Oh gawd, I hate the flood... That seems to be the reason why I delayed beating the campaign on Legendary on all three games. I think the worst part I had was the part in Halo 2 where you're on the lift with the elites and flood just start dropping down.. The first time I played through that, I practically knocked over my chair. :-#

I guess the real problem I have with pro-lifers is that they are trying to apply their personal code of ethics to a decision that is, and should be, a personal one. Just because you think that it is wrong doesn't necessarily meant that it is wrong. Abortion is purely a personal choice, and that is why it should be legal. I will say this again; just because some people think that it is wrong does not mean that it is wrong. If someone is opposed to abortions, fine, don't have one for your unwanted children. But don't try to keep other people from doing what they feel is the right thing. And not to offend anyone here, but a large group of the "pro-life" people seem to be basing their arguments on their preconceived notion that souls exist (In the religious sense), and that makes it wrong to kill a fetus. Look, like I said, I don't have an issue with people choosing not to abort, that's what freedom of choice is all about, but religion should not influence the lives of people who do not follow that religion, let alone the making of laws. Religion has no business in politics or in other people's personal business. Damn it, abortion is a purely personal choice, and there is no reason to allow other people to apply their own standards of ethics and morals to some else's life in this particular case. (I really didn't want to shove in those last 4 words, but if I hadn't someone would have assumed that I was talking about everything, not this particular issue... :wall: )

To control the human population, in any country that does not adopt a limitation of children per family, there should instead be a law of involuntary, random castration. Once every year/two years, teams of surgeons and police are given random names of male citizens between the ages of 14 and 60, and then hunt down and castrate those people. The lists will be drawn from different areas of the countries each year in a rotational schedule, and, depending on the size of the country, each area should come up again around 1-5 times per decade, in which approximately 1/3 of the male population will be castrated. (All guesses on the timing of schedules & percentage of male population castrated are just that, guesses.) Oh gawd, I can't believe I actually typed that out and posted it. Yes, considering the only things are evolution and one person killing everybody, then themselves. Well, I guess I should... Either we evolve to the point where we are no longer human, or we destroy ourselves one way or another. (Nuclear war, extremely aggravated global warming, the nanotech Frankenstein's Monster, et cetera). Of course, we might not go extinct for a very long time, and then through some other mechanism. And that is a real mature way to handle things. Maybe if you were the one who had to go through all the effort involved with giving birth and raising a child, you would look at things differently. And zox, wow... I can't believe you actually tried to justify rape by saying that it is fine if the rapist wants a child. First, how many times has that ever happened? And secondly, how would that make rape okay? :wall: Okay, on to abortion. I think that I would have to agree with a limitation of the first ~5 months, that seems like ample time for a person or couple to discover the pregnancy and decide weither they want to bring a child into the world. Another reason for allowing abortions is the fact that people are going to have abortions, regardless of legality, and legalizing abortion at least allows the abortions to be given in clean environments, with little chance of infection. And quite simply, the world is overpopulated. We don't need everyone to have eight or ten children. Maybe centuries ago when there were less than a billion people on the planet, when it was likely that at least one of your children would die, but not now.

At this point, I think I've lived through around thirty or so deaths... I really don't understand the mentality behind chain letters, do people actually believe them, or do they just think it is funny to waste other peoples' time?
