There's your problem. Always use your laptop on a hard surface or a laptop cooler. Using it on the bed blocks the vents wich provides the air to cool your laptop. As for the "hardware can degrade over 3 years" I call [cabbage]. If hardware fails after only 3 years it's time to change your brand as the one you have is obviously made extremely cheap.

Any laptops will work even if they are bent. As long as the circuits/hard parts are still intact. What's the point in paying double for the mac if you're not going to use the OS. Better stick to Windows based computer, unless you are willing to try Linux which is also an option, and you can buy a cheap computer for it. Asus is defenetly the way to go. My 3 year old Asus still works as good as it was when it was new.

Future shop is overpriced. You'd be better off getting an Asus laptop on Newegg.

Wouldn't be any use for you. It only makes a real difference for computers that has 1GB- RAM. That is except if you have an excessive amount of programs open that take a lot or RAM and fills it up until it runs low.

Not working on multiple computers points out to something outside of them. Have you checked your router to see if the game's address isn't blocked on it? Entries in the hosts file don't affect ping, but the name would have resolved to an IP address not otherwise associated with runescape.com (so the host defined in the hosts file would have been pinged instead of 82.211.114.127) I stand corrected.

The co-worker obviously bought it from someone well known to him/her. I saw a vid on Youtube where a guy bought a post 2003 corolla off his cousin for 500 bucks. He even filmed the whole transaction to prove it's legit. And I'm priiitty sure nobody would sell a 2008 for 850 bucks to a random person. For god's sake, it's only a 3 year old car.... I wouldn't worry about high mileage on Hondas, Toyotas and Volvos. Those cars were meant to keep on running and running. That's specifically the reason why they're so popular. That coworker bought it from a dealership. Car had a minor accident, but I don't know why it brought down the price as much as that since my Echo has 2 minor accidents and is still worth more than what I paid for it.

Well, she does say up to 2000. You may get an old Cavalier or Sunfire for that price. I think the criteria mentioned a "good, reliable car". To my knowledge, a Cavalier or Sunfire are one of the worst cars for reliability since they're poorly manufactured. Maybe that's why they're so cheap. What really ticks me off is that it mentioned she is a single mother so that she might get a free handout from someone who's (oddly) generous enough to give her a good ride for such a terrible price. The only thing I hope she will end up with is a lemon. I saved 8 years of my life into buying a car that's atleast yr 2000 and reliable. It took me atleast a whole month to find that kind of car and I had to pay 3,500. :rolleyes: It is actually possible. One of my coworkers got a 2008 dodge for $850. Also depends on what Windows detects as resolution. Windows 7 (assuming that it is what he uses) will limit to the max it can suggest. Seeing as it is a Samsung, I know that a lot of their models have a different resolution than the real 1080p for the computer.

I suggest against making holes the case, it's made for certain airflow. You can use a can of air to remove the dust from your case. You will see that it makes a huge difference, just removing the dust.

Basic symptoms of overheating. How much dust is there in your computer? Having looked up the specs of your computer, it's very old, which goes towards Overheating as the problem here. Open your case and look inside, as well as checking the CPU heatsink (Usually square or circle shaped block of metal that has the fan on top). Fix'd Not. Malwarebytes is an anti-malware and can be run at the same time as the antivirus as it only has on-command scanning.

I don't have that issue with my Xbox. Maybe yours is too old? If anything logic would say HDMI should be worse than component. Since component is transmitting one data stream via 1 wire into 1 socket specifically for using that data stream. Where as HDMI is all 5 data streams crammed into 1 wire and dealt with by 1 socket; which would allow for more corruption of the data/signal within the wire and more issues with decoding it back to light and sound outputs. Kinda like how in the old days Scart produced ghosts when Component Av didn't. Not sure why you come back at me with that, I already know that HDMI signal is much better than component. Maybe you get ghosts with component but I never had that problem, and HDMI has never failed me either. To that VGA example in the post above, I can confirm what you are saying. I replaced my graphics card, and am forced to use the DVI to VGA adapter that came with it, since my DVI to HDMI adapter doesn't work with this new card. mini-hdmi to hdmi cables are also too expensive for me, they're not worth paying $50 for the better picture so while I wait for their price to go down, I am stuck with the ugly VGA picture on one of my HD computer screens.
