In other news... The Chaos Elemental has taken up residence in a new multi-combat cave in deep wilderness. Untradeable potions such as extremes and overloads will be permitted inside the cave, and as a result, player-vs-player combat is disabled while inside. All boosted stats will be reset to your original level when leaving the cave. Not that I want that, but it's as simple as that.

Therell still be buy limits, better be. You know some rich troll will buy fire runes for 500ea.... and hell try to buy like.... a s***load Tie up the offers

While I can appreciate your enthusiam, all the currently existing threads discuss everything mentioned here. You'd be better off discussing them in those. However, for the sake of contributing... Makes me wonder if they'll add a looting option to clan wars.

Kid's got jokes I don't even think someone like you could begin to fathom the concept of an easy PK with contrast to today's and yesteryear's wild. I PKed maybe TWICE in the old wild. And I got beat down. I never made a dime. Our current form of PKing has come out. Back when it was 26king and you could killing the same guy over and over, and you could just throw on protect item to no longer be risking. I made probably close to 100 million gp from this current PVP system. 100 million I would have never made with the old system. And I bet you more than anything, a lot of the tricks were from people just like me; people who couldn't actually PK for s***, but were smart enough to do tricks and make money we didn't deserve. I'm not ashamed to say I exploited the system, considering it was almost encouraged to do so, and considering it was stated to not be against the rules. THAT'S EASY PKING. And with that being said, I look forward to PKing once again requiring you to be a PKer. People may have killed someone for a glory in the old wild, but hey, back then, when you killed someone with a glory, you got a glory. Now you get a VLS and Ancient statuette. At ~20m, that's the most expensive glory I have ever seen looted.

Even if every single "yes" voter, voted on EIGHT different accounts each, if they could only vote ONE TIME, PERIOD, the amount of yes's would still be higher than the amount of no's. So enough of that excuse please.

It's not that one will replace the other, it's that now we will have both. Jagex have not shown us that they can deal with the bots now, how could they possibly deal with more bots when this update goes through? Judging by what they said they just had a breakthrough in the last month or so with bot technology. I understand people not wanting to read what they say though considering they're too busy worrying about how terrible runescape is going to become. Or it would be based on knowing that Jagex's word in the past has been far from reliable in terms of bots? If you doubt Jagex's word, how can you believe them when you say they have been successful in any previous curbing of bot activity? Sounds like selective hearing to me. WITHOUT A DOUBT there will be more bots in game after this. The problem is there will always be bots, and if the total sum of bots + new bots isn't high enough to affect the icnreased levels of contentment from the update, then it's a good update. I can take a few more bots if it means I can help my friends out or actually get that Bandos loot.

Actually you should go to Rimmington yews in a f2p world and count the bots. DEFINITELY MORE THAN IN 2007. I went to Rimmington yews (which happens to be my favourite Yew cutting spot) in a f2p world and counted none. ...you have an obvious bot (is obvious) in your flippin signature. Don't tell me you don't see bots.

holy crap, this is the exact reason it was great when some of the pking types left the game. stupid and annoying trolls once again run rampant. I don't understand why people have the ability to spot a troll, yet they feed him anyway. If you are truly annoyed by trolls then stop giving them so much to feed off of by whining all day. The difference between a troll and a "not too smart person", is that a troll is typically an educated person, who tried to get a rise out of you by throwing logical fallacies at you, or just by trying to make you angry in general. How foolish could you possibly be? As far as I am concerned, if you have multiple accounts you play on, you have a right to vote on each one, because this update will affect each one. Like Will said, for those who don't support the update, they are more than welcome to vote no multiple times. If there was any rule saying it was one vote per person, in lieu of account, maybe your argument would hold some form of validity. Fortunately for all the reasonable people, it does not. That being said, I have voted three times.

If there's going to be a dung requirement, it's probably going to be 70, to tie in with all the other boss requirements in the dungeon. Keep in mind, any brand new players to the game will eventually get to Godwars and this Boss will have been there "the entire time" to them. There's no guarantee this boss will be *phenomenally* harder than the other 4. There's hope, but there's no guarantee. But yeah, 70 dung if at all is probable.

Yes but that's unrealistic thinking In regards to removal of the GE and surviving before it, yeah, obviously we all lived without the GE (well a lot of us), but in the same regard, it made things far more convenient. I could survive without it again, but my god, I would throw a FIT if I have to go back to spending a half hour to sell slayer loot from the day in lieu of doing it passively while I continue slaying. It won't get removed though.

Staking is going to be f***** due to accounts with hacked crazy stats due to being reset for purposefully botting. Going to see some interesting staker builds if they utilize stat resets

i recall the rares market being extremely volatile at some times in w2 falador. I was trying to buy a santa for 23m when most were selling for 23.5. so i left for 20 mins. i came back people were buying santas for 26m and no one was selling. People catch on that if they just choose not to sell their items, people *will* have to offer more. They see the offers around them and follow suit. Now maybe this won't happen due to the lack of a mass of people, when using the GE, but Im worried for those who cant just throw money at an item because theyre rich. a lot of offers used to be made by looking at similar offers around them in falador park. that aspect might be missing when free trade is reinstated. im gonna feel bad for players who are uncertain of an items rough price and keep in an offer that has no shot in hell of being completed.

I'd honestly weigh them both as equally possible. /b/ is typically brutal honesty, with a touch of psychotic. Jagex is just known for its deceptiveness and secrecy I'll look into it more myself.

I don't know if it was mentioned already, and I haven't personally looked into it myself, but sources (/b/ lol) tell me that the Guinness page has a competition which has a deadline of Jan. 15th, one day after the wilderness "poll"'s deadline. Now I know they said it wasn't related to Guinness, but hey, it's easy to lie. Anyone else know much about that?

Maybe this and the strange power are linked together. Maybe whatever is at the very bottom of Daemonheim is related to this. Maybe the frozen door is going to contain a randomly generated dungeon for parties to explore. a long and twisting cavern that travels underground all the way from Godwars, to the pit of Daemonheim [/wild speculation]

You obviously seem oblivious to junk trading. Junk has a value. 10b of junk is worth 7,5-9b market price, so you wouldn't actually be trading disk for ely. After trade restrictions are gone, junk will be.... junk(without any real monetary value). Likewise, you're obviously oblivious to the question I'm trying to ask. What I said was, since junk is going to literally be junk shortly, it would be in someone's best interest to get rid of their currently high street priced items, with their junk, and buy items currently potential junk (read: Ely), since by doing that, when the update hits, you'll have an ely that you bought with all your junk, and whoever was dense enough to take it now has all your old junk, and you have an actual sellable item. Why don't you think a little before you start to brandish the assumption hammer.

So basically, if you have a disk and an ungodly amount of junk to equal the trade, get an Ely with it while you still can? Obviously applying to other street value items as well

Since there's a max cash limit, I imagine the higher tier rares will only be tradeable for spirit shards, which will always have a vaue of 25gp each and are sellable.back to pet shop owners. Like maybe blue phat will only sell for 200m spirit shards, aka 5 bil. That will be one of the only ways to circumvent max cash.
