  1. If I remember the boost is roughly +30% damage it's not really worth it as melee would be faster unless you're range slaying then it becomes the best option. The only place I'd think of using it is ranging kbd. The only other -bane I'd consider using would be abyssalbane arrows might be worth it, and wallasalkibane arrows/bolts.
  2. Word on the street says chrome users will have a little surprise upon logging in.
  3. There are also new gloves from Dominion Tower that beat barrows gloves in terms of their specialties. While Goliath Gloves turn barehanded combat to a crush version of a whip.
  4. Just to verify you can put iron within scrolls into your helm. edit: ninja'd
  5. It does both, works kind of like ferocious ring in Kuradal's dungeon, but instead of +40 it's +10 for every 50 vyres you burned maxing out at +100 with 500 burned.
  6. The ones in darkmeyer drop deaths/blood runes that usually make up the most of your profit. You'll only be hitting max xp/hr there if you have 500 vyres burned as it brings up the minimum hit.
  7. I agree. I still have Robert's items in my bank, incase someone somehow finds a way to turn him back to human... Goblin potion with human ingredient? I also kept them with me even on the final battle. >.> In the update faq it says that the items will be for a future quest so you can destroy them for now and get them back at kethsi then. Bob's collar though you can give it back to him now.
  8. The major flaw that will add several weeks is that the citadel must already be that level for you to upgrade something to that tier. For example you couldn't upgrade tier 2 citadel and tier 2 woodcutting plot in the same week. Also you can only upgrade only one medium building (aka battlefield/storehouse) each week, and only 2 skill plots each week. I was actually working on the total resources each week but I got busy with other things, I might get it done later next week.
  9. HYT. I'm not in a clan so it doesn't appeal me too much. Oh, nice. I was just about to ask about something like that. One question: Does HYT clan have any policies against inactive players? I'm not a very active player anymore, but I sometimes log in on a blue moon in order to chat. I'm looking for a large-ish clan where everybody's welcome and you can just chat if you want. There's no real policy at the moment, there are a couple inactives and I doubt we'll reach the point that we'll have to kick you from the clan for being inactive. So yeah you can join if you want. Edit: lep is right, it's unofficial; I missed that the first time around on the quote. Also I just found out we can do partial payments for upgrades, so it's actually easier then I thought. It's very possible for clans with 50+ people to make it if they devote time to the upkeep. On the other hand if you have a clan of 340 with well planning it'll still take almost half a year to reach tier 7 citadel.
  10. Assuming you started out at level-1 attack/strength/defence weapons 1 attack- red-topaz machete 5 attack- steel scimitar 10 attack- black scimitar 20 attack- mithril scimitar 30 attack- adamant scimitar 40 attack- rune scimitar 50 attack- some obsidian weapon (either dagger or sword w/ berserker necklace) or maybe leafblade sword (w/55 slayer) 60 attack- brackish blade 70 attack- abyssal whip 80 attack- chaotic weapon (generally rapier, requires minimum 80 dungeoneering) Pretty much 1-40 highest level scimitar you can use, 50 attack is really an optional switch. Unless you become a pure in which case it depends what kind and how you want to level etc. For melee armour 1 defence iron 5- steel 10- black 20- mithril (or initiate w/ recruitment drive quest) 30- adamant (or proslyte w/ slug menace quest) 40- rune (or any rune varient) 50- granite (or you can stick to rune, not much difference) 60- dragon (usually not worth the cost) 70- barrows armour (various different sets, generally worth the cost possible to mix match) 80- torva (the current "end game" armour) If you haven't really picked it up, it really doesn't matter other then the iffy parts around 50-70. Just use the best gear you can. Ranged armour is pretty much leather, studded leather, snakeskin, green dragonhide, blue dragonhide, red dragonhide, black dragonhide/karils, armadyl, and then finally peronix (current range "end game" armour). Magic armour not really much of a choice other then different style robes at certain levels. If you need any more help just message me ingame or something.
  11. The Unofficial tipit chat right now is "shyla." As for unobtainable items, none come to mind other then how the dark dagger from legends is now reobtainable.
