Yes that's right. As long as you're engaged in combat, it will degrade. All parts too. Combat is defined as attacking an enemy and/or being attacked by an enemy. So it doesn't matter if the enemy can hit you or not, you're still in combat.

It probablly has normal essence in it already somehow. Pouches can only store 1 type of essence, and it'll give you that message when you try to store both types.

No, for the armours below rune, they only have (T) and (G). (T) is a lighter shade of trim than what the armour color is. (G) of course is gold.

I think it's more about time, place and the people around you. I was at a CW bank once, next to a guy with a red mask. I was wearing my Green party. Couple guys came over and complimented the guy with the red mask and talked about how cool it was and how rich he much be. They said nothing to me (not that I care).
