  1. Hmm... I think this thread could have gone well, if it were not confused with information about bush. "What can we do to stop the hate?" is an excellent question, which was worthy of discussion. Sadly, the poster decided to put in stupid comments, like the Bush election. He was just so anxious to throw that in there  The only useful thing I have to say, is on the subject of the war in Iraq. If Bush hadn't interfered, Hussein along with other terrorist groups would have continued killing their own people anyways. The Palestine vs Israeli war would have escalated, becoming yet another horrific act on the world, a genocide. That's what I honestly believe. If anything at all, Bush has saved the world of despair.
  2. Gucci earrings. 'Nuff said. I don't know a single girl who wouldn't love those as a christmas present.
  3. Lol, do you really think I'm an idiot or something? Illiterate? Suuure. I'm not sure how you got into it Bubsa, I was only really aiming at How2Pk's comment  I know he only thinks of that when he hears the word golf. Fine, no problem. We all know its not true, and noone said it was. I know. He has proved that it's not worth arguing, which he's right, it isn't. He thinks of that for a reason, sadly, but it's just what he initially thinks of from experience. He was being honest...ok, I get it. I agreed, he's right, I wasn't. I really don't see what you're trying to say here Bubsa. :?
  4. Whatever you say guys. You're right, I'm wrong. :?
  5. Your political correctness is sickening me. It's a topic about what you think when you hear the word golf, for God's sake. I answer the question (I really don't see what I could debate on this subject btw), and suddendly everybody starts to interpretate the reply the way they want and put words in my mouth to flame me? For what? The sake of discussion? Oh man, get out of here. It's just a fun topic, there is nothing to discuss. "I think of rich snobs when I hear the word golf." Am I not suppose to question why? I just found it odd, and wanted to know what has happened to make you think that :? I didn't put words in your mouth, or say you said something that you didn't. I KNOW you didn't say all golfers are like that. Infact I could care less if you said all golfers were rich snobs. I just wanted to know why? :? Sorry for asking
  6. And thus, the circle of life is complete :P Remember kids: stereotyping isn't fun but everyone is entitled to and will be influenced in different ways into having a stereotype. It's when they try to enforce these ideologies on others is when the trouble starts. I can't see Daan ever doing that in his post(s); he was merely answering the question. Funny, I thought the whole point in creating any topic was to have a discussion. If everyone just answered the question, there would be no discussion. Its when people question other people's answers...well, you get my point. Lol.
  7. How very non-stereotypical of you. Since I am a golfer and definitley the opposite of that. I average around 10 over par, but I have played for about 2 years now. Play more in the summer but during the school year I have too much work and extra activities. I was just stating what I think of when I hear the word golf, I wasn't saying everybody golf player is like that... Uh, you were serious? I assumed it was sarcasm... I feel really sorry for you to have experienced such loser golfers in your country...Its pretty sad thats what you actually think when you hear the word golf
  8. Lol at some replies so far! When I think of golf, I think of modern day golfing. Around here, golfing is pretty cool. I'd love to take some golf lessons one day. And as far as the fashion sense...its pretty awesome. Golf clothes, polo's, they're just so, conservative looking. I love that look. Sometimes golfers look stupid, but if worn properly, golf clothes have the potential to look amazing.

    Ctrl-Alt-Del

Lol. Don't you just love it when people post on the wrong thread?! Anyyhoww....I haven't visited the site until now, not much to my interest there. Some comics are amusing tho. Btw...when I read the topic I thought, like everyone else, that it had something to do with pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL, and getting the task manager. So since I'm on it, and the title is that, quick Q. When I hit CTRL ALT DEL at school, it goes to the "log off, shut down" etc screen. Anyway I can get it to show task manager? I think all Windows 2000 comps do this, correct? :? Heh, Srry. Just had to get that in there ^.

