I know it's obvious, but I'll just say, click that link at your own discretion, I don't know what it links to.

Wouldn't be surprised if this was their way of making less people stake

At the same time the SoF was unannounced, and these items were seeing drops prior to it's introduction to the game, so if anything, it may add to the already dropping item prices, but isn't solely responsible for it.

my peak

Yeah nothing is 100% confirmed, but my resources are extremely reliable, and there is very strong visual evidence to support this claim

Why are you always so condescending lol

Yes, but Jagex is notorious for saying one thing and doing another. I'm led to believe that their intentions were to have the item's price change as it's true value did, but for whatever reason, they forgot to or didn't do it properly.

So I'm sure a few of you have noticed the recent trend the boss armors/items have been following the last week or so; continuous dropping... From what I understand, most are trying to associate the drops with panic selling or decline of use/rise in output of said items. I recently heard something that made much more sense and is probably the reason for some inflated item prices. A friend of mine who is in the PvM clan, OTG, recently informed me that one of their high-ups recently had a discussion on the HLF on how Coinshared items were and are handled in the Grand Exchange, and supposedly a JMod made some changes to it recently. If you know anything about Coinshare, you'll know that when you get a split on an item, you get it's minimum G.E. price divided by the number of people on the team eligible to split. Whether or not the item was sold to someone yet, the players still got their cash immediately. CSed items were put on the G.E. for the item's current medium price. This essentially caused the game to experience mild deflation, always necessary for older MMOs to keep the currency valuable. The problem though, is that those items that were placed on the G.E. at medium price; their price wasn't updated when the item's price did. So it would basically get stuck on the Grand Exchange at that price until someone, for whatever reason, tried to buy it at that price. That was the item's peak, the highest point it ever hit while on the G.E. Since most people would of course buy it for lower, this meant a lot of Boss drops were stuck on the G.E. since Coinshare came out. Remember when an Armadyl hilt went for close to 150 million? That was it's peak. A lot of hilts got stuck at that price, and since the price of hilts never went higher, they got stuck waiting to be bought for around 150, but never were due to it only dropping in price from there. It's a main reason that Divines were so rarely seen initially; they weren't buyable back during the old G.E.'s trade limit restrictions. Divines and other rare boss items were coming into the game, but NO ONE was capable of getting them. Now that you can, within reason, offer any amount of gold for an item, you'll notice that sometimes you'll buy a certain amount of an item for a very specific number, and if you keep trying to buy them, you'll eventually have to buy them slightly higher, at another consistant price; that's because you wiped out the stock on an item STUCK at that value. A member of OTG noticed this pattern and asked about it. Allegedly, the Coinshare drop system wasn't coded to update the medium prices of Coinshared items as the real price changed, so about a week ago, one of the game devs plucked out all of the items stuck at their peaks, and reput them in at their medium price (maybe not ALL of them), and recoded the Coinshare system to make their medium prices update correctly. What this means is that the drop in price in almost exclusively boss items we're seeing is the direct result of them being flooded into the game. There are armor pieces all the way back from when Coinshare came out only just now entering the market for availability. This is also the reason for the disparagement between things like Hilt price :: Godsword price and Sigil :: Shield, because most players buy the finished product, not the component. For an example, look at the prices of Divine/Elysian sigils. They were stable for months, only going down since the release of Ganodermic armor. Just recently, the Sigils dropped down to the price of the corresponding Spirit Shields. This is the supposed true reason for boss items dropping in value, not panic selling or TRUE increased supply. The main reason the Nex items didn't get hit by this as much was because they were introduced basically right around when Free Trade came out too, so they essentially dodged the "CS Wall" Anyways I just thought this was interesting, and as for discussion, I guess I could ask or suppose the possible repercussions to this change of CSed items. Thanks to my friend Heur/Ish and the other OTG guy for this.

I f****n knew it was stay-shuss -
I regret not getting a rank in a dice clan sooner with the gold I made staking. I thought it was a stupid idea, but looking back it would have been a worthwhile investment. Sorry, my gameplay focuses on money. I like having it.

prefer nothing had been changed, especially after so long, but if i had to choose, cap over reduced rate, and if i had to keep both, IMO rate shouldnt continue to go down as you have more effigies. stupid

14-Feb-2012 - TzHaar Quest, Minigame and Graphical Rework
Logdotzip replied to Saradomin_Mage's topic in General Discussion
got on first try, easier than expected, though i had torva and divine easiest way to down the last wave aka the boss is to stay in melee def / pray mage till head appears, use a magic crystal to boost ~50 magic levels, pray range and swithc to gano, SoA. STAY IN A CORNER THE WHOLE TIME. remain in the gano / range pray once you used the crystal since you'll have no range defence and youll get worked. killed the last boss in like 4 mins, constant 800 hits with SoA -

