Dungeoneering: Beyond the Release
Sounds pretty awesome actually, was a bit skeptical at first but it seems like all of these changes will only be beneficial.

How I lost my items - by scamming, dying and others

3rd Age/Spirit shields/Phats Discussion
How are masks looking atm? I gave one to my brother before free trade ended when they were 20-25m (and now I have no rares lol). Just wondering how much you guys think they will continue to go up.

The death of dungeoneering?
I am rather worried about what dwindling amounts of players, and further spreading throughout floors of those players, will bring for dungeoneering... However, I would say that as long as you pick the right team to join, the quality of players is actually a bit higher. There is still far too much apathy in dungeons... (players getting separated from team, obsessively clearing every room, standing around and waiting for other people to open doors and tell them where to go). But I've had a few fantastic teams too - had a team yesterday with 3 maxed players and 1 who was only missing 2 skills; 2 of them with 97 dungeoneering - the floor probably took less than 40 minutes.

DKS question
Don't mean to hijack thread, but with my 92 def, if i used bandos + DFS and overloads will i get shredded much by supreme as i will be praying mage. You should be okay. 92 defence isn't perfectly ideal, but it should work just fine with maxed gear and overloads. I use divine, which actually has quite a bit less range defence than DFS, and still don't get hit too often.

Maul, Longsword or Rapier?
What I'm really interested to know is how the rapier performs relative to the longsword at melee bosses, with a shield. (Bandos, zammy, kq, dks, kbd) Haven't seen many videos or data from people killing bosses with the rapier. I originally wanted the longsword for the boss killing ability, but I haven't really seen any conclusions that it is any better than rapier for bosses. I now use whip for every boss, so an improved whip seems like it might be preferable to a slower longsword (or not, hard to tell). The fact that the rapier owns for slayer is also very nice...

DKS question
Yes. That's what I've been doing recently. I wear bandos + sw cape, and switch between killing rex and supreme. I don't know how effective it will be without maxed melees and overloads though.

I fail
43.08k Balancing between the boss killing that I spend most of my time doing (not much exp) and then training skills the fastest way possible when I feel like it.

The Three Slayer Archetypes
Sick of people bringing cost into the discussion of what items are best >.>

Dying in RS
You can buy gravestones that last from the basic 1, up to 5 minutes. You can't get other people's stuff when they die - only bless the grave so that they can get their own stuff back.

[F2p] Curseing
I don't think you can get the required -65 magic bonus to splash every hit in f2p with a tomb of frost. Meaning your best bet would be to find somewhere with a lot of monsters (or possibly something with low enough stats that they restore the stat loss quickly, not exactly sure how it works on monsters).

Monkey Madness musing
Why not? There are tons of people who are maxed now. An update for them would give a group of players that is severely lacking in content an update, and give everyone else something to work for. They can't ignore the endgame forever.
-
Monkey Madness musing
No such thing as a hard quest. Period. Yes, I have max stats/gear/whatever... but there is just nothing that really challenges me in this game. Would love them to aim a quest that is actually difficult for someone like me - a level 699 boss might be hard for an average level 100... but not for high levels.

Zamorak spear VS LBS+Defender
You don't want to stab, you want to crush.
-
Why is it that (seemingly) all higher level players....
Just isn't worth it for me. (Also, DFS for slayer = autofail IMO)

Pures and GWD
No, I mean that they would have their own pure, and a main in the same way as I do. Yes, of course the would be allowed. You're just not allowed to benefit your own account, using another of your own accounts.
-
Pures and GWD
Finding someone else to do it would be account sharing.

Solo Bandos Guide
Can easily solo about 30 per trip now :P Maybe I'll make a new vid for your guide once I get a chaotic weapon.

Chaotic is better than Divine/Elysian
Ahahahahaha... Read --> 17-18-184-60989186 Evidently they don't even soak up the full 10 or 20% every time. When they say "up to 20%" they mean somewhere between 0% and 20%... so, these shields are really not very good at all.
-
= New Chaotic Items =
No because as far as people can tell there is a damage reduction on it and seemingly most other non spear weapons.
-
Dungeoneering 70 - 80 - 88
5:3 or 5:4 (small) or something is really not bad for the lower levels if you want some experience while rushing low floors. If not, you can always do 1:1 (pretty fast, no exp) or do like 5:1 or something and finish floors in 1 minute each.
-
Chaotic is better than Divine/Elysian
You can't use cost as an argument as to why one is better. If I really want an item because it is the best for something I will find a way to get it. As it turns out I got my divine on the GE when it was 3/5 of its current price. Am I going to sell it and get a chaotic shield? No - divine is better.
-
dragon hatchet
You can always sell it once you're done. So yes it's worth it. Even if it goes down in price a bit it's still a good deal.

how much does a ppot restore
I think max p pot restoration comes at level 96 or something, so yes they're the same, and I think 33 is right.
-
Chaotic is better than Divine/Elysian
There is just no way that chaotic comes anywhere close to touching divine in the places that divine is best used (aka where you take a lot of damage). To me, cost (to buy and to use) is irrelevant - I simply want whatever i best. There are almost no places where you are consistently taking 200+ damage to use the dungeoneering shields, and even where you do... you're better off reducing every hit. The increase in defense does not overcome the fact that you are reducing less damage, less frequently, from only certain combat types.
