My brother can get 800-1k an hour if he's focused. So if you mine 1k an hour, it'll take about 4 and 1/2 hours - 5 hours. If you only mine 800 an hour, it'll take about 5 hours - 5 and 1/2 hours. P.S. This is with banking, so you could get about 1k upwards probably.

They will only appear if there are no trees to cut down, because they will drop planks, which can be used instead of logs. But you don't just chop down the trees, there has to be non to start with at all. (I think)

Ok, I will. I will edit this when I found the answer. EDIT: Runehq says a yzhaar monster does, but runehq says it doesn't. I trust tip.it though. And even if it's true, the drops are either the same as getting a d chain from a dust devil, or 1/99999(Yes I made the number up, but it's probably true the chance.)

On runehq, if you type in any item while on the monster database, it'll come up with all the monsters that drop that item. Type in "onyx gem", and nothing will pop up. So, as you would say "go suck on your thumb". EDIT: And I also just checked runehq again, it says nothing(when you go to the monsters) in the drop lists about onyx. It just says uncut ruby, uncut diamond, uncut emerald, and uncut sapphire.
