  2. To the poster: ever tried this thing called shaving cream? To me, it sounds like you're trying to shave without shaving cream. If so, yeah, it usually does feel like a grater or something  As for me, I've been shaving for about a year now. Only one of my friends who can grow a full beard 8)
  3. Ah, the Canadian election. I've been so busy with school and work, I haven't even thought about threading it on tip it! Thanks for the topic! I'm going with the Conservatives on this one. Canadian politics however, are letting me down. Will we ever get out of this minority government stronghold? It's either a Conservative or Liberal minority, guaranteed. NDP sound good, but they just have no basis on how they plan to get things done. Simply spending billions of our money will get things done, true, but we'll be broke at the end of the term. Liberals are a disgrace. How can you still vote Liberal after what they've done? Moron Canadians stuck to their ethics will vote Liberal even if a dog was running, and in all seriousness, it's true. Liberals can do anything they want, and still get re elected. Canadian politics are simply garbage. As for the Conservatives, I've been pro-"PC" for a while. However, Harper is also a moron. He sounds/looks like such a fool up there, which deters many Canadians from voting for him. He's just not a bright guy. I believe if the Conservatives had a stronger leader, they would get much farther in the race. I'm currently working in my local M.P.P's office (Laurel Broten - Liberal) and a lot of what they're doing seems good. However, thats merely at the provincial level. For the federal election, my vote would go to the Conservatives. As I'm under legal voting age, I'm simply getting older friends who weren't voting anyways, to put in a Conservative vote for me
  4. Well, I'm a huge fan of Windows Blinds. GSW, remember a few years back when I was so anti-windows blinds? Man, was I an idiot. Windows Blinds is amazing...and it doesn't make my system slow at all. With thousands of styles to choose from, it just never gets old. As for Windows Blinds 5, which I don't have, I'm not too sure. I hear the graphics engine is a lot more advanced, to mimick Windows Vista Glass theme? Aero is it called? Fantastic anyhow :P

  7. Nah, it's H0H 0H0. Think about it, our postal codes are always letter-number-letter number-letter-number Argh. I knew something just wasn't right. The whole point was that it says H0 H0 H0! It's getting late, gimme a break  Btw, you can refer to me as "your majesty". Either that, or "whatever he wants to be called now" works just fine for me :P
  8. Heh, cool post! December in just a few hours for Canada! :P Well, here our mail courier service sets up an adress where you can write to Santa, and recieve a reply from him too! How cool is that?! Here's the general Santa site at Canada Post Write to Santa! 9. Shadowfax, I completely agree with your first statement :x On a more serious note (then again, this topic isn't serious at all!) my weirdest dream, I honestly have no clue. I'll give it some thought, and then edit the post. For now, my last night's dream will do. It was amazingly weird, but lasted 2 seconds lol. You know those juiceboxes? The kool aid pouches of juice? I always drink those at home (high in vitamin C!), well I took one out of the fridge, and opened the straw. But I looked at the straw, and both sides were pointed! Usually only one side is pointy, so you can punch it thru the pack to open it. But this time both sides of it were pointy! Wth!!!!!!!
  10. It would appear, that our tech head, Sharper has been hacked  Now isn't that something.

  13. Thanks a lot for all of your help. I've decided that I will follow through, and most likely attend this program. The thing is, I've learned that my options won't be limited. A lot of what many of you were saying is completely true, this program will not in any way limit my future. I'm now leading towards the Engineering field, and hope that everything works out. Thanks again, decision made! :P AD
  14. Nooo. You can't [meaning you literally...can't] leave! TIF will suck you back in, and you damn well know it! We've agreed on a lot, shared the same views, and I too would like to meet you one day, I doubt it'll happen, but still. Its the thought that counts lol.. Drop me a pm with your email or something, so we can keep in touch. Cya around, AD
  15. Way to ruin a decent post, folks. To the poster: yeah, you're a moron. I don't care you ripped it from another site, and I'm sure noone minds one bit. You just claimed its yours? Ever heard of plagiarism? Good movie anyhow, can't wait for Saw 3. This series is pretty interesting.
  16. Well, the program itself is called ShadValley , and can be accessed at http://www.shad.ca From what I know thus far, you have to be reccomended to the program, and fill out an application. After your app is reviewd, and if you are accepted into the program, you pay roughly $2500 to attend, where they will then place you in a certain location, which can be at any of the universities participating. My teacher will be reccomending me to the program, but it wouldn't be guaranteed that I'd be accepted. However, as they do look at your Chemistry and Math marks, I'm quite confident I'll be accepted. I have a 98% in Math, and a 94% in Chemistry.
