  1. I really should give this an actual try, I only ever did it once, and that was only to complete the Karamja Diary (Kill a Ket-Zek). I died shortly after getting the achievement. Don't remember exactly what happened, something about running the wrong... Like I said I wasn't really trying.
  2. Independence day? Boo... I plan on celebrating a Merry Christmas in July today, and am much more excited about doing that. With that being said: [yt]B8cquBKf5jc[/yt]
  3. Ya know, I really do wonder how Jagex thought this was a good idea. "Oh yeah, let's introduce items worth large amounts of cash that can be traded in immediately and disappear afterward, effectively creating said pile of cash from nowhere." Jagex was aware of the inflation problem that, for example, high alching brought into the game, but they still thought putting what pretty much is pure cash into the game in large amounts was a good idea/replacement for items.
  4. [hide=][/hide] ^ | | Win. [hide=][/hide] ^ | | Much bigger win. :P
  5. I go to college in Minnesota, where I'm pretty sure fraternities/soroities are illegal. Something about 6/7 nonrelated people living in the same house being a brothel...
  6. So many people mentioning rollbacks, I have to tell my one rollback story. So, this was back in my non-member days, so I wasn't familiar with some of the items that could be brought over from member's to free (ie charcoal, etc.). Anyway, I ended up getting scammed into trading my precious rune long ( ) for something like a set of priest's robes. Anyway about 5 minutes later, I realized my mistake and was freaking out at my loss when, all of a sudden... Connection lost... So, I log back on a little while later and there I am, back with my rune long. I have no idea what the rollback was for, but I was very glad it happened. :P
  7. If her and her ex ended on a good note, that is, they simply decided to stop dating rather than "breaking up", then you have nothing to complain about. You can't dictate who she can and can't hang out with. You can let her know how you feel, but that's all. And not hearing texts? That happens all the time to me and my girlfriend. Turn down the jealousy a bit...
  8. I love hugs, though I don't usually give or get any because I know a lot of people are uncomfortable being touched. Banning contact altogether is most definitely the product of someone who hates being touched. I'm just glad that both me and my girlfriend love hugs so I get plenty of them when I'm around her as well as some of my other friends whom I know enjoy hugs.
  9. Canada is America too. :(
  10. I'm not joking. I did say my advise is for the more mature, and no it's not rape unless you have maturity issues and think it is. It's rape if the person considers it rape, or it is at least not something most people want to have happen to them. Don't play the "maturity" card either. Your techniques work for a certain type of people, but maturity is NOT your qualifier. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying your techniques are for the immature, but that you don't have a corner on the market of maturity.
  11. My advice? Don't listen to a word Dan just said, as well as anything else from his book or anything from "The Game". Things happen naturally over time without manipulation. You shouldn't manipulate your partner to get what you want in any situation. I suppose the things he recommends would be okay on rare occasions and for some people, but you don't sound like the kind of person who would have a girlfriend who would fall for such things. And if you do, don't listen to me. Just because someone is your girlfriend doesn't mean you have an automatic right to kiss them, as Dan appears to claim. If you want anything other than just a fooling around relationship and wish to have a real relationship, things take time and you can't rush it by trying to manipulate the situation. Big thing: communicate. Talk with your girlfriend about things, as much as you feel comfortable. If you don't feel comfortable talking about it, you're probably not ready to do it. If you aren't even holding hands, you might need to get more comfortable with each other. I'm not exactly sure how to get over that hurdle, I ended up holding hands with my girlfriend before we were officially dating. But even that was a build-up. I started by asking her if I could just see her hand, just so I could look at it, and that initiated contact, and it built from there. In general, I have two keys to a successful, real, relationship: 1) Communicate 2) Be genuine, and by that I mean go with what feels natural, you can't do something because someone tells you that's how or when you should do it.
  12. It's called her having a stable relationship. I highly recommend you try it. I am getting really sick of this The Game stuff, but whatever.
  13. I'm always in favor of trusting people, I'd say give her a chance. See how prom goes. A bad date at prom isn't the end of the world. Watch how she acts, if it seems like she runs off away from you to hang out with a bunch of other people at prom, things get more iffy. Right now I'd attribute her calmer texts as being more relaxed because she's more secure. She doesn't have to try as hard to get your attention. That's what happened to me and the girl I'm with now. We were crazy around each other until we started dating, and then relaxed when we both realized that the other liked us. So, my vote is go for it.
  14. Okay, so all this is really starting to disgust me. You guys are starting to treat women like prizes to be one, or big game to be hunted and taken down with the proper technique. Seriously, trying to get someone to break up with her boyfriend? That's low.
  15. I resent being called an AFC :P I happen to be in a stable relationship which formed of its own accord. If you're in it for fun, you're objectifying women, which is a problem of another sort. But this is really a discussion of what one considers the purpose of dating to be, which really doesn't belong in this topic, so I will stop. I'm just expressing my personal opinion that anyone looking for a relationship should not use these techniques.
  16. This all seems so... fake. I read the description of the book, and it seems like its just meant to teach you how to pick up girls using a bunch of tricks that you learn from a book. I know if I were a woman(and even as a man), I would prefer someone who approaches me honestly, not with some tips they picked up from a book. A relationship should be based on something more than smooth lines and fast talking. I am, however, interested to see how this book magically turns any person who reads it into someone who can pick up almost anyone, though I am completely turned off by the concept.
  17. Wait, what? Pre-release? Alara reborn came out two days ago... Anyway, recently I've been playing in a league with Alara set cards, with a dynamic of destroy lots and make big stuff. This league is fun, because the cards are free, but unfortunately we don't get to keep them.
  18. My guess is it's really just the writers making Hiro's power less powerful like they've done with every other character who does useful stuff. And he lost his power for a while, until Baby Parkman turned it back on, so maybe it's a side-effect of that. And that had to have been the worst idea ever, but it made for an awesome season finale. And you just know Sylar will be back again for next season, they'll have Matt's memory block break or something by some traumatic event or something.
  19. Average height of a U.S. male 20+: 176.3 cm (5' 9.4") Female: 162.2 cm (5' 3.8") Thank you Google. And she does look ridiculously thin in that picture, though looking at her arms you can kind of tell she's still of healthy weight.
  20. The problem is not understanding limits, I do that perfectly fine, thank you very much. (I've taken Calc I, II, and III, as well as DiffEq). Limits say that a function approaches a number, which it may or may not reach. In this case, though .999... may approach 1, it never reaches it. The difference between the two becomes infinitesimally small in a limit, and the limit is therefore 1, but that does not mean .999...=1 However, in any practical mathematical sense, such difference is irrelevant, as shown by the limit.
  21. The problem with that proof, fastortoise, is that you are equating a limit to a number, not a number to a number.
  22. I agree with soma's post me. It would indeed be a limit. The fractional proof does not work because decimals are never as precise as fractions. (.333... does not actually exist, it only represents something which does.)
  23. I get to stick my tongue out at you on the "consent to being slaughtered" point, as I don't necessarily advocate that. I'm vegetarian. :P Pets, hmm... Pets at this point have lives only because we give it to them. If they weren't pets, they would not likely survive.
  24. One problem with necrophilia, pedophilia, and even bestiality, is one of consent. A dead person cannot consent, children cannot consent, and animals cannot state their opinion on anything, let alone give consent to having sex.
