Its a proven fact that memories are easily altered. False memory research has provided some interesting results, most famous of which is the El Al plane crash in Holland where people were asked if they recalled seeing the plane crash on television. There were no cameras which filmed the crash. I must've been delirious at that time but when I was 10, a group of friends were in an old classroom huddled around a make-shift ouijia board. I swear to God that glass MOVED. My family has never been a present-sharing type (except to other people) Normally I'd expect a card with some money inside and dinner to some fancy place but this year I got a laptop which I'm pretty happy about :D