    Old Cartoons

Omg! I wish I could see some of these shows again  Captian Power The Chipmunks Chip n Dale Gummy Bears Gummy Bears is THE GREATEST cartoon ever created. It was just so...amazing. Omg.
  11. As a fellow Canadian, I have mixed reactions on the subject. The taxes are high as it is, but suing (sp?) companies for harmful products is not someting to be seriously considered. The Canadian government cannot be held responsible for idiots choosing to kill themselves, and then asking for healthcare. No way. Here's what I think should happen: Certain criteria must be met for you to QUALIFY for health care. Ie if you smoke, you do not qualify for certain health care areas (at least not for free). Does that make any sense?
  12. ^ Lol please tell me you're kidding. Admittingly, I've watched a lot of disney movies, and some of em are pretty good. But Cheetah Girls, Gotta Kick It Up? Pixel Perfect? Jet Jackson? You just named the worst of the worst   :x
  13. Yep! Found that just now too: http://johnhaller.com/jh/mozilla/portable_firefox/ Called portable firefox. You can throw it on a usb drive, and its fully functional. One thing I'm still not sure on tho: If I copy my bookmarks and wand passwords to the usb drive, is there any possibility of my personal info being left behind on a school computer? :x
  14. ^ Genius. Problem Solved. As simple as: http://www.opera-usb.com This is amazing. Heh, it's made my day in fact. No more IE at school! Opera! Yay :P Thanks gsw  AD
  15. Hi, Well to be frank, I want to be able to use Opera on my school computer. These computers are restricted by my school board on what I can install and what I can't. However, I see no harm in installing a much better browser, so I'm not stuck using IE all day long. If I know you folks, you'll have some sympathy for me! When I install Opera, which it does allow me to do fine, everything works. However, when I restart or log out, everything installed is lost. The thing is, there is an H drive which is my personal space on the board server. I can place any files on the drive, and it will not be lost upon log out or restart. I have so far installed Opera to that drive, so everytime I restart or log out, Opera is there for me. However, my preferences are not saved. This is because the preferences are located off of my H drive, where it gets deleted each logout or restart. My question is, how exactly do I change the settings to allow every single opera file to be stored on my H drive so it does not get deleted? I know all preference paths are stored/can be changed in the opera6.ini file. However, if I change the paths to whatever I wish, will it work? Thats what I am not sure of. Is it as simple as changing the paths to my H drive or what? Note: I am NOT trying to get around school restrictions necessarily. This is not one of those stupid posts saying let me play runescape at school. I simply wish to surf a real browser while at school, which my school does allow me to do. I AM ABLE to install Opera, but it simply does not save preferences, which I want it to do. Thanks, Avi D
  16. Ahh, the techie explanations ^^ :x I have a more...simple explanation, I guess. You had to pay what, $20USD for Opera just a few months ago? Firefox was always free, or at least was free way before Opera. It's like having free pizza from pizza pizza, or $20 pizza from pizza hut. It's both similar in taste, but one is free. Obvious choice, unless your a pizza hut fanatic  People had Firefox before they had Opera, so that's what they'll stick with, as there's nothing wrong with Firefox. Just for the record, I'm using Opera, and have been using it for I don't know how long now. Quite a while, I must say.
  17. I'm in for banning this lying moron! My apologies if you are telling the truth, but frankly on the internet, especially about this sort of thing, you never know. It's best to keep those things to your real life friends. And basically, noone here cares whatsoever about your story. Thanks anyways. Lol.
  18. Alright, well I have a question. How does this whole megabit thing work? All I know is the internet speeds are measured in megabits...but how many megabits per second is what? Whats the conversion or relation between kilobytes per second while downloading, and megabits per second? How many megabits under each classification? ie how many megabits = T1? etc. Also, where can I find out my speeds? I'm on Rogers Broadband, but no clue what that technically means. :x
  19. Lol. In your first post you said anyone who wears an expensive belt is a fool, because it won't be seen. A LED belt isn't expensive! Hah! I win! Heh, kidding. But yeah, agreed, noone wears an led buckle belt at work. That would be stupid. But around here the navy blue/black LED belts were popular at catholic schools, matched their uniforms. Also, there was a new "fashion statement" to have some of your shirt tucked in. It actually looks pretty good if you do it right. That's the whole point of having a nice belt...people notice.
  20. Heh, not if you're work requires your shirt to be tucked in at all times :x
  21. Ah, I see. I first saw the LED belt in the Masari music video...and it blew up from there. A few friends of mine have em, they're nothing special anymore. $5 - $10 on ebay...no biggie. They were cool when it first came out tho!! Here's my current two belts: Armani Exchange GUCCI Both belts bought off ebay, in the $30 - $40 range. Pretty cheap, and good looking. A good belt always goes noticed...it's just something different. Nice shoes and all that are common, a really nice belt is something to really stare at 8)
  22. Well for anyone who cares, I've finally figured it out. The multiple drives problem was due to the fact that both drive jumpers were set on master. I simply switched one jumper to slave, and it worked. Hah.... Second problem of my computer identifying it wrong, there was an installation problem in nero. I simply uninstalled and reinstalled, and norton correctly saw my dvd burner. As for it appearing incorrectly in my computer, supposedly windows xp cannot identify dvd media, is what google tells me. Anyhow, it all works fine, and I've successfully burnt my first dvd. Yay. :P
  23. Well I recently [today] purchased a cheap Comstar DVD +/- RW. It reads and writes at 16x...and was on sale at BestBuy Canada for 39.99. Here is the link: Comstar DVD RW On top of that, I purchased a spindle of 50 DVD-R's, on sale for 17.99. Here is the link Maxell DVD-R Now onto my problem. My computer recognizes the drive as a DVD-RW. However, when I insert the blank DVD-R, the DVD-RW drive changes to a CD-R drive. I cannot even write a single thing to this disc, at all. Prior to the DVD drive installation, I had a cd-rw drive. When I try to use both the CD-RW and DVD-RW drives, my computer identifies it as one drive, which does not even work altogether. When I insert the blank DVD-R into the CD-RW drive alone, it correctly identifies that I have a DVD-R blank disc. So my DVD-R disc works. My DVD-RW drive works. My CD-RW drive works. But NONE will work together. I cannot operate any of the two mentioned above with one another. What the heck is going on?? More specifically, both drives are connected on the secondary IDE channel. When simultaneously connected [both connected at once] the BIOS identifies it as one drive on the secondary slave drive, and as a very odd name with letters, numbers, and a few??'s. So right off the bat, the BIOS identifies both wrongly as one. When I attach one onto the Primary channel with my hard drive, it causes my hard drive to malfunction and not boot up. It's very weird... Even when only my DVD - RW drive is connected, and I pop in the blank dvd-r, the drive changes to CD-R. :x Help please! :( AD
