Breastfeeding
I don't think legality should be brought up here, because it's not relevant. We're talking about common social etiquette, not the law (which is close but not always completely accurate). We've discussed drugs before - which are in fact illegal. Just because the law allows you to do so doesn't mean it is morally right. Anyways, hypothetically, say that it was legal to show porn to children. Is that really the best way to teach them about it?

Breastfeeding
I'm just saying that I can see how it is perceived as unpleasant to others. Is the best way to teach your kids about the birds and the bees, to have sex in front of your children? :shame: Edit: Looks like someone beat me to it.

Breastfeeding
No, I really don't mind at all. I like watching MA-rated cartoons, but if I had kids or elders in the room, I'd turn it off for their sake. (To be honest, I'd probably even give a second look. )

Patriotism and Nationalism
The thing is, it was not a legit victory. That's the whole point. Also, I didn't use the team as a representation of America. The team = me as an individual American. You don't seem to have grasped my analogy. I'm just saying that I'm getting more than I earned, and everyone else can see that, therefore it is quite embarrassing. And... if you really want to start on that argument, Americans aren't perfect. Our ancestors might have done a lot to help us, but what about all the times they screwed over others? Why should I be proud to have slave-master ancestors? Why should I be proud about having ancestors who kicked Native Americans off their own land?

Got black marks for offensive language - unfair!
It's offensive spam. You knew it has an offensive connotation. What else could it possibly imply? PS: Please, no one say something random like "angry quails pecking wildly". It won't be funny.

Breastfeeding
By saying it's a natural human thing, you're all forgetting that using the bathroom is also a natural thing. Should we just allow you to plop down and do your business wherever you want? Some people just feel uncomfortable about it, and I think others should respect that. I don't care if I see a lady breastfeeding, but I'm sure some people do and we all have to respect that.

Patriotism and Nationalism
I didn't know people knew my own feelings more than I did. : Okay. Let's bring this up again in the context of sportsmanships. You are a well respected football team facing another great team. The game is tied at the moment. At the very end, the ref makes a completely bogus call that even you know was unfair - but your team won. Yes, the crowd will be cheering you on, but you know that you didn't truly win, so you feel unaccomplished, pitiful towards the other team, and kind of lazy. Then the other team will look at you and know you have not earned what you received. That is embarrassing in my eyes. This is how I feel about America. If you read my first post, you would see that I said I'm grateful. There's a difference between being grateful and being proud. I would probably be grateful if I won that football game, but certainly not proud - making me feel embarrassed instead. In America, I'm just another lazy kid, yet I have everything handed to me when I compare myself to other countries. That makes me feel unaccomplished, pitiful towards the less fortunate, lazy, and altogether embarrassed.

Patriotism and Nationalism
I'm embarrassed that I have it too easy when I haven't even really earned anything. Is that better?

Patriotism and Nationalism
I agree with Magekillr completely on this. I mean, I'm grateful that I'm an American because so many other kids from various countries have it a lot worse than me, but that doesn't necessarily make me proud. To be honest, I'm a little embarrassed.

Achievements becoming less worthwhile?
Personally, I'm proud of all my achievements. Others might not be impressed, but I play this game for what I think - not for what they think.

Real World Trading: Reasonable or not?
Exactly, it's cause and effect. *Breaking RWT rules you agreed to --> Floods game with bots *Putting nails in the middle of a road --> Flat tire *Leaving the cash register open and unattended --> Stolen money *Blocking a fire exit --> Fire happens and no one can get out *Giving child a weapon --> Child endangers other children If you give a knife to a little kid, you're going to get in a lot of trouble. Not because of the fact that you gave it to him, but because of the fact that it will lead into more hazardous occurrences. That being said, rules are there for a reason. There's a reason you will get in trouble for all of those things I listed. And that reason is the effect those actions cause.

Summoning - scroll 'lag'?
It's annoying, but I'm not sure if they meant to or not. My bet is yes. It's realistic after all anyways. When you tell a pet dog to sit, it takes a little bit of reaction time.

Facebooks, Myspaces etc.
Yeah seriously. There's nothing wrong with extending relationships over the internet. It makes things way more convenient. I remember times where I had to tell my friends important stuff - good thing I had them added on Myspace. :P

Jagex hiding mistakes with more updates.
Maybe it's because they found out that there is no way of pleasing those select few, unless they didn't mind allowing RWT to come back to the game? I don't think you guys understand. We don't view Jagex as gods. You are just blowing things out of proportion with most of these propaganda threads, along with blowing things out of proportion by saying we worship Jagex. In fact, I've agreed to numerous rants before. I even ranted myself a few times. We're not saying things are perfect, but they are pretty damn good or else Jagex wouldn't be as successful as they are.

Real World Trading: Reasonable or not?
It's not money. It's greed. Back before money existed, people still killed each other over possessions quite often. Get rid of money, and we'll still have people fighting over land and possessions. Get rid of RWT, and bots are gone. Using the same type of logic you are using, I could just say there is nothing wrong with giving a weapon to a child. The act of giving him the weapon doesn't cause harm - the child beating other children with the weapons is at fault. ~Giving a child a knife is reasonable because it in itself doesn't harm anyone in any way. ~A child hurting other children with a knife is not reasonable because it causes harm to the victim. The world would be a very strange place if everyone ignored the transitive property.

Jagex hiding mistakes with more updates.
It takes a longer time to program it than it does to play it. That's why console games take years to make and only days to beat...

The incredible hulk.
I saw the first half of it. :x Things went a bit slow at the beginning, but overall it was pretty entertaining.

So it's summer (In NA atleast)
This summer I have been practicing bass, babysitting, and doing my stupid community service. :? Oh and I also had to move to a different house, during the time that TIF was unavailable.

RS: scientific vs. relaxed approach
I think everyone has their own happy-medium when it comes to this. I think I lean more on the scientific side though.

Real World Trading: Reasonable or not?
There's a reason why Jagex said in one of their diaries: "The RWT of all evil".

Justified Number of Refills
Yeah water does wonders most of the time. I think soda is like a dessert among the beverage-world. Sometimes it's okay to be a little gluttonous though. You only live once after all. Look at the holiday Thanksgiving. It's a day where you're encouraged to indulge. As for weight - I'm one of the lucky few who have a really high metabolism. So that argument doesn't really affect me. As for the seven deadly sins - anger is also a sin. So is pride. Almost everyone sins constantly without knowing it. Just because it's a small act of gluttony, that doesn't make it wrong in my eyes. Consider the African American Pride Month. An African American who partakes in their share of pride could be considered a sinner. I think the seven deadly sins are far too broad and general to just add onto an action and call it "immoral".

Justified Number of Refills
Surely false advertising is a sin? To be honest, if I saw someone give me a mean look like that I would take one more refill, on the house. 8-)

ok how many partners is it ok to have {no mature content}
To avoid jealousy issues, I think it's fair to only have one soul mate at a time. Call me old fashioned. As for rebounding - I don't see a problem. If you were broken up with, you are probably dealing with some pain that another lover could help you cope with. You just need to move on.
