get used I.E. "Kill, Bot", etc., a flag gets raised.
  5. It sucks, because I got muted for constantly typing "box 'x'm logdotzip" at the duel arena, a common practice, and when this was explained to them, my appeal was denied and I will have that mark for an entire year. Maybe I would have had better luck if I simply told them to go f**k themselves. Probably would have been accepted. By the way, another way to get out of most mutes / bans is saying you'll kill yourself if it doesn't get appealed. They next to always appeal it in that case, as well as link you to suicide prevention websites, and then say something along the lines of "You cannot use this as an excuse again"
  6. It's sad that I'm not excited about this. Mostly because since it's a member's loyalty type of thing, I doubt it will be TOO useful to begin with. Just the feeling I have.
  7. Yeah there's no saying if RWTers are good or bad IRL, I just meant they could be either, but if they're bad, it isn't necessarily because of selling gold.
  8. You're right, I absolutely value each and every skill in this game less than I do real money, as do my friends who are in need of it. I don't see RWTers as bad people at all, they're NOT bad people, they just understand that $100 is going to get them further than, oh, I don't know, ~230m
  9. It is bad and not just because Jagex says so. Gp plays an important function in this game, someone with a large gp pile can easily gain nearly half the skillcapes in the game, and generally speaking, skills become faster when you have more money to throw around on equipment and supplies(maxed combat and slayer with overloads for instance) Right and I fail to see how that's necessarily bad. It's unfortunate but it's true that money = privilege and the way it stands currently, the same rule applies in RS. I would still rather the current system over any proposed micro-transactions, for the sake of my friends, and because if Jagex did sell gold, far more people would buy it over the current amount. I'm sure plenty of people would buy gold if it was legal/encouraged over how many do now, currently being illegal Plus, Jagex can create gold, current RWTers just move it around. Can anyone say inflation?
  10. I would rather the current sitch, because while I personally don't break rules or RWT, I have friends that sell gold, who are in desperate situations IRL, and are able to make an easy billion or two a week on RS, and this nets them some IRL financial stability. Having Jagex sell gold eliminates this. And as far as I am concerned, the only reason RWT is bad is because Jagex said it is, so just keep that in mind before some of you go all judgmental mode
  11. I'm glad it's not allowed still, technically Then gold prices would plummet and a lot of my good friends would be making far less money off their staking earnings. Three of my friends have new cars, amongst other purchases, thanks to Jagex's lack of giving a s**t. It's like free money out of nowhere. I say no against tip.it encouraging botting and such for the above reason, not because I care about the rules and morals attached to them.
  12. I voted yes and I wouldn't change my vote. I love Free Trade. I also love this brand new laptop.
  13. I won 19 in a row one day, all pretty low value stakes, but turned 300m into a divine in about 2 hours, back when divine was 1.2 nice job
  14. Honestly haven't a clue when it comes to stuff like this, but maybe this will be of some service, as I don't see any way to turn off Optimus
  15. well I had gone through windows built in driver udpater, which ma have been the problem. But theyre up to date now. deleting the cache did nothing for me. it is a fairly new graphics card, they may not have tested rs on it yet. but as of now the problem is still unresolved
  16. Anyone else have any clue, or a place I could ask instead?
  17. Unfortunately even updating the driver did nothing for me
  18. Only happens with the interfaces / menus, I would assume if it was loose cables it would affect more than that. I know this has to be fixable, I just don't know where to begin looking.
  19. You could just make a new account for the low-end levels. The tutorial has been removed so you spawn in Lumbridge right after you create your character.
  20. That's just it, that is what's wrong with it. The game world itself is fine. The menus and a few icons are the problems. Resizing / Everything mentioned above didn't help at all. GPU-Z
