Slumdog Millionaire Heard lots about this one and had to check it out for myself; I was pleasantly surprised. Good film overall.

I've only read a select few on that list.. But, I would recommend All Quiet on the Western Front. It's a good book, and even the movie was quite well done. History teacher recommended it, and found myself enjoying it. :

Just a couple things I'd like to throw out there before I even mention the game. http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?f=151&t=785858&start=20 Is the thread you could probably post your idea's in, since it was created awhile back; not to mention you've already posted there. So a new thread kind of defeats the purpose. Luckily I've already beaten the game too, but for others; use the hide function especially on certain parts of text. (Aka, one female character you've mentioned) and possibly the part about Wesker. But yeah, setting aside that. I agree with you. Just as most reviewers have actually.. Resident Evil 5 is a little too much like an action game now, I nearly felt like I was playing "The Mercenaries" the whole game, while I actually was on campaign mode. (Mind you the mercenaries kicks [wagon] (I miss not wanting to go through the next room in fear of getting jumped by something like Nemesis back in RE3.) ) I posted a link in the other thread that mentions Capcom will "reboot" the series, but we'll have to wait a couple more years to see what happens there. Well after quite a few hours of gaming after the last couple days me and my brother managed to beat the game on normal. It was quite the adventure, very fun, and quite addictive. The Mercenaries, just like in RE4, is a blast, co-op mode makes it a pain sometimes, but all the more worthwhile. I'm interested on how the story is going to play out in RE6. I won't spoil anything, but it makes me wonder how it's going to continue, considering what happened in this game. I managed to dig up an article, and apparently Capcom is going to "reboot" the series; add more puzzles and whatnot just like the early-on Resident Evil games. Wait, what? You were impressed, but aren't going to buy it until it hits rock bottom prices? Just kidding, I knew what you meant, but missed a word in there. I'm going to get it, but just the game and not the limited edition/360 bundle. The 360 bundle looks pretty good though; but I don't have much use for that much hard-drive space, and I'd just buy a skin rather then buy a new xbox. Just another reason to look forward to Friday. Awesome. \

-walks forward- I don't know about you, but I think I'm going to join. We're in the same boat then. I've considered joining the Canadian Army for awhile now. Although I'm "half-way" to being one of those "I was going to but.." people. I still have the motivation to join, although not the knowledge where to apply, if I'm REALLY ready for it, etc. A bit of doubt is there, you could say. Since I've taken a year off from school I've wanted to do many things, and this may be an option I'd like to pursue before heading to college. Luckily still have time to decide. :

[hide="Berserk" - Definite Spoilers]I've read most of the manga, and only seen parts of the anime. Guts and Caska do survive, but Caska has a mental breakdown after being raped by Griffith during his ascension to becoming the fifth God Hand, Femto. I think she recovers sometime after volume 25, which is as far as I've gotten. They were both saved by Skull Knight who's rumored to be a king from a thousand years previous in history (he consumes each behelit he finds, somehow making him more powerful against the God Hand). The Band of the Hawk is absolutely obliterated except for Pippin, who wasn't around when it happened. Pippin and Caska stay with a hermit/blacksmith Guts met sometime previously; this is also where Guts gets all his tricked out demonslayer gear like his mechanical hand/cannon and a new six/seven foot sword. Then he leaves to go slay demons. Because there's an old elf home (abandoned) nearby to the blacksmith's cottage, Caska can stay there and her mark won't attract demons. Later, Kentaro Miura introduces a brand of crusader knights which is apparently closely related to the Roman Catholic Church. Guts has a run in with them and their hunt to exterminate the upheaval of demonic activity and witchcraft in the Middle Kingdom. Caska also gets involved, and at some point Griffith returns disguised in his old form to gather new followers and conquer the world. That's the center concept of the manga as far as I've gotten in it. Guts picks up quite a few companions along the way, so about where I am now they've got a group of 6-8 people traipsing around slaying demons. The original arc (volumes 1-13) were the best IMO, but the rest isn't too bad either.[/hide] Sounds pretty good, I'll definitely have to try and find some of the Manga online. I've played through the first skate, quite frankly liked the game; much better then the Tony Hawk series (at least in my experience). I was considering getting skate2, but just it has been mentioned a few posts up, there doesn't seem to be any real significant chances within the series. More or less a few perks that can add a new element to the gameplay, but is it worth $60 is the question.. :? Nah, not yet. Once it comes down in price. Maybe. But not now.

