  1. People who've done the quest giving real-time feedback will arguably be better than a guide. But beyond argument, people in-game running to where the next step is and saying "Over here, open this chest", and "Here, have some food for the next part" is much better than any guide. This isn't about the time he's actually saving, it's about the principles involved - his principles - and him going against them.
  2. Yeah, it makes as much sense as 'legit skilling' Agreed. For anyone who's saying this is being unrealstic, I agree! But it's Jebrim's yardstick for others, and by not upholding it for himself, he's coming across as a petty hypocrite.
  3. I don't have a problem with that. Jebrim does though which is why people are annoyed at the hypocrisy. It's no different to gathering 700 viewers and getting them (paid or not) to run essence for you during runecrafting, which he complained about people doing, and made the claim of being #2 to legit 99 RC, whilst being 20th or something on the scores...
  4. It's interesting the favouring FFA teams comment. This could be interpreted to mean it favours a team not using lootshare - ie 1 boss is better loot without using lootshare. It could also mean actual FFA teams, meaning the boss is worth more if only one person receives the drop. Perhaps the twist is one great drop for the person who gets the kill, & small ones spread out amongst the rest. The lootshare team only getting the one big drop minus the small ones. And if done well, the small ones will feature unique drops unobtainable from the big drop. PS Not sure if I've just rephrased Saradomin Mage above me, I didn't quite understand your last sentence.
  5. you know that's a good point. I wonder if this will have a big effect on the economy...I know in a way it will I just wonder how substantial and how quick we will or if we will notice it. Drop in the ocean.
  6. I agree about the donations thing. I don't really care about donations, but if he's going to be that fervent about external help - ie claiming other peoples 99 RC as illegitimate for their use of runners - I'll respond in kind.
  7. This just in - Jebrim is terrible at quests. It remains to be seen how this will affect the race.
  8. So word is Foot has given up on competing to be 1st to 99 all. Is this true? Or is this phase 1 in the master plan - phase 2 being rigging his tracking site to show him getting only meagre gains, lulling all competition into feeling they can move at a slower pace - quietly counting down the hours till maxed... Will Foot, armed with his tools of subterfuge, emerge victorious?
  9. Can't we have an update, I can't take the puns any langer.
  10. Elias is very religious you see, so can only spend a few months at a time doing trivial things like playing RS before he has to get... ... back2pray. Anyway, has anyone done time calculations in a while, I'm just wondering how many hours Jake has til 5b? Will he probably be aiming for 5.2b I assume? That was one of the lamest puns I've ever heard... ...and it was hilarious. I think we should find out more about Elvis's plans, so without further ado, a little less conversation, a little more action please Sorry, I didn't reElias that it bothered you I'm sure he was jake-a
  11. Maybe I've made a mistake, but I saw quite a few simple scripts that clearly break the 1:1 input:output rule. The greyness comes from absolute cursor positions, and using images to search for things in the game interface. I was not actually trying to insinuate that you support botting, and I'm not particurlarly invested in this debae, I was just stating there are illegal scripts on XPW. Even one of your posts contains a clearly not 1:1, and thusly illegal script. I did say that I wasn't suggesting they're endorsed by XPW, just present.
  12. That's not entirely accurate. A more realistic comparison would be the property owner running a couple of slot machines, and then outlawing all other forms of gambling whilst on his land. The property owner concurrently stigmatising said other forms of gambling. Not trying to start shit, but I had a look and there are quite a number of clearly illegal scripts on the XPW forums, and many more in quite a grey area. Though I think when there are posts talking about "normal distribution" and "undetectability", things are moving out of the grey and into the black. I'm not saying the scripts are in any way endorsed by XPW, but they're still present.
  13. That's pretty much what I was getting at. In a grind-based highscores system, he should definitely be up there.
  14. Merchanting long predates Zarfot. Buy low sell high is not exactly a revolutionary idea either.. Whether it requires intelligence or skill is debateable. However merchanting to 20 crackers & 2 party hat sets as pictured above certainly should be bestowed the same recognition as grinding to the upper ranks of the highscores - something which can in most cases without debate, be seen as not requiring skill nor intelligence.
  15. Definitely not just a penguin lying down?
  16. Those veracs stakes were pretty intense. Would be cool if the game gave some visual feedback when the set effect activates.
  17. Player mod surgery room. It's where they get their lobotomy.
  18. No need to "appease", I do not really care to be appeased. It's just a personal value of mine to be accurate, exact, and understand things fully. If you don't share it that's fine. take note of the timestamps lol I saw, you did respond to my post with it though, so... This has become a bit petty/personal, happy to take it to pm if you want.

  20. Except one statement is correct. The rate of a skill that the player is already maxed in will have no impact on the time left to max. It only impacts those who still have that skill left. That one persons hours are inflated does not imply that the others are deflated. You want to focus on there being a relative difference - so then just say that. Let's give an analogy as those tend to help explaining things... There's two cars on a road, car A and car B. Car A's speedometer overestimates its speed by 5 mph. Car B's speedometer accurately measures its speed. According to their speedometers, car A is travelling at 70 mph, and car B is travelling at 50 mph. Now we appreciate the speedometer is wrong, and car A is actually travelling at 65 mph - car A's speed is inflated by 5 mph, and the actual relative difference in speed between the two cars is 15 mph. Using your approach, you would interchangeably say that car B's speed is underestimated and is actually travelling at 55 mph, so to maintain the 15 mph relative difference. But in actual fact, the speeds are absolute, and you can't pick and choose whether one is moving faster or the other is moving slower, because they are absolute speeds. See how absurd this is yet? >I know I'm not right, and don't fully understand this, and can't win this argument >I'm going to excuse myself now because I'm too proud to accept the above, and don't want to be around when I have to accept I'm wrong >Look, aren't you being silly arguing about semantics, you should be ashamed, and poooof I'm gone!
  21. I'm not entirely sure of the gp/xp. Would depend entirely on how much you are paying for your runners. It has a raw cost of ~4 gp/xp to begin with. It's not a pointless semantical argument, there is a subtle, but non-trivial difference.
