  1. I am now the leader of the Godlike Slugs guild, which is one higher than the ELITES at the moment. Kiss my ass.
  2. If by huge you mean the actual given surface area of any generated planet is 7 times larger than the planet earth's.
  3. I think I should get some appreciation, too, since it's me in the gallery :P
  4. My essential mods now are the nVidia DX9 fix (makes the game run at over 100 fps if not capped, I was getting 14-20 with the stock settings), Fellout, Centered First Person Camera, Darn's UI (makes it more PC and less XBox). With those, I can finally start playing.
  5. Most of the major bugs are fixed, but I am holding off at least until Darn gets his UI mod working and someone makes a centered third person camera. I have standards from FO3 :P. The ironsights are a huge improvement.
  6. Started a new world since my computer had to be wiped. My forge is built into a hill and is now 16x16. The shaft will be 14x14, which will take forever to clear. I plan on having it jut one level above ground (but overgrown with trees) and the second level will be a storage room for ores, slag, and dirt. I need to try to get at least the vertical shaft down to the bottom before the update. The lanterns will definitely help.
  7. Update. Started a new world and made a "hobbit hole" (12x12x4 stone building completely covered with dirt and grass) and from there began a 4x4 shaft down to the bedrock. A staircase winds down around it. And I mean real stairs, as in no jumping. I did strike into a very rich cavern and am starting to uncover a bit of ore. I am still 20 or so layers from having the shaft hit bottom.
  8. Well, got it working. Evidently my issue was bad video drivers. I have a small bailey at the moment. Two floors up and one underground. It overlooks a massive open mine full of coal. I've also gone down to the lava layer and found a cavern with the ruby crap, some gold, diamonds, and iron. Desperately searching for iron, though.
  9. I have a premium account and I can't even play it...
  10. I'd like to play but damned if I can get the alpha to work :(.
  11. Both browser and client. And it won't even let me to the menu.
  12. I would like to play this. I bought the alpha and keep getting this error when I try to start it up. Sent an email to support but the auto-reply was pretty much "im too busy to answer you" and the forums didn't seem to be any help. I did think it was odd it says I am running Win7 x32 when I do have x64. Minecraft has crashed! ---------------------- Minecraft has stopped running because it encountered a problem. 13. The beauty of it is, though, that you are guaranteed an item.
  14. So 55% had one pair, 99%, so with this we can conclude that 44% had more then one. So lets just say 44% had two. 440,000 x 90,000 = 39,600,000,000 1% had more than 50 pairs 10,000 x (50 x 45000) = 22,500,000,000 Edit: Its way way worse if you calculate the 44% having atleast ten boots, which probably sounds reasonable since theres a GE button that increases your quantity by ten. Second Edit: Also its quite funny how the profit margins for these 3 groups are. 550,000 people made 45k. 440,000 people made at worst 90k. 10,000 people made 2.25m. Gee that seems real fair doesn't it. Keep in mind that the 44% can be anyone who has more than one or...zero? Not everyone has them.
  15. 12pure. You might want to get the money you spent on your economics degree back, because her post made a hell of a lot more sense. Mostly considering that the runescape economy does not fit any real economic model, is in no way stable like a game such as EVE, or the fact that Jagex knows their game economy best. Her point? The amount of money made due to this is a drop in the ocean. 76king more than likely produces more money than this on a daily basis and you guys love that, don't you? Coin drops from monsters across all worlds more than likely surpass this threefold. High alching? You've left this cashflow behind. People were using climbing boots as a cheap way to get decent protection without paying for it. Jagex fixed that. A minority of people profited (and really, in one day of this "leak" nobody is going to accrue more than a few hundred of these boots, especially when "a whole bunch" of people are world hopping trying to do the same.
  16. I wouldn't say half, but the vast majority of those were gold farmers.

  18. Hey Chey, get better soon!

  19. You apparently have no idea what real beta testing is.. Been beta testing `game maker“ very much (game maker is a "game development IDE + programming language"). And during the beta test (All test together took half a year) over 1000 bugs were found and fixed.. And only about 50-100 people were actively reporting issues.. However I do share jagex concerns with "impractically in runescape". Only thing they could do is: you can sign up for a beta, and during that beta your can't use the "old version" anymore (and your gains would be wiped at the end of the beta). There is a massive difference between software that a very small population is trained with and understands/desires as opposed to a videogame itself. Every major MMO game with an open styled beta has been plagued with users coming and and assuming that it's a final product and therefore complaining everywhere they can. Most recent example is Star Trek Online, has happened in several other communities. A small population tests while the majority just play. Arenanet has even announced that it will not have an open beta for Guild Wars 2 for this very reason. Closed betas by invite/application? Works well. Open for all? No sir.
  20. I managed to work my way up to level 8 today, which is good because I can carry twice the C4 on my recon runs. I really want to get to level 9 for the Thompson. That will give me a reason to play Medic. I also unlocked AT mines on my engineer but I have not used them yet.
  21. Public beta testing is a failure and essentially boils down to people downloading it simply to play it as if it were a demo.
  22. I stopped playing CS:S and DoD:S Because just about every server started enforcing sv_pure which ruins my ability to use custom models. :(
  23. I'm by no means a great player, but I am doing pretty well for myself ingame. Currently Private 3 and recon is my strongest profession. Just unlocked the third rifle for it. I am really good with spotting targets and calling down mortar strikes at key times, though :)