  17. Hey, Well, before anyone says that it's sad to ask advice on a forum...don't. I'm really at a crossroad, and honestly don't know what to do. A lot of the people on these boards are computer educated, and smart people at that. So why not get several educated opinions at once? Anyhow, onto my dilemma. I'm 16 years old, and will graduate from high school in about a year. I've always wanted to go into computers, but I'm at a point where saying "computers" is just too general. I have been offered an amazing opportunity to study with top university professors in Canada, which costs upwards from $2500 to attend, in addition to having be accepted first. The thing is, it's a Chemistry related workshop. I will spend an entire month in the summer with the professor, where my knowledge on Chemistry subjects will be greatly enhanced. Along with gaining valuable knowledge, my chances at a high scholarship will be greatly improved. My problem is, I will have to take time away from work. If I decide to proceed flying to the other end of this large country to live for a month, I want my time to be worth it. I don't know if I should go into Computer Engineering (which requires top maths, and sciences) or pursue a career in Information Technology, whereas the areas of work there are more business related. I love both, and just can't choose between the two fields. If I remain home, an opportunity to work in a political office is also at hand, so this is truly a pivotal decision. I'm now turning to details such as what my life will be like in the two careers. Clearly Engineering is more math and number demanding, which can be a tough thing. However, I don't know what the money is like in each field, meaning is there much of a salary difference? What about job opportunities? I know many of you out there are also looking into similar careers, so it would be greatly appriciated if you could quickly take the time to help guide me in the right direction. Just to add, under certain circumstances, the $2500 pricetag may possibly be completely eliminated. I want to work with computers either way, but will it be in Business, or Engineering? Computers Business | Engineering :x :? 2 Days left to make my final decision, and now, tip it, I'm looking to you for advice. Thanks a lot, AD
  18. Updated, as of last night: - Test Name: Strategic Alliances with Competitors - Date: 2005-11-24 20:09 - Test Time: 01:00 - Gross Speed: 121 WPM - Errors: 6 - Accuracy: 95% - NET SPEED: 115 WPM I know GSW is lurking out there with his mad typing skills, but he has yet to post.
  19. Hey, Well I've recently been wondering, how fast can I type? I know I type at a decent speed, but as of late I haven't taken any online tests. Upon searching google, I randomly clicked the first link and was sent to a reasonable online typing test. So yeah, using this test, how fast can you type? For the record, I took the test under 1 minute timed, WPM, and Strategic Alliances With Computers. Here's my screenshot, on try #2: Gross speed of 113WPM, Net speed of 102WPM :x Reminder: No fakes here folk's, that belongs in the media boards. What's your typing speed? AD Edit: Forgot to include the link  Online Typing Test
  20. 99.9% dependant on the situation. I would have to vaguely say yes, however. A person SHOULD DEFINITELY be judged on their past. Man committs homicide. Man goes to jail. Man gets out. Man committs homicide. Are you telling me that if this guy had a great education and credentials, you would hire him for a job if his credentials were the best? You'd not judge this man by his past? For me, I wouldn't even allow him in my building. In life, for me its 2 major strikes and you're out. If you don't learn after your first major mistake, then its your loss. :?
  21. hahaha BWM i wanna drive BWMS and have alot of other cars and what else could I do.. this is my type of lifestyle and im gonna be real rich one day i hope Meh, sorry. I tried to put it as nicely as I could, but you still decide to cry over it. If you enjoy rapping, then great. But even after I said that, you say you're going to be rich one day. All you care about is the money from rapping, not rapping itself. You're probably one of those white wannabe gangsters irl anyhow. Good luck on accomplishing your dream of being in gggg g-unit one day. Eh yo 50. Get Rich or Die Tryin. Notice how 50 cent can actually rap. Many people who are now "rich and famous" might rap about stupid things, but they can still rap. You on the other hand, can't rap. I was just trying to save your life by pointing that out. Keep your dayjob, stay in school. Geez
  22. Lol yeah, go for it! I'd definitely see it on IMAX if given the opportunity. Question tho: Why does everyone feel the need to use a lowercase i when starting a word now? The iPod was/is cool, but now its being overused. Everyone just sticks anything that begins with the letter I as a lower case. iMax? Lol
  23. Well, if rapping makes you happy, then gj. Just dont make a career out of it
  24. To the poster : Wth did you just say. :?
  25. I know exactly what you mean. I would bring it fully to her attention in a 1 on 1 chat at some point, and if things don't work there, bring it to the admin. Talk to the VP or Principal.
