  1. I'm not quite sure I follow. What's the difference between the sequential and random?
  2. I was actually looking at this exact same model, I couldn't really decide if I needed a modular or not that's why I chose this one. But I'll admit for an extra ~$20 it would probably be worth it. I like the idea of keeping the case nice and clean too, thanks. Appreciate the advice! The SSD you suggested looks like a beast compared to the Intel one. Write speed is like 7x faster! The money I save from the hard-drive you suggested could easily be put towards the SSD too. I've never used more then one graphics card at a time, is it easy enough to set up and would it make a noticeable difference? Thanks for advice so far guys.
  3. So, yup. Since I've saved up a decent amount of cash I've decided to FINALLY upgrade from my old computer. I've only used prebuilts up until this point, but I'm looking to get around to building my own. Hopefully with T&C's help. Budget is $2000CAN (1,928.57 USD // 1,521.24 EUR); I don't need a monitor/keyboard/mouse etc. Just the case/insides. Primary uses will be for schoolwork, gaming, and photo editing. At this point I don't think I'll be looking into overclocking, since I don't know how, or plan to purchase a water cooling system just yet. However I tried to plan ahead in case I decide to in the future. I've picked out an idea of what I might get from Newegg, but I'll admit I'm not the most computer literate, especially when it comes down to all the advanced stuff. So I could really use help from people who know what their doing. I'm not entirely sure on if all parts will be compatible with one another so I could use a keen eye for details here as well. Any and all constructive criticism is welcome! Questions too! So, I have just under $600 to play around with if needbe. I'll be purchasing from Newegg.ca, so if suggesting a part, if you could send a link to the part on that site would be great. Thanks Tip.it.
  4. Fair enough, after looking into it a bit more I suppose there is justification for a price increase, such as inflation. Although, reading your post has made me realise the value for my dollar is seriously lacking.. Between there being no Netflix in Canada, useless avatars, me not owning a zune, and other applications that can be accessible online... Anyway, thanks.
  5. You know those nice features they usually roll out in the fall? That's what you're paying for. Care to elaborate? I gotta say, I don't even use the majority of features Live offers.
  6. So wait, what? I have to fork over an extra $10 a year for nothing? [bleep] you, Microsoft. And your overpriced controller too.

Warehouse work for the last two years. The pay, hours and amount work is alright; almost always keep busy. Looking for something new though. Maybe some sort of trade, like an electrician. Then head back to university or something. Dead end job + lack of challenges + lack of advancement =  (Referring to the Warehouse job)
  8. I've done quite a bit of campaign, about a dozen games against hard computers and so I decide to go to Battle.net. First 1v1 game ever, I win. WOOOHOOOO Second 1v1 game, I get zergling + drone rushed... Ugh. Third game, JUUST about to win and some stupid error message tells me I need to surrender. WTF. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU.
  9. You see that giant green bottle? That happened. If they can make that in a day, we can't beat them off. Well, if anything it gives us some time to regain ink. The "T" is beyond hope for awhile, so defending the O and drawing other things (Portal FTW) are what we gotta do until it calms down some.
  10. Up until recently I would only read books when asked to do so for school assignments. Since I've been out of school for a couple years I find myself reading more and more without even 'needing' too. Mind you, I've always like reading different things (debates, articles, etc), but committing to any one book I found strangely difficult. Three weeks ago I got my full license when I could have had it three years earlier. Procrastination, money troubles, everything close to home/bus route seemed to side track me from getting it. I'll be turning twenty in about two months, and I'm still trying to find out what I want to do with my life. Hmm, lots to think about.
  11. Might've been me, I made the T a bit thicker; I saw someone touching up the bottom so I wrote 'gj :)' in fine white lettering. Logo's looking good guys, keep it up.
  12. Just spent a good ~500 ink touching up the O, T, and the left /. Thanks to those that helped. Someone made a small rune tips inside the O, would be kind of cool if we could fill it up with a whole Rune Tips logo I'd think.
  13. Rejoined drawball to find I have 500+ ink. Fixed up the logo a bit only to have it vandalized 5 minutes later; back to the old days.
  14. I've clocked in about 15 hours so far and have roughly half the game done. It's a lot of fun actually. Most of the time I've played was spent gambling, managed to win 4k playing Liars Dice in about half an hour. Still trying to get the "perfect" LD game though.
  15. I don't always drink beer, but when I do; I listen to this. 8-) So, was I the only person that thought of this when I read the title of the thread? (I've heard of Rainymood before, I usually have it on at a low volume when I'm reading, but the other two add a nice touch of class. I'm going to try all three while reading (or drinking!) next time.)

Looks pretty impressive from what I've seen. Mind you, I've never owned a smart phone nor have I really done much research on them except for some articles on the droid. But I think I may get one to upgrade from my old beat up cellphone. Just hope it doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

Neither of my parents owned a manual car when I was learning, so I just drive an automatic. City life isn't the greatest place for an manual car anyway. Dad knows how to drive a stick shift though so I could learn it off of him if needbe, since it doesn't seem too hard to learn.
  18. Will be picking up Alan Wake and Read Dead Redemption later today. Both look pretty kick [wagon].
  19. Disturbed - The Night
  20. Iron man 2, am I the only one that didn't really care for it? I enjoyed the first one but found this one pretty boring, and don't get me started on some of those jokes.. (I'm keeping an eye on you!)
  21. A Clockwork Orange. It's definitely ranked as one of the strangest movies I've ever seen, found some of the British accents extremely annoying at times, but overall; a pretty good film.
  22. When I go with option B, I have to think of food accommodations. I can't live off of Frosted Flakes, Ramen noodles, and Mountian dew for another four years. True enough, do you any money set aside or a job to hold you over? Or perhaps friends you could share an apartment with to split costs? I thought all college students lived off Ramen noodles.
  23. @bballer, Option B is the better of the two at least in my opinion. Sure, living with relatives/parents isn't a bad way to lower the bills, but you just can't put a price on a man's freedom. I would definitely look into renting an apartment - I mean, if you can somehow negotiate a price lower then $200/month you'd be set. Put the money you save towards a more fuel efficient car or school.

Pondered, contemplated, considered, reckoned and believed are a few off the top of my head. Might want to grab a online dictionary and check for synonyms for thought if you need more. Edit: Maaaan, finally reached 800 posts!
  25. Yeah, school is definitely not cheap these days but in the long run I believe it'll pay off. Now I gotta go and try and get some ballpark figures and hope the savings account with hold up.
