Go white sox !
Ah, whitesox win. Surprising really, considering the Astros lead in what, 3 out of the 4 games? I expected Astros to win games two and 3 :x Anyhow, Chicago is still a great team to win it. Guillen is hilarious. Sidenote: Roger Clemens retiring for the final time? Was this his last series ever?

Songs That Touch a Nerve..
On this thread I've seen a few songs that are really great imo. Those are Changes - Tupac, and Dance - Nas. I love it when rap music has meaning like that. Other songs that have great meaning to me personally are I'll be missing you - Puff Daddy f. Faith Evans (surprised noone mentioned this, after Biggies death), I Miss You - DMX, I Wish (Remix) - R Kelly, One Mic - Nas. Lyrically and emotionally, those songs are all classics.

Attention hockey fans!
The new NHL is amazing. A ton of goals per game (so many 10+ games!) and many are also even going onto the shootouts. I love it. Leafs lost twice in the shootout, but oh well. I'm still in favour of it. 4 game winning streak! Oh yeah! Anyone watching the game right now? Leafs vs Flyers... tied 1 - 1 in the second. :P

Do you lock your doors? (aka. trust the outside world?)
The world outside of my house has proved to be anything but safe. I wouldn't dare leave my house unlocked, even though I live in the better area of my neighbourhood. The door is locked when I'm home, the door is locked when I'm not. The door is always locked. Btw, I'm Canadian. It's so untrue that Canadian's don't lock their door because it's so safe down here. Parts of Toronto are comparable to many of the worst areas in the States... Reminds me of a new underground DVD out last week. It's sold only at ONE store in downtown Toronto, and its about life on the underground. On the streets, in the worst areas of Toronto. It shows grown black men showing off their guns, shooting at gangs/gang wars in broad daylight, etc. I've seen so many drug deals right in front of me, that it's just natural now. And again, I live in a good area of Toronto. Lol. So whoever doesn't lock their doors....you're crazy. I don't care where you live, it's just not safe. Anything can happen anywhere. The world outside has done nothing but show how unsafe, and sick it is. Some people out there will just do....anything. Way too dangerous for me. I'll stay in my house, locked doors, and on msn all day. Lol, I wish. But you get my point!!

Do You Have Stairs In Your House?
Yep...I have 2 sets of stairs going downstairs (one from kitchen to downstairs, one from dining room to downstairs on opposite end), one set of stairs to get on the top floor from dining room, and one more small set into the attic.

Mmmm if you say so. Just thought id let you know that I am a researcher for Wiltshire County Council but if you think that this data will be useful then i guess you are right and I am wrong Lol merc, you're working many jobs right now  It's just another pointless school assignment, give the guy a break :?

Music Poll for a School Project
Uh, ok? You give rap as an option, yet you go on to name like...rock albums and bands in your other two questions. So my answers are : B) Rap Nothing Nothing :?

Health Risk
Disgusting. It may be a hoax, but this sort of thing does happen, I'm sure. Not often, rarely in fact, but it does happen. People are just so sick these days, I dont even know. What are they thinking to do such stupid things? Its sickening. They are the devil on earth. It reminds me of last year, maybe the year before, in Toronto parks. Someone was putting blades and broken glass in childrens parks. On monkey bars, in sandboxes, on slides. BLADES. This is just...I cant even find a word to describe it. :x

iPod Video - Apple's back-up plan?
Omg, I completely agree. I personally own an iPod mini (silver, 2nd gen) and I really like it. However, I wisshhhhh there was an iPod mini photo also. I want a colour screen, and was so mad when the mini's got replaced by the nano. I don't want an mp3 player THAT small, and the headphone ports at the bottom are just :x Dont get me wrong, the nano is cool, but just not for me. As for the "new ipods" (no name? just called the new ipod? wth?) I love them. Its another case of "you don't need it, but it could be useful" kind of things. I would love to have 30GB storage, but I dont really need it. I would love to have little movie clips on the iPod as well, and view pics. So I'm thinking about selling my mini and buying a "new ipod" As for the iPod haters out there....meh. My friend hated the iPod, and had an iRiver. He finally gave in and bought a nano. Now he loves it. People hate the iPod because its so popular, and they just want to be different. For me, and many others, the iPod does what it needs to do, and looks amazing while doing it, all at a decent price. If you can find me another mp3 player that looks nicer, is cheaper, and has amazing software support like iTunes, then ok. But I highly doubt it :? Good job Steve Jobs (no pun intended) AD :P

iPod Protection?
Depending on your location I suppose. Tigerdirect or Newegg always have USB 2.0 cards for cheap, like $10 for 5 ports. Great deals. Thats what I did for my iPod, since transfering 1000 songs via usb 1.1 is amazingly slow. Bought a USB 2.0 card for $13 CAD on Tigerdirect.ca :P

