Now obviously anything at this point would be speculation, but in the December BTS, Jagex plans on adding Damage Soaking to various armor pieces in game. The way they worded it, this will be different from Damage Reduction, A-La Divine and Elysian (Note the obvious omission of the two shields where they discuss it in the BTS). However, I still see this affecting prices / street of both shields regardless. Keep in mind, the somewhat difficult to obtain Dungeoneering shields have only 7% and 14% soaks on them, so I don't imagine the soaking they'll be adding to existing armor will be too high, unless they add new gear. Any speculations on Divine and Ely?

Depends on your Hunter level, but Carrion And Draconic are good ones. God ones may be the best WHEN you catch them, but you catch them far less frequently than the aforementioned.

The Prayer restore is negligible / unreliable, it also slows you down with whip hits, which will be better for damage. EE spec helps time OVLS, for the reason mentioned above. It also means you risk less if you don't use SGS. If I had SGS, I would still take EE over it.

I don't imagine you would need more than 500 casts of Ice Barrage, depends on world pop of course. IIRC cannon decays after around 25 minutes. Just replace it to restart the decay process. I would bring something along the lines of 3 Brew, 2 Rest, 3 Brew, 3 Rest, repeating. If you don't plan on safespotting, but freezing, there is still opportunity for error, and it leaves you vulnerable to Supreme as well, if you're more towards the middle of the room. If you're planning on running out of Supremes range, then you would probably be safespotting Rex to begin with. If you've got your cannon going, I imagine broad bolts would be fine, and save you a fair bit of cash. If money isn't a concern, I would be using diamonds as it were. Elsewise I would cut out a brew and bring an additional overload. Looks fine after that. OH AND, I HIGHLY suggest using an EE / Elite EE. It helps time when you should redose with your overload, and it can save you some food. Nothing worse than brewing to 1150 and then noticing your overload JUST wore off.

How about.... You just can't start out combat on players with a spec weapon... Need to do 1 - 3 attacks (WITH THE SAME WEAPON, to prevent dart use) before you can use the special. Would upset a few pkers but would make far more happy.

Combat is all I used to do. Combat junkie. Recently I have taken up skilling, and for whatever reason, I went from abhorring it, to absolutely loving it. In fact, the last bit of combat I did was simply to get the Shilo 75 points task done for the Karamja diary. Just spread out your time over multiple skills, and *everything* becomes less boring.

Realistically speaking though, most PKers or PvMers typically won't be in Max mage, and when it comes to that, sometimes dhide and a little luck nullifies the distance advantage. But I mostly agree

Of course he is, the guy is devil's advocate, when is the last time he *didn't* go against the grain? Same one who strikes down proven xp / gp rates. OT, the start of my soon to be enormous collection... I love these potions. Especially the mining ones. Woodcut, Fishing, Mining, Farming, in that order. I have plenty of the herbs, just shy on a few vines, since I had to pot for Draconics, etc.

TIF has become posting grounds for the game's Zarfots. And I honestly don't mind it. There's a difference between rude and honest, and while some players ARE rude, generally it's just talk of the best way to do something.