  12. At first it is a trust trade, in that you're saying that you will double the money after you receive it, but the instant you log out you just did item scamming because you didn't follow through on your side of the trade. In that case you were not legitimately doubling money therefore you were item scamming and it is against the rules, and you can get banned/muted for it. Trust trades on their own are gray area, but the example you put up was flat out item scamming.
  13. There are 4 tasks that are missing on the lumbridge one that is hidden they are: 1. cut a regular log 2. burn a regular log 3. catch a crayfish 4. cook a crayfish
  14. thought it looked more like a ring myself. Grice's cooperative principle says its a broom. One million points for anyone who understands that without googling it. Heck, 100,000 points if you can understand it after googling it. Only if schrodinger's cat is dead or alive. On-topic What armor is this? I couldn't find it anywhere and the closest thing I could find is Bandos trimmed rune plate but it doesn't look like rune.
  15. From what I figured is that Jagex is constantly pushing it with what their graphics can do and it is starting to get more so complicated to update everything without a hiccup. I wouldn't be surprised if updates actually start coming slower just so they can manage to get everything to work. As the game gets bigger the more difficulty they'll have with the updating. It's a browser game that updates pretty recently with very little server downtime; they'll eventually hit a limit and have to revamp their system, but it's really nothing to be surprised about.
  16. It appears I'll have to be taking a temporary break. A bit over 3 weeks ago my dad died and he was paying for pretty much everything. Right now there's enough money to deal with all the important stuff but right now I don't have as much time to goof off (even if I don't have a job). I'll be going back to university in august anyway so I figured if I find myself with time and money to spare I'll come back, but for now I'll have to take a break. I will still be roaming around forums though because I'm a total information hog. P.S. [hide] I'm a guy[/hide]
  17. I'd like to point out it starts at friday NOON GMT, not midnight. (eg. 6AM US central time friday morning). Wouldn't want people logging in without realizing it's already the weekend now.
  18. Welp, guess im going to try another server. Shame, Red Dragon was nice and quiet. :P It shall be missed, and please no one rage on official forums. It's rather distasteful considering how often they emphasized that we wouldn't be able to get on reddragon forever. The biggest reason they took it down I would suppose was because reddragon pretty much became a test server for them to test updates before going out to the beta servers finding out if the servers can manage the update. Like I said it was fun while it lasted, but I don't think I'll continue on in beta.
  19. I managed around 15k gold overnight. We should also pay attention to what dynasty we join if I remember correctly. There was something else I wanted to say but I don't remember.
  20. Everyone should add me bc I'm cool like that Username: Allmonkey Edit: also just for reference, friend requests here ARE case sensitive
  21. Those numbers given for bolts isnumber of sets of bolts needed so multiply your number by 10.
  22. You can just not use the lamps... Then another question, can you bank the lamps? :P I'm just not sure yet what skill to use it on since using it on prayer is kinda pointless for me now, maybe mage but I'd rather wait or something. Not sure. Following the fact that event lamps are not bankable, I'd assume you can't bank the lamps. It's only an assumption though. They aren't lamps... they're experience that you get similar to that of WGS you can just not ask for it. edit: grammar
  23. The Elite task "Attempt to picklock the door to the basement in Yanille Agility Dungeon." says 83 thieving required, it takes 82 to attempt.
  24. I couldn't find any real good ones here, they're both kind of out dated. viewtopic.php?f=180&t=791526&hilit=zmi viewtopic.php?f=180&t=767262&hilit=zmi There really isn't much to it other than running through the monsters, an easier way to bank though is filling up your bank with junk so you can hit the deposit all button and not deposit your pouches but all your runes instead.
  25. I say get rid of the carrot and dragon kite, you can easily get them back from the smelly guy in draynor. And for even more space if you can get 42 construction before members runs out you can buy the better costume storages and deposit your random event clothing for more space. And if that's an omni talisman you can drop that too because it's useless in f2p and you can get it back for free in members. The only other thing I see that you could drop might be the keys, I'm guessing melzar's maze and tavelry dungeon key; the former you might want to hesitate if you actually enjoy the place, the latter you can easily get back in members.
