Protips from work.
If you want this locked, remember that it's a staff policy that a mod/admin can't respond to a lock request unless the entire first post is edited out. (With something like "Lock please") ;) And yeah, making a duplicate thread happens to everyone sometime it seems. :P

little help regaurding lockpicks.......
Sorry for the lock picking n00biness, but can't you just use a bump key for most of this?
-
Freshmen, how has your school been so far?
Not extreme, but that was still one big bump.

Ordering a new computer tonight... 1 question though.
Just a question, I thought there were a lot of compatibility issues with 64 bit Windows?

Don't know about you, but I think this might be about more or less the same thing as the thread "Work secrets". I could be wrong.

Worst thing you got caught doing at school!
I have very little to tell of myself but I can tell you, our school is far from perfect. A particular, rule-disregarding guy, who smoked (Illegally) nearly daily, found his own unique way of driving a teacher up the wall. And the funny thing is, for the joke to work, he had to be caught- Believe me, caught he was- but the nature of the joke prevented punishment. He smiled. At the teacher. For a constant, nerve wracking, 45 minute period. She went nuts, and made him report to the principle's office. See why he didn't get punished? ;) It doesn't seem so funny when I write it, it's usually only funny in practice.

Your first kiss
For some reason, I've been stuck around girls that want a guy like they want a hole in the head. It's really depressing. :(

MIT Breakthrough In Solar
If that happens in this case, I will seriousLy begin to doubt in the integrity and intellect of our governments. Only Bush (McCain) could be that incompetent.

Firefox.
Your settings, if configured correctly, should match these. Go to tools -> options and then the tab that's highlighted. Match your settings to those, make sure nothing about forum.tip.it is in "Exceptions", and it should work.

New sig (Paint.Net)
^ I wouldn't recommend fractals, they are very difficult to get right, and if used wrong, look awful.

New Siggy UPDATED WITH V3
V2 is a good improvement, keep it up.

New Siggy UPDATED WITH V3
I agree that it could use a little hue/saturation adjustment, but don't overkill or the guy will look orange. :P

Total Solar Eclipse In Europe & Asia - 01 August 2008
Well I do know that that was the last solar eclipse in Finland for 118 years. :( I hope I don't live long enough to see it, I'll be 132 years old.

Photoshop, GIMP, or Paint.NET?
Yeah, we're not talking about MSpaint, but about Paint.NET ( http://www.getpaint.net ). Completely different, supports transparency and has some filters. Also, I would not by any means consider MSpaint, PS, and GIMP equal.

Worst thing you got caught doing at school!
I love this thread, one of my favorites. Can't say I've been up to much more lately than posted on this thread. This was back when my posting style was attention-seeking and generally n00by.

loyal or go with the flow?
Loyal. I once went with the flow, which I am not suited to, and it got me into a huge mess, long story. Reminds me, on that test (Can't remember the name, something like "Key values") Loyalty and citizenship came up as #1.

Pixel Project: N_Odie's Sig *Updated a tad*
I really like it so far, but looking at the perspective there the guy in the far corner is a bit too big. And Julius, I didn't know you pixeled. :P

Photoshop, GIMP, or Paint.NET?
Yes, through X11. Probably something with my computer specs though, or my personal preferences as to how I like things to look and run. What, Mac users have to install X11 just to run GIMP? Wow. BTW Jopie you could run Paint.net through WINE, right? My opinion: 1. Gimp is just awesome. The user interface isn't exactly user friendly and hides a lot of stuff but I'm still discovering new features. 2. Paint.net would be awesome too if it actually had enough features. Otherwise it's ok for a basic editing job. Nothing I'd ever consider for a sig. 3. PS rocks also, but it costs money and a lot of that too. But there are some features I can't live without that I use all the time like smart filters, panorama automation, adjustment layers, and I suppose you could say that the fact that there are a lot of professional tutorials for it is a feature. Answer: The GIMP and PS, if you can afford it. Gimp does a very nice job of replacing it, but another thing I'd miss if I had to get rid of PS would be Bridge. It makes image organization so easy, and supports RAW (Specifically NEF) thumbnails which is indispensable for me as a photographer.
