  1. You should keep what your happiest with. If you prefered Veracs.... go back to it! Good luck.
  2. I just sold the top today for 28mill.... the price of the top alon seems to be running at 27-28. No idea about the rest.
  3. After i was only getting offers of 27mill and less I sold it at 28mill! Still fantastic though!
  4. OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!! forgot to print screen in the reward window but OMG! It's the first tiem I had ever seen a 3rd age range top..... and it's mine!
  5. I think they are all pretty good! Although not too fond of the agility one.... It just not say "agility" to me.
  6. Unusual stand point.... but I actually prefer the RS graphics to war craft. Sure WoW looks great.... I wont take that awey from them, but its's so very mainstream! eveything is trying to do that style and it's just so samey.... very boring. I personnally think the RS graphics are great, they need improvments in some areas..... but hey! they are doing them as we speak! The thing you have to remember you cant say "one is better than the other" as they are totaly differnt styles. RS is not trying to have better graphics than WoW it just wants to be the best it can in it's own style. It's like comparing a video player to a DVD.... you could spend hourse debating which one is best.... untill you realise the DVD wont work in the video player, and the video wont fit in the DVD.... they serve the same purpose but are diffent things at the end of the day.
  7. Dont lie..... it doesnt reflect well on you. We have very carfully worked out criteria.
  8. I would give them the potion. Sure if he was waring a rare you would take a minuite and think..... hummm! but they I would remember how I would feel and give it anyway :P
  9. Care to explain what the bug is? I seem to be a bit confused.
  10. The internet is a new medium for relationships, they are still in their early years and so as such..... They are not yet socially excepted as real relationships. People will often look down on having a friendship they have never met or seen. You have to ask though: at the end of the day what is the differnce between a penpal, and a RS friend? They equate to the same thing, although only one is accepted in society as a real relationship. There are some aspects of an online relationship that I am uncomfortable with though, and thats romantic relationships! whilst I do understand that they do happen and they can be real.... I can but help feel unhappy with them! the internet is just full of too many preditors. It's very possible to have full propper friendships with the people we meet online though, we should never forget real life as they fill some roles we just cant have online. But a RS friend can be a real and genuine friend.
  11. Thanks Pokemama, that clears up all copy law as far as i can see as far as tip.it is conserned. So it's just (I feel) bugs and suggestions that needs some wording change to be usable as wanted. skatedog111, I think you uinderstand what i am trying to say, but yes my wording is off..... I was always bad when it came to the wording! But just an important point: any video or printscreen you take of the game/forums/or website will always remain the property of Jagex, and they maintain copyright over it. Saying that..... if there was an image used on thsi site that Jagex feel breaches the terms and agreements of their site that reserve the righ to ask for it's immediate removal/change. This is why Youtube vids are somtimes taken down, and several times images used on this site are removed by jagex (usually via the image hosting companies). So although it was not what i ment.... in alot of situations that have the legal right to that anyway.
  12. Thanks, I edited the message.... I am running in widescreen so looked normal for me :P In terms of revoking a licence to use copywrite..... It has to be stated by the owner the terms or licenceing unless clearly stated otherwise by their posting location (for example on the offical forms). Your bit about adding : is almost there but it needs to state that the terms of licence is for an unlimited period with no right to remove. Jagex could not accept an idea that could be asked for removal after a period of time.... and it must be stated as such. It may be worth a sticky on bugs and suggestions with a line people could use that has been correctly worked out for legal statnding (even by getting it form jagex legal team). It sould also be stated that contributers to the thread and thus idea are also bound by the agreement by the thread author.
  13. I think you are miss understanting me totaly..... The bugs and suggestions forum, it's main purpose is so players can suggest content that they want Jagex to make.... under the current agreement players can suggest it, but Jagex cant use it..... this makes it a bit usless! It would be far better if the agreement was changed to Jagex can use the suggestions that players are making for the game. They will not have the right to edit items on the site at all..... you have miss read that. It needs to be worded better so Jagex can only use data from bugs and suggestions.... and so tip.it can use suggestion from all of it. When I say the right to edit change of remove content, I was refering to while its in thier (tip.its) use. Say an update is made, and a map needs changing, that line means they have permission from the creator to make changed to the map. rather than starting again. I am in no way suggesting anything that changing anything on the site, for any parties, all I am mearly stating is an addapion needs to be made to the terms and conditions so it can be used as tip.it intends it. What is the point of making runescape suggestions with 100's of supporters, and 1000's of views if Jagex cant use it? I will read over my opening post again to try and read it how you did..... but I though ti was clear.