Any Hip-Hop/Rap listeners?
Heh, odd how much we have in common. I am completely pro George Bush, but I love the song "mosh" by Eminem. Its a great song, regardless. Some other noteables right now: Kanye West Jadakiss Birdman Lil Wayne T.I. The Game Paul Wall Tony Yayo Common etc, but those artists are just on my recent playlist right now....so yeah. That's basically who I'm listening to in terms of rap right now. I've also really been into R&B these past years, so right now I'm also listening a lot to: John Legend Trey Songz Avant Marques Houston :P Ray J

iPod Protection?
Buy a nice leather case on ebay or something. I'm getting a flip leather case, similar to a wallet, screen protection and all, for like $10. Soo cheap! Anyhow, check out http://www.ilounge.com for more info on cases, etc

Wondering about peoples musical knowledge...
Well I played the piano from the age of 4 until about 9, guitar from 9 - 11, flute from 11 - 12, and trumpet from 12 til now (16) I also took private lessons in all of the above instruments except flute. So I have quite the years of experience. I can read theory no problem, my lowest theory mark last year was one 98% on the grade 10 theory exam, and 100% on every other theory test or quiz throughout the year. My final overall mark in band was 95. So without sounding cocky, I'm pretty well off when it comes to trumpet and theory. I'm thinking of taking up the violin or sax soon, we'll see. As for my playing ability, got 93 on my grade 10 playing test. So I'm not bad, but there are better. Highest note is about a third C (had to hit it in a song last year  ) and I regularly have to hit high G's, sometimes high A's in songs. I'll see about scanning in some of my music when I find em

New Computer - BSOD. Details Inside.
I havent gone through the hassle of reformatting simply because I fear that it will resolve nothing. Somehow I can picture the BSOD coming up during the Windows installation or right after....which would be a HUUUGEEE pain to have just reformatted, and still get the same problem. I can't help but believe its a hardware or driver issue. That has to be it, right? As far as RAM goes, I tried 3 different chips individually, one at a time, and each time I got the BSOD sooner or later. So I'm pretty much ruling out a faulty ram problem. What else can it be? Note, when I boot up with an iPod or Flashdisk plugged in, I get the BSOD right away. The screen usually says PFN_LIST_CORRUPT or IRQL_DRIVER_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. Also, under eventviewer I have several errors. Most noteable ones include: The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load: gagp30kx viaagp ViaIde The Norton Ghost service failed to start due to the following error: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion. :x Thanks for the replys so far guys. New Computer - BSOD. Details Inside.
Opened up the case last night, popped out the 256mb stick. I awoke this morning to find that my computer had restarted (with only the cosair 512 stick in). So I popped that out, and found that only that specific port was full of DUST. The other two ports were clean, but that one was quite dusty. Could this possibly be the problem? Ill leave it on during the day, and see how things are in the evening. I have switched the 512 stick to the second, clean port, and wiped the dust off the ram stick itself. The 256 stick still remains out for the time being. Any ideas or suggestions?

The Best Things In Life Are Free...
Finally, a good topic here! For me, just staring up outside is priceless. I just love looking at the clouds some days, staring at the sky, wondering whats really out there. The world is so huge...its just...amazing when you actually take time and look at the world around you. Storms are also nice, not the damaging kind, just thunderstorms. One of the things I love most in life is just sitting outside on a stormy day, and watching. Not looking for anything, just watching. Its so...great. Cant even describe it :)

New Computer - BSOD. Details Inside.
Well, I still get the message. I hate this! In the middle of important convos or work, and BSOD. Well heres what I found in event viewer: The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load: gagp30kx viaagp ViaIde The Norton Ghost service failed to start due to the following error: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion. The server service was unable to map error code 998. - Those were all found under System. Im thinking its a memory problem somehow, bad RAM? At this very moment, I have one cosiar 512 and one noname 256. How should I go about testing individually to see which is bad perhaps? How will I know if the memory itself is bad, or if its just a bad mobo port? Thanks a lot AD

Happy 7th Birthday Google!
Google Web Accelerator! Google Video! Google Toolbar! I'm a semi fan of google, and love what they've been doing of late. Happy bday google! But I have one thing to say....how can they afford it? They have like 10 programs in beta, and still remain to have everything free. Over 2.5gb of storage for anyone? How can they afford that?! AD

About love
The last time I checked, I was a woman. And why are you so concerned about me being so concerned about it? If it bothers you that much, maybe you shouldn't even be reading it in the first place, afterall, I'm entitled to voice whatever it is I feel like voicing. And yes, I enjoy reading what is on the minds of others. How open minded can we get. Hm? Oh, my apologies then. Sorry. Well its a forum, so the whole point is kinda to voice your opinion on the forums, which is why I seem so "concerned". You shouldn't care what other people think, especially that of a small child that you don't even know. If I make fun of you, will you get upset? It just looks like you're letting the views of others online effect you, which it really, really shouldn't. I think everyone has already answered, that its okay to love other people besides your spouse and kids. Noone said you couldn't :?

About love
You serious? Some loser on RUNESCAPE made fun of you caring about a friend, and you're posting about it in OT? Uhh...ok. :? Since when did anyone care about runescape, or what some kid says to you on runescape? You're a grown man right, with a wife and kids, yet you care what some 10 year old says to you on a game? :?