How much longer does anyone think pots will continue to rise for? Got all these during bot peak, ppots @ 3kea, rests @ 4kea, brews @ 6kea -
Maybe I'm not seeing something here, and that's entirely possible, but I don't understand how difficult it would be to teach a few well-versed RuneScape veterans when to delete a post or move a topic, or when not to do something. If your guidelines for moderation are changed so much that a Moderator who wasn't on 24/7 was out of the loop, then that, in my opinion, is something else that needs addressing. There ought to be clear cut and obvious rules which any player would know how to enforce, given the trust and power of the privilege to enforce it. I just happen to think the ones who (hopefully one day) are given such privilege are ones who know when to stop an argument, and when to see that it might just be someone crying that he got "mistreated" (read: Trolled) by someone else, and can handle it a little more quickly and quietly than other staff members do. Obviously I feel most who are active in the metagame subforum would be very good candidates for such a group, and if I recall correctly, this was something Das discussed last year when he still held some control over Tipit (Specific Board moderators that specialize in RS). I think it would make for a great addition... A group of moderators primarily dedicated to forum moderation AND A group of moderators dedicated to educating forum users about the game, and can step in when needed to solve small disputes quickly.
-
I don't even care if their powers are severely limited by comparison to real staff members, I think Tip.It desperately needs a member group who knows their stuff about RuneScape, can differentiate between sarcasm and trolling and idiocy, and will enforce things of that nature when applicable.
-
I don't see why a player can't focus primarily on helping with RuneScape stuff, and knowing its ins and outs, with moderation as a secondary perk they have and occasionally enforce, instead of always the other way around. I would love to see some staff members that play RuneScape more than they browse forums, but have the ability to take action if need be, on forums. Like I said I don't browse on Tip.It like I used to because of said actions back when, so I can't say that Staff handles criticism the way I used to see all the time. I suppose the simple fact that this wasn't removed without notice or that I wasn't sent a threatening message from staff about it already DOES mean it's shaped up a bit. And by handholding, I mean people's posts getting removed when they discuss things "not in the spirit", but also not against the rules, be it gambling, luring, etc. I can go to general discussion and handpick examples of posts discussing such things, but the moment I post about it under help and advice, with a clear connection to the topic at hand, it is removed extremely quickly. There have been many cases like this with other users as well. If you're going to allow words like shit, etc. On the forums, I would love to see staff continue on that trend and stop babying the forum members who can't bear the thought of discussing slightly touchy subjects, or at least be consistent with their allowance on specific boards.

Get the one made by Jagex specifically, works fine, no scams, though not amazingly helpful

I think it good that Tip.It perhaps enlist some new moderators, global mods, and admins for their website, focused mostly on RuneScape game related things, and less on forum upkeep and backend stuff. I'm sick of all the hand holding that goes on because someone gets told to shut up or because someone loses their bank from gambling or whatever. Sick of MOST staff seemingly not knowing shit about the game and dashing down people who, albeit sarcastic and sometimes fiesty, know their stuff. I used to be very active on this forum until some odd months back when most Tip.It staff showed true face with their power-abusing tendencies, especially during the altercations with the Meta-Community (XP Waste members, specifically). Since that point I have used this forum far less frequently as a result of a lot of Staff running the forums ass-backwards, providing no actual help regarding RuneScape and more than anything acting like a Parent On-duty or something comparable to that. Most of them can't take criticism and are quick to silence users they consider problems, even if those users have legitimate concerns or complaints. I would love to see some players who have proven their worth on the game that are filled with helpful game info running forums applicable to that, and keep the mommy and daddy type warnings at bay. Unless much has changed since like, last may or so, this is a huge issue I have with a lot of staff. Now there are some exceptions, they're not all terrible, I am not an authority hater, but holy shit, there are some ignorant staff members. I feel like we may as well have Mods from World of Warcraft forums overseeing these forums.

I remember tipit had like a 20 or 30 page discussion on this i think the last thread came down to morals vs being better personally if someone tries to crash me, i compete for a little until i either tire of it and prefer better k/ph, or if they're better than i am on the flip side, if I see a level 107 soloing bandos, yeah; that world is mine now it's nothing personal when i steal resources or a spot, it's just competition

http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Sabbot ^ New dwarf chathead looks pretty nice

I think this set was meant, not what was shown above These however have been around much longer than that new black set, and IMO the black set looks closer to how these other released sets look, style-wise, I think perhaps the black set shown will be the real style, while the rune set shown here may get a new overhaul (Perhaps keeping the helms look though)

Not sure if this was already posted, the black armour that's gonna come out
