Shall I withdraw my offers for Mithril Dragon masks then? I put them in 2 seconds after an update, and they havn't changed in price for close to 3 days now I believe. I was gonna sell them both + cash for a Divine, but someone in here earlier said Dragon Masks are crashing.

It's pretty marginal and not worth the huge disadvantage you get from sacrificing defense. Bandos's ranged defense is 1 more than Barrows. Lol. I already agreed with you about Frosts, DK's and Bandos. And if you're using Bandos at TD's youre doing something wrong. It's +1 each, and As far as I can tell, that makes it better in terms of ranged defense. You also lack any prayer or strength bonus using barrows, which adds up heftily over time. And to bring up aesthetics only, you look so much hotter with Bandos. I see you fail to recognize anything regarding proselyte and prayer wasted deflecting melee. The point of this thread was to say Bandos has no real amazing uses, and already it's better for Slayer, which encompasses most PvM, and for bosses, with Barrows *situationally* being better. I could just as easily say Bandos is situationally better in PVP for the KO potential. And yeah, Bandos would probably be a better choice over Torags at TDS, neither being the best choice.

I never thought this would happen...

I never thought I'd still be playing this after almost 10 years of playing -
If you can afford to use bandos and turmoil tasks to begin with, you can afford to use 1 - 2 extra potions per trip, and you absolutely make over 400k per hour. Bandos is best at DKS for it's higher range defence than Torags, Prayer and Strength bonus. DKS, TDS, and Bandos all benefit from using the gear, and those are arguably the most profitable bosses to kill that you can melee. It's also top to use at Frosts, which is probably the best guaranteed profit in game. Bandos also still has quite excellent melee defence, so consider that in Proselyte you'd have to spend extra Prayer Points Deflecting Melee. I really don't see the argument here.

The only time I die is when my net disagrees with me. Spam click brews = survival, pretty much anywhere and everywhere. Therefore I risk my best s*** all the time. I didn't used to though. It's like some people have said, the better your gear, the less chance you'll die. Bring that glory to save that fury? Sure. But that fury could have kept you from dying when you brought the glory instead.

This will either make (even more) or break (extremely slightly) people's true thoughts on the Spirit Shields. It's stupid because it won't be any different from how they used to work, but people will finally see visible results, and it'll either boost their prices further (for no reason), or make them a teensy less (for no reason).

Floors 1 - 15, and probably higher, shouldn't require any food at all, apart from what's on the table, unless you're soloing. As far as I am concerned, anything done that doesn't need to be done to complete the floor with every room opened is a waste.

Wow, Red Phats. I wonder what Frost/Mith goes for. And if you got a Red Hat, you could downgrade to Green or even Yellow and then trade that for Divine. It would be a free whatever it takes to upgrade Yellow/Green to Red. It's actually only Steels and Irons that are that high, apparently. I would trade for divine simply because I could not afford the shield and a Phat lol
-
So apparently Iron / Steel dragon masks are going for Red partyhats. I wonder how hard the masks are to snipe, better hit this before they're too common. I'd trade it right off for a Divine, honestly.

Anyone want the set for trade? They're of no use to me nvm friend nabbed them sorry then

These worth anything? Rather easy to get on the GE

So, for NPC's that drop both 3's and 4's IE metals, do they all have the same drop rate per tier? Like would an iron have the same chance to drop a 4 as a steel? I doubt anyone knows for sure but I am was curious over this. Makes me wonder... If hypothetically the chance of any clue at all from irons and steels was 1 in 150. But with irons you have a 1:100 for the 4, and a 1:50 for the 3. And with steels you have 1:70 for the 4, and a one 1:80 for the 3. Do you guys think that's how it works?
-
I did a trip to steels, got 4 level 3 clues, none 4 yet. Upsetting, left all the 3's on the ground lol

With this update I've been splitting my tasks into 4 bits for levels 3's, meaning if I get a clue in the first 1/4th of the task, I'll finish the first 1/4th then bank, meaning at most I'll only do 4 level 3's per task. Whether or not I stick with that is yet to be determined. For level 4's I'll bank immediately.

Smells like RSOF in here

You would be wearing a Slayer Helm on task anyways, not a Battle Hood But we've strayed quite far off topic. Any clue as to if there's a new currency for Phats / SS's? Or is it still belonging to the unstable disks and pumps.

Seems the biggest argument those against crashing when needed keep bringing up is "Until you've tried all 100+ servers looking for an empty world then you're in the wrong" To that, I lol. I half expect one of you to say "Well maybe one world got free since you checked it last, better start the World Hopping over again"

Not so much: "If I want to be efficient, then I crash." but more: "It is now, in this situation, efficient to crash. I want to be efficient. Therefore I crash.". I'm glad you realize it's subjective. Not to make anyone angry, but sometimes it's annoying to hear about 'logical preferences'. It's not necessarily to efficient to crash. It would be much more efficient to just find an empty world. But more often than not, at most bosses, that's just not an available option. So I fail to see the logic in that. People, the people in this thread anyways, don't crash to be d***s, so it seems. They do it because it's the only readily available option at the time, and no one wants their familiar to lose out on it's timer, or sit around for xDScimPr0x to finish his Bandos solo in a D'hide top and Rune platelegs. I myself hop two or three times before I crash, because my trip won't suffer because I decide to let someone worse than me at something get drops I could be getting, regardless of who deserves them more. New stuff in bold. I was just correcting/improving sseli's argument, which had crashing as an example. Nitpicker :). Hardly nitpicking. You effectively change your entire statement by adding that simple "correction".

I don't see a point in spectral ss. I find dfs to even be more useful @ arma. Once you got good mage defence to at least 120+ than another 20+ shouldn't really kill you. I like the prayer bonus. i like the 0 range attack bonus (rather then -5) I like the purple. Eh but in all seriousness... my friend who remember his old pass from ages ago has like 2 partyhat sets and offered to sell me one of them. Which would I need to trade it simply for a divine?

summoning. How combat related is it really?
Logdotzip replied to vox1st's topic in General Discussion
I pretty much exclusively use Steel Titan on any task that's multi-combat, elsewise I use a yak to bank everything or for bosses. I honestly don't think I have used a single unicorn since Soulsplit came out. I don't even fill my yak when I use it for slayer, it's literally there for storing and banking loot. Food is pointless on every slayer task, and for DKS and TDS I brew anyways lol.
