  1. It's the Gold Coast, too many toolies and [bleep]ers there in general even without Schoolies festivities happening. And the mix of partying and drunk teenage girls just brings out more. I personally didn't go to Schoolies (I live a half an hour north, to hell with paying inflated prices to stay down there) but I went 2 years later, just for some night stuff with my then graduating GF. We didn't stay long, like 2-3hrs max then went "bugger this" and left. Too many douches around the place to really make it enjoyable but I have to give credit to the organizers: they seem to be making it safer for registered Schoolies every year.
  2. I also think CEO's need a wage cap and it should probably be relative to the value of their company AND the predicted value of their company. No more sitting on multi-million dollar salaries twidiling their thumbs while stores are closing down, workers are being laid off and the company is collapsing around them.
  3. I thought you had the attache` case?
  4. This isn't the first time a company or person has gotten their arse handed to them because of spam. This is jut the largest fine, then again it also is the largest amount hit so far. No sympathy for him. He took the risk and lost.
  5. Unleaded is under $1/L for the first time a year... diesel is going alright, around the $1.2x-$1.3(<5) mark. That aside, my 4x4 gets more off-road use than on compared to most people... it's a bit o fa DD right now since my SO has no car and seems to think I need to buy her one  Anyhow... 4x4's are not a vehicle to haul kids around in, get a station wagon or minivan for that kind of thing.
  6. I'm not expecting it to be butchered but there's only one way to find out ...

    Cricket!

I believe it's the worst ODI collapse ever. Test match wise I still think Englands collapse at Adeliade Oval, 9/70, ranks up there with some of the worst. From memory the best, by ecconomy, would be the 3-wicket hauls/over with another in the next which usually seem to float around the 3 or 4/15-ish. Edit: I just checked, and the game which gave birth to the Ashes wasn't much worse (England collapsed 9/77). Edit 2: And just for reference, test match collapses seem to float around the <3-5>/ results when it comes to absolute worst based on ecconomy of the collapse.
  8. First impression makes me think it's from the CoD series... nfi on which one tho...
  9. BUMP - Just came back from it now and I thought the plot was a little thin, started out okay but it was just... well thin. I felt a little disapointed by it.
  10. mytics's is super mario galaxy; except it's out of turn :|
  11. I chose the point the finger at script writters swapping out villans/organizations for SPECTRE and breaking things. SMERSH, for example, is a prominate opposing force in the books but is mostly replaced by SPECTRE in the movies. And this really destroys the 'cold war' aspect for which Bond is later noted as being a relic of. Very few movies actually contest the KGB/USSR (I think it's 6?) the rest is going against SPECTRE or some other single figure.[/semi-rant]. For the most part i agree, but the structure of the books didn't help continuality either... so there's not much a studio can do when the books don't carry from one to the next very effectively either *shrug*
  12. You have to remember these prelued the rest of the movies right? This is when he was rough, raw and generally 'out of control' so you'll most likely only find him being sauve only when he really has to be and even then it will really be forced.
  13. Looks more like Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts :ohnoes:
  14. I havent' seen it yet but I'm slightly reminded of Electra King in terms of evil/bad. Her entire outlook on the pipeline was unethical and I'm sure that's only a few steps away from what said business guy would be prepared to do if he had to. Thoughts on that comparison?
  15. Protip #2: type the name of punctuation, then its symbol in brackets if required, when using it in a sentance in a manner other than it was intended for. Edit: And it's only one space after, which means you should've written your sentance as: Protip: a space after every comma or period.
  16. Rather easilly actually. I had no problems buying stuff when I was 18, and I didn't even have a job  Anyhow, my room as it is now... so much to fix (desk, cupboard doors, painting...)... fun times ahead, when I finally get enough money together for everything :ohnoes: [hide=mine] [/hide]
  17.
  18. LP_room.jpg /thread After I find my camera or the cable for my phone I'll take some new photos anyway.
  19. uniform is another thing that must go, it's so annoying, the shirts are heat magnets in summer -.- I have no problem with uniforms. a lot of valid 'pro' arguments compared to the repedative 'uniforms crush self-expression' which is all most people seem to be able to come up with. Anyhow, that's really a minor issue in the long run.
  20. Goodbye 75% of potential market. damn straight, I love BK *wants* :(
  21. Other than compulsary math, english and corporal punishment the only huge change would be a uniform syllabus across all states. I believe a swing towards creative thinking would be good but.. i dunno... subject dependant.
  22. Firstly... your resume should be typed and not hand written. That out of the way, I write in a mixture, sometimes I start printing then it merges into some offset mix of the two, it's a little strange really but meh.
  23. Good thing you weren't asking her on a date; Laura is with me :
