  1. Ever seen the Flight of the Conchords? If they weren't Kiwi's they wouldn't be half as funny.
  2. I love the Irish accent. Could listen to an Irishman for hours.
  3. I swear around my mates, you just do it and you don't realise. But I don't go around to the grandparents and start swearing.
  4. Not quite. Rugby League. Ah that's right, soccer is called football now. Sorry :). Yeh done it playing Rugby League ;)

I saw the first hour or two of the opening ceremony. Stunning. The drummers at the start blew my mind. Lots of rehearsals to do that. Amazing. But after a while I got a bit bored with it, everything was a metaphor for something and I just wanted the athletes to come in. I want Australia to carve up in the pool. They should :). And I'd like to watch all the sports that aren't normally on TV. I never get to see athletics, gymnastics, diving, high jump etc but they insist on showing swimming. The most monotonous sport.
  6. I was at marker in defence and starting running towards the attacking player. He stepped and I went to change direction back to my right and stepped off my left leg and my foot just dug into the dirt, locked up and ruptured it. Also torn the meniscis cartlidge on both sides of the knee so that locked my knee up and I couldn't bend or straighten it for about 2 months. Ah yes. That terrible, clicking sound. Sends shivers up my spine thinking about it.

Hey. Has anyone else here torn their ACL or any other ligaments? I did my ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) a little over a year ago playing football, and now I can't do any sports until I get my knee reconstruction, which will happen when I am fully grown. That could be in years. It is devastating that I will probably never play any sport seriously again. So, any injuries, OT?
  8. That's disgraceful. You need to sit your friends down and give them a stern talking to.
  9. I think the colours are fine, if they edited it in with the saem colour it would be harder to notice. But if some people skins make some colours difficult to see, then they can just bold the text.
  10. When I'm hungry I'll go for the crusts, but my sister normally eats them anyway.
  11. I sing, but even then I'm worried that neighbours will hear me or something.
  12. Aussie here, and I guess I'd vote for Obama, mainly because of all the media attention he has been getting. Whenever I flick on the news it is "Obama talks to the people of _____ - and McCain shook hands with some other person, but Obama done a really good speech!"
  13. Most likely. I wish I knew some really smart, eye opening quote - but sadly I don't.

I love them too. I am a fan of dry, sarcastic humour. And being Kiwi's their accent helps ;)

People are under some type of illusion that if they repeat 4chan memes on other sites, they will be considered 'cool'. Which is not the case, as they look like utter fools. :P People on tip.it do it at times, and I just look at their post and think to myself "Why...?" /b/ is not cool. Overused memes have killed /b/ and are coming to Tipit. Do you really think you want to be associated with /b/?
  16. The only compulsary subjects at my school are Maths and English. And there is different levels for subject so I'm not all that stressed. I am not going for an OP so I am doing all the easy subjects, and getting QCE points. Anywho, I do think they should stay compulsary, if you pick the right subject for your ability you'll be right. And if you are getting a trade, most trades require that you completed English and Maths, because they all help. If you're gonna be a sparky then you will need a fairly good level of Maths and English for communicational skills. And don't worry about being shy, when you enter the workforce you will get more confident.
  17. At my school there isn't many serious fights. Just little muck around hits and stuff. Nothing harmful. It toughens you up.
  18. My favourite Tipiter is Mlbfan. He hinted it in this post so I guess this post will make him feel better. I suppose this thread is a big ego boost for those mentioned heaps, even though I know most of them probably couldn't care less.
  19. I remember when we had topics like 'If you had to live with 5 Tipiters on an island, Who in OT would you sleep with, Who is going to be the most successful etc'. I quite liked those topics, in a way it brought the community together and it was a break from all the political, religious and help threads that OT normally had. It's good to have a break from these things with a positive topic.
  20. The Queenslanders - Warrior and darkrick.
  21. Boxers when I sleep. Jocks every other time.
  22. No. "Because I thought of it first!" "No I did!" etc You don't really have any proof of who had the idea first, so why go into all the politics?
  23. Wasting time on F2P = Wasting time on P2P. In the end, we play Runescape in our spare time to 'waste time'. Just that some choose to pay to waste their time while others don't