  14. States in BTS that it's at the end of the month...... sorry! Add looks great though.
  15. Greetings and salutations! I wish to spend some time looking at the terms and conditions of these forms that need updateing to become more usefull for the player base. In particular I wish to focus on copyright! Most tipiters know of the RuneScape Bugs & Suggestions forum, here players often post suggestions for new content they wish to see used by Jagex on the offical site. However! does Jagex have the right to use them? sadly not! it was stated a while back to players that Jagex cannot use the suggestions posted on the fan site forums for Copyright reasons. If we take a look at the offical Terms+Conditions we find the following section: This basically states that because infomation is posted on the offical forums, or suggested via the message center/ingame, Jagex recive an unlimited licence to use an idea provided. It is however worth remembering that the copywrite will always remain property of the author. Jagex can use the ideas, becase they have a legal right to use them, but when it tome to the Tip.it terms and conditions for the forums we get: There is no mention of copyright, meaning that Jagex cannot use infomation, images, ideas, etc found on the site. Sadly this also refers to our suggestions forum meaning such things as the new bank layout suggestion, cannot be used unless Jagex start the ideas prosess form scratch. To a lesser extent it could also apply to player made guides etc, currently Tip.it do not have an unlimited licence to use the material and so as such, a player remains the right to demand for it's removal with no notice. whilst it would be apparent in any legal eyes that licence is granted by posting Tip,it updates onto this site it is not binding. The conditions for things such as tip.it times is working fine as it states that Tip,it will have the right toe edit, and use it at their discression, although to make the site more usefull for the players the topic of Jagex licenceing is I feel important. I would recomend and update to the terms and conditions stating that all material submitted to the tip.it forums is granted an unlimited licence to use for any purpose on http://www.tip.it, whilst remaining the right to remove, edit or change content. It also needs to be stated that Jagex LTD also is presented these rights, for the use of content on their site, forums, or game unless directly stated otherwise by the thread author/poster. To clear up already existing material on these forums a 28 day period should be offered to users to edit or remove content that they do not wish to be used by Jagex (although I am sure people wont do this). and it should also mention "tip.it reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of these forum with no prior warning" Disclaimer: To my best knowledge these terms of use are not already written anywhere on this site, if they are I fully appologise for beliveing otherwise.... and will go hand my head in shame :uhh:
  16. Well on you side, I do recognise that it may upset the players involved. I would personally prefer it if the Tip.it mods tryed to explain there position more in locking messages like this. It helps to not only educate the player and otehr readers but also helps to calm them down. Off topic but on at the same time (Yes I am crazy), currently where a thread is locked for spam, the locking reason is often as simple as "Spam = locked" or "dont spam".... it does not explain to the user why spam is bad, or even what spam is!.... alot of players have no idea about this and a few more seconds of explanation would do the world of good.
  17. I have a really important point to make...... legal stuff! Currently you posess the copywrite to this idea, and the terms and conditions of Tip.it does not state that there is any distribution of licencing by posting on the forums.... In short Jagex have no legal right to use you idea, it is your property.... to use this idea as written they need to have formal written permission from you. I suggest at the bottom of you post you add. Copywrite "The Gern" - Ideas and content licenced to Jagex Ltd, they are granted a non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide, royalty free worldwide license to use and/or modify such materials on www.runescape.com website as they see fit. All players submitting content on this thread are also posting under these terms and conditions. this will give Jagex a legal right to use the idea. Sadly it is one of the missing facts of theis forum..... Jagex cant use the ideas. It's still a great suggestion! and the new interface Jagex release means you can fit more buttons on now too. The important part of the Jagex site is:
  18. To be honest, it is problay like it is on the offical forums. A set of guidlines is layed down by mods/admin based on user feedback of how best to maintain the smooth running of the forum. I assume that they dont just lock a thread that they dont find usless..... I belive that they will not be able to share their procedures with us, as to what classes as usefull, but it almost definatly exists on such a long running forum.
  19. No the lizards are the things holding up the flames on the log in screen.
  20. The moderators have great experiance in what is and what is not helpfull, they have been there done that, got the rune stone. It is the role of the moderator to keep the forums running smoothly, somtimes threads that are "not bad" are sadly just cloging up valuble space where other more helpfull threads are found. When the guides are written for the site they are not just written and stuck up, they are tested.... added too... taken away from to provide the reader the best guide to the quest (although I feel they miss out too much lore). They are for that matter probaly more usefull than what new ones. The important thing is the smooth running of the forums as already said, and I feel the Tip.it moderators are doing a good job at that.
  21. If you want an honest answer.... i dotn know what law it is.... but it is out there somwhere.... it's more of an offical guidline than a set law but it equates to the same thing. And I want calling you or for that matter anybody you know imature..... I am sorry that you felt that way. I was speaking of the age group generally and the sections of people within it. I never mean for anything I write to mean offence to any perosn for any reason, it is just not who I am. I was speaking in a broad sence.
  22. I just want to bring this up again.... nobody seems to be understanding..... not for one minuite have I ever suggested a new rule of no exchange of personal infomation on this site. I undertand that is not going to happen, and strangly I like the extra freedom this site provides. But what I was suggesting, was to increase the level of security people have over who can and cannot get acsess to our data. Yes it is a shame to take away a good feature from the responsible players, but I feel the percentage of people who are not in full controle of their security is high enough to warrent the removal of the option. Again I state, people will still have the ability to share their infomation if they so wish..... but they will have to deal with people on a one on one level, they will know exactly who has acsess to data, the ability to say no is an important feature to have..... even un web savy people are more liekly to say no if they have the option. I hate to take things unto a personal level, but I feel in this case it's important..... You feel to totaly underestimate the level of niave players, and the amount of internet preditors we have out there. Personal infomation is not only dangerous to an account.... but it can also cause major issues in real life. I ahve heard of atleast 5 seperate incidences, where Runescape player have been sexually attacked and or kidnapped in real life by people they had given their personal infomation to. If I so wished I could probaly find a players real life details withing an hour or two of looking..... and yes there are enough interntet preditors in this game that make that an issue we should all be aware of. Runescape is a game packed full of younge vunrable people, the adverage tip.iter is slightly older, but the problem is still there. May I remind you technically all peopel under the age of 18 should be supervised at all times while useing the internt, as they are considered under law as not beeing mentaly mature enough to make desissions of this nature. I strongly care about the community no matter how nieave it happens to be.
  23. To be honest..... no yes it is fair. You broke enough rules that made Jagex feel the community would be a better place if you could not talk anymore.... Perm mutes are not handed out lightly, I know peopel who it's happned to and as of yet I have not know one person who did not deserve it. If there was a chance that yes ok.... have a go we trust you! your appeal would have been granted. It is Jagex opinion that they think you talking is a damaging thing.... why should they continue to be "fair".
  24. Thats gonna take some getting used to! I liek it though (I think)
  25. Haha, brand new computer, duel core processor..... top spec..... page wont load :(
