@dymed: The same thing came around when V and Red Bull came out. And back to the whole 'eat away your stomach lining' thing. That is BS. Your stomach acid is something around the 1-2 ph mark. Coke is up at 3-4. So unless your stomach somehow stops secreting the mucus to protect your stomach, nothing will be eating through it. Not from the inside of it anyways. The worst thing you can possibly get out of it would be Type 2 Diabetes.
  2. I'd go with the 6600GT out of those two. Mainly because I got a 9800pro and it seems to be a problem with some games :P Unless ATI just hates me :(

"Think of your teeth" :-? I've never had problems with drinking a lot of any drink. Maybe felt a bit bloated but that's about all :P
  4. Get another gig of RAM, otherwise BF2 will be a bit... ugh. And i'd also suggest Half-Life 2. as for video card, meh. Someelse can handle that :P

Can't say I've ever had a nightmare before. At least not one I can remember. Only nightmares I seem to remember are the ones where I tends to be why someone (or more) I know get killed. Doesn't matter what I do, they die. Reminds me a bit of a Stargate eppisode :-? *shrug*
  6. You many also have to disable RAID or something in your BIOS. Some motherboards treat SATA drives as RAID and will hence not pick them up during install. Can't remember the exact reason but it was something like that.
  7. I'd say have colour like the TIF has occasionally, ie: For the Runescape Clans Board Click Here! or whatever it is down in the Arenascape section. Just use the font tag with the color attribute to colour whatever is between them. Not overly hard to work out really ;)
  8. Truth. A 2x512MB Dual Channel kit performs better than a single 1GB stick. And I'm yet to have any problems with RAM breaking. They're not that brittle.
  9. Heh, why am I not suprised. I'll give them a few months to patch this one. Then another year to patch holes from last year which they just can't be arsed to fix since they're minor issues.
  10. You implied that the case wasn't worth worrying about. "Also, don't focus too much around the case, just make sure it can hold the mobo and then worry about ports." Ports (on the case) is hardly anything to worry about unless you're after front USB, wi-fi or whatnot. Everything else is covered by the motherboard. So when you cut out that logic, all that is left with is 'just make sure it can hold the mobo'. A lot of decent cases have front/top ports anyways (2 USB, wi-fi and headphones/mic jacks). The only thing which really varies is how many. I read it how you said it. It isn't my problem you [bleep]ed up the wording.
  11. Exactly. It wouldn't be hard. People are already stealing fingerprints as it is now. Getting the exact pattern of the iris and such wouldn't be hard either.
  12. Worked for me. And I highly doubt it will take the place of passwords.
  13. Werd to that. Overly nice or happy people bother me. Something has to bother them eventually and then they get all [bleep]y when you don't be sympathetic and you're all like "well you're always so bloody cheerfull how was i suposed to know" and they throw out some BS aboout being able to tell or whatnot. Sickening.
  14. By [web] standards I meant one of these: HTML 4.01 - Strict - Transitional - Frameset XHTML 1.0 - Strict - Transitional - Frameset You can use XHTML 2.0, however it is in draft form. By validate I mean that it returns zero errors when you put the page through the W3C Validator.

It's the A+ Certification exam. Basically you sit the exam for certain topics and then if you pass you are hence forth qualified under that division. So it kind of takes the place of actual experiece in a way. basically all I can suggest is going out and buying the A+ exam prep book and read it. There isn't much more you can possibly do other than learn the field you want to sit for more.
  16. yea, rizla posted in the irc a few nights ago. Amusing for a bit then it's just "meh" :-?
  17. Nice and clean. I'm just going to assume a bit more personal flare will find its way into the design eventually ;) Good result from 2 days of work. Even more so for the css-based design ;) Now all you need to do is pick a standard and validate to it in order to make it great ;)
  18. Meh thats the 3rd Mercifull immitator in like a month :-/ Mercifull on WoW is NOT me. If he talks like a pleb to you its because its a pleb behind the pc screen pretending to be me :( I think it's the same [bleep] who keeps coming back. Anyhow, Opposite sex being a plus is only really valid to heterosexual people. Seems like Merccy here doesn't consider anyone else to be worthy of a relationship if they don't follow that ideal...

Template or mess of Flash animations? It's a mess. Remove some of the pointless stuff and make it cleaner. I'll admit that I'm not a fan of flash websites but that one is just... ugh.
  20. Other than what Matt and Hannibal said: 1. Thread the photos to like 10 to a page or something. 2. Make headings and whatnot stand out more. 3. And the header makes the rest of the site look a bit dull. Lift up the rest of the site to the same level and it should be good. That's probably about it. Didn't take a good look at it.
  21. Aye, something like that is always fun. Only drawback is knowing both things in order to do it :P Also, knowing what language(s) you can/have to use is always usefull in narrowing the scope down.

I never made cars... i made cars that flew... ya the kids laughed at me... You mean like the car in 'Man with the golden gun'? Damn that was a nice car-plane. I'd be envious.

I've played it once and can hardly remember any of it. I should probably got find it again...
  24. @Katastrofen: Had any further problems with random shutdowns since you resized the swap file?