I just finished through watching Berserk. Start to finish in just a couple days; damn, it was addicting. I found the ending to be rather... abrupt, I think would be the correct word choice. Even though it was aired nearly a decade ago, damn, this anime is something else. [hide="Berserk" - Possible Spoilers]What exactly happens at the end with Griffith? He becomes reborn, the armor he wears is back, but it's red now. In the first episode it shows Guts attempting to fight him but he seems rather to be an illusion of some sort, does the story continue in the Manga; and how much does the anime skip out on? How did Guts escape the ceremony with Griffith at the end, and is Caska alive too? Damn, the ending lost me. #-o[/hide]

My password was 20 characters long and changed every four to six months, so at the rate of some of these calculations I'd probably never be 'hacked' or have my account stolen. No one ever did get into my account, and chances are never will; even though it hasn't been changed in two+ years. :P Still, interesting article. My Runescape password is unfortunately more secure then my online banking password.. Sheesh, better get to work on that one. #-o May need to rethink a few passwords actually; since mine tend to go around the 7-8 character limit, that and their due for a change.

I played through the tutorial and some of the campaign. It seems like an alright game. Personally I am thinking of maybe buying it, but if then, only for the PC. I was, and still am rather; a huge fan of Starcraft. This is game is similar in certain ways, but playing it on the xbox 360 I found it... well, the controls still are a little weird. But maybe with time I'd get use to them. Looking forward to seeing some reviews of this game once it comes out, for now I'm leaning towards not buying it though.

Resident Evil 5 Starcraft II Diablo III Half life 2-Episode 3 Assassin's Creed 2 God, I can't wait. Been a good while since I spent a couple hundred for games in one year. (Usually just buy one game a year..) :thumbsup:

He highly recommended it; and since then I've watched the series from start to finish, twice. Although haven't gotten around to watching the movies yet, looks kinda weird with real people. :? I've watched Inuyasha, and Dragonball Z too. A lot of damn fillers between both animes, thing that's nice about Death Note; 37 Episodes. There was only really one "recap" episode otherwise it was always progressing, which was awesome.

I have to agree here, I've always considered myself a huge fan of LoTR too. But this game just doesn't do it for me. Maybe once it's cheaper I'll give it another shot, but for $60, I'll hold off for now.

First thing you could do is consult the manual that came with the MP3 player, chances are there is a pin-sized hole somewhere on the device that is actually a restart button that'll reboot it, and may solve the problem. Secondly, What kind of Mp3 player is it, specific brands will help us to help you; Ipod, Zune, Creative, etc, there's tons of brands, help narrow it down a bit. One of us may have lived through the same problem. I really doubt you broke the device, there must've been just some technical problem within the device, a glitch of some sort, I can't believe the laptop update would make an external device mess up, so I wouldn't worry. If all else fails there's always the possibility you got a lemon, so keep the receipt handy.

I would be playing this today, I love the demo and have been playing it repeatably since it's release. But futureshop/Best buy feel it necessary to DELAY the official release of this game until tomorrow; for whatever reason. So incompetent, -website says Release on Nov 17th -Valve says 18th -Flier says the 19th.. :roll: Soooo I can't wait until tomorrow then, was so looking forward to playing this after work. But will have to wait it seems! :shock:

-Games with horrible voice acting. -Games that are over-rated and your friends just INSIST you play it. -TeIm-mates that don't cooperate. -People that make other people mad intentionally, that don't play by the 'rules' and will go out of their way to screw something up.

Just started up playing Diablo II again recently after a three+ year break. It's kinda fun, but it's really irritating me that I don't have the gear I once had, trying to do mf runs and collect perfect gems to work my way up is a pain. I actually printed off your final article entitled "Day 10: Revelation" I have a copy sitting on my night-stand next to my bed. I periodically read through it when times are a little rough, or just need a little bit of extra movitation. Thanks for writing those articles, the last one I just mentioned helped me change my life around, quite dramatically.
